AT THE CEMETERY

CHAPTER 18

Lance is wandering around aimlessly heading in the Cemetery not far from the house. Brian Calls Ang at the house and tells her that they found L and for them all to meet at the Cemetery. Lill shouts,
"Yo L, hold up." As L turns to see him. Lill runs up to him as L breaks down crying in his arms and says,
"I just don't get it Unk, what am I missing? I just want shit to be simple and normal again... Why me B." L cries while hugging his uncle Lill as Lill pushes back from the embrace and replies,
"Shit ain't ever gonna be easy. Life is always hard, but you strong enough to survive my nigga, now get the fuck up. When your mama comes up in here you hug her, that woman would give her life for the both of you. Remember you had 2 moms and they both ride or dies." L laughed as he was deep in his thoughts thinking how he certainly agrees with his uncle Lill, 'Both my mom's are and were most def ride or die women.' As he was knocked out of his thoughts by Lil saying,
"Now it seems that you  have three Ma's, one is alive and kicking, and the other one is resting in peace, but that sexy ass girl of yours is now taking ur other moms place, albeit in another manner." Laughed Lill and L as he continued his little talk with L and said,
"Just don't follow in my foot steps, and dog that little P.Y.T out, continue to do right by your lil shorty and never let her fine ass go."

"Thanks Unk, I won't." Said L as his uncle hugged him again as they hear cars pulling up. They both turn around and walks towards the rest of the family as L hugs, and lifts his momma up in the air; which kinds of catches her off guard, but she returns the tight embrace as she begins to smile as he hugs her tightly, then places her feet back down on the ground, as he kisses her forehead and says,
"Ma I want to apologize for my behavior, and my previous out burst's earli--" as his mom raise her hands to his mouth to silence him, and replies with tears falling from her eyes,

"There's no need to apologies son. Your feelings are valid and you had a right to behave that way... Trust I understand, and I should be the one apologizing to you... I never meant to hurt you or your sister. I just wanted to protect you both. I love you all so so much baby." As Layla and Treecie walks over as she engulfs all three of her babies in a hug,

L reaches up and wipes the tears from Angels eyes while they all are embracing one another. As they break free from the embrace L apologizes to his sister's,

"Sorry Layla and Tree." As tears threaten to spill from the rims of his eyes.

"It's Ok big head." Treecie says as she smiles at L and punches him in the arm playfully; which makes L laughs at her, then turns to Layla to speak, but it turns into some type of twin connection as Bernard, (Angela's husband who is also known as L and Layla, uncle\father and mainly Treecie's father) walks up and hugs Angela from the back; wrapped both his arms around Angela waist, as he kisses her shoulder blade on the sly when he thinks no one is paying them any mind; which calms her nerves immediately, as she places a soft smile upon her face, as Lance and Layla say in unison the same exact words as if it was rehearsed,

"Mom we love you regardless. You're still our mother, and we are grateful that you were willing to put your life on the line for us, and we love you." Says the twins.

"Awe hell nahhhh!!!!! Them possessed ass kids... See they been doing that shit right there since they were born... That's why we voted for Ang's ass to get them." Brian said while shaking his head as Angela held her kids and laughed.
"Come on babies, let's go see your parents." Angela replied.
"You mean our other parents." Said the twins which caused Brain to say,
"Can y'all cut the twin thing out, that shit is scary as fuck for real."

Amir walked behind his family laughing and enjoying the fact that even in tragic situations they continue to somehow stick together, but he also was on high alert. For sum odd reason he kept feeling like someone was watching them, but it was so much traffic in and out of the cemetery that he just could not pinpoint it, until he looks directly across the street from the cemetery and made direct eye contact with a female that looked familiar drive off. They never took their eyes off each other. He didn't turn back around to his family until the car was out of sight.

"Aye nigga, Damn can you hear? We been calling you for like five minutes." Says Ja'keem.
"Yeah but someone is watching. Let's hurry up and do this shit, the kids got graduation tomorrow." Amir replied as they both looked around then returned to the family. Everyone stood at the grave site looking down at the head stone that had recently been cleaned and it has a picture of both there biological mother and father hugged up boo loving from back in the day.

Layla and L takes a good look at the head stone then quickly share a weird look between each other, as every one begins to turn around and head toward the cemetery exit when Layla says,
"Mom..."
"Yes sweet pea?" Said Angela
"We remember them." replied Layla which made Angela and every one turn around and face Layla. "That's not possible." Replied Bernard
"I know what we saw." said L
"If you say you saw them they must be your guardian angels." Said Kaniyah which made everyone give her a weird look.

"What???" Shouted Kaniyah as she rolled her eyes and said," Can y'all stop looking at me like I'm the fuck crazy... Ya know how they say babies can see angels, well that gotta be how the twins saw Ky'Andre and Janelle." And everyone else automatically agreed as they all entered the vehicles and were on their way back to the house.

When everyone arrived back home everyone hugged one another and said their good byes as they went their separate ways and promised to meet up at the graduation tomorrow. Treecie went to her room and was on her cell phone talking to her best friend Fatima. L went into Layla room to discuss what was on his mind.

"Layla we need to talk." Said L as he entered Layla's room and sat on her bed.
"Aye Yo... I already know what you finto say my nigga." Replied Layla as they both stared at each other with the exact same emotionless face for a good three minutes then she went to say, "And let me answer you before you even ask me. I remember seeing them too." Said Layla.

"I fucking new it!!!!!" Shouted L as he jumped up out the bed. Which made Layla grab L by the shoulders to stop him from jumping and stomping his foot making a lot of noise then said,

"Yo... Calm your ass down before mom and pops come barging in here." Layla Said with a stern look on her face.

"Ard, My bad Sis." Said L as he gave her a head nod then said, "Gone head and tell me what you remember."

( Flashback ......)

L and Layla were in school eating snack at the table during show and tell, when a lady and a man tapped them on the shoulder...

"Hi there... Well aren't you two just adorable." said the woman with a beautiful smile.

"Thank you." said Layla as she smiled her toothless smile because she was missing her front left tooth.

"How are you liking it here at this school?" Asked the man Layla just looked at him but did not say a word..." Her momma and father always taught her to never talk to strangers, therefore she did not speak to him, but the woman looked really familiar so she gave the woman her undivided attention.

"It's ok.." replied L as he shrugged his shoulders. L felt comfortable talking to them which was weird because L was a guarded child; who always seemed to be on the defense and always kept his guard up.

"Do your kids go here?" Asked a smiling Layla.
" No not yet that's why were here, to check out the school and see if it will be a perfect fit for them." the woman smiled and said.
"Ohh. Ok." Said Layla
"It was nice meeting you both L and Layla." Said the woman with the warmest smile.
"You two have a good day, Ok." said the man as he reached out to dap up L, then smiled at Layla as he grabbed the woman hand, as they both walked out of their classroom never to be seen by them again. L and Layla glanced at each other then said,
"Did you tell her your name?" Asked L.
"No... Did you???" Replied Layla as L just shook his head no, as they both looked towards the door that the couple exited out of...

( Flashback over.....)

" Wayment... This shit is too much." Said L, As he grabbed his head with both hands, and slid his hands down the front of his face. Then said.
"Let's get some rest, hell we finto graduate tomorrow."

"I agree with u there broskie. Check you in the am good night L." Said Layla as she got up out the bed and grabbed her pj's, & wash cloth from her closet, along with her bathrobe; which was hanging up on the back of her bedroom door as they both exited her room.

"Good night Layla." said L as they both parted ways and L was headed to his room and Layla went straight to the bathroom to get cleaned up for bed.....
