As you can see, the titles are getting shittier as the chapters go on 😂👌 also, I'm sorry that updates on this are so fuckin rare. I do have stuff planned, it's just getting there that's the hard part sowwy.

In all honesty, even though he knew and kind of trusted Taemin to look after his kids, he still would have rather brought them along with him. He didn't exactly want to leave them behind, but then again, taking his children with him would put them in danger. That slightly rainy day was the daub they'd travel through the forest, past the fence, over the mountain and into the outer civilisation a.k.a the Agma Bul Kingdom. (So y'all can stop being confused, the Agma Bul Kingdom isn't a real place, I made it up ^ω^)

Felix had walked back to his and Chan's bedroom, a heavy sigh escaping him. He was mentally drained and stressed all at the same time. All this bullshit concerning Seokjin and a possible new threat looming overhead was beginning to damage Felix's mental stability. He knew it was causing the others to stress out, especially Ravi considering his lover was captured, but he was sure Chan could sympathize with him.

He knows the gist of how that affected him, and even though it happened over a year ago, Felix could tell Chan still blamed himself.

When Felix had returned to his and his lovers shared room, he wasn't expecting to see little Woojin fast asleep and Chan sitting on the floor quietly playing around with little Hyun-Jae. Hyun-Jae giggled, making grabby hands at her dad.

"I love you baby girl, do you love dada?" Chan asks, baby talking to his daughter.

"Dada!" Hyun-Jae squealed with laughter as Chan picked her up and pretended to nom on her little tummy.

Felix smiled so wide, it hurt his cheeks. Seeing him be so domestic...he honestly couldn't believe that this was the same Bang Chan he met nearly two years ago; the asshole, rude Bang Chan who triggered a memory with just his words.

"You know, it's still kind of hard to believe that your the same Chan I met nearly two years ago" Felix chuckled.

Chan gently sat Hyun-Jae down on the ground, the one year old muttering a 'mama' and proceeded to crawl over to Felix. Chan looked up at Felix, a small smile on his face.

"People change Lix, and I'm glad I did" Chan stood up, walking over to Felix who had now picked up Hyun-Jae and was holding her on his hip, "I changed for you, because I love you" Chan placed a soft kiss on Felix's forehead when he got close enough, the hybrid letting out a contented sigh.

But, the small bout of happiness was short lived as a frown made its way onto Felix's expression. Chan saw the frown, and his expression turned into slight sadness and a tiny bit of frustration.

"You know, after all we've been through, I thought things would get better, that we'd be able to watch our kids grow up in peace, but I guess bad luck is our middle name" Chan scoffed bitterly.

Felix knew Chan had more to say, so he kept silent and waited patiently for Chan to say more.

"I guess I know how Ravi feels right now, in a lot of ways. When you, Changbin, Hyunjin and Seungmin were captured, I was so scared and so angry" Chan gulped visibly, obviously trying to hold back tears, "I still think...if I had been out there with you...if I had been just a minute earlier I could have protected you better"

"Chan, listen to me, it's not your fault-" "No, no you don't understand. I thought I'd failed you. I promised I wouldn't let us be separated ever again, I promised you and I promised myself I would protect you...I thought I'd lose you and the kids, I thought I'd never see you again. I thought...I actually did think they'd kill you Felix" and Chan broke.

Tears streamed down the older's cheeks as he let out a soft sob. He tried to calm himself down, but to no avail. Hyun-Jae had somehow sensed something was wrong, and the little one year old reached out a hand and rested it on Chan's cheek. She too had a frown on her cute little face.

"Dada" the little girl whimpered, sensing her fathers sadness.

Chan managed a weak smile as his hand came up to rest over Hyun-Jae's much smaller one.

"I don't wanna leave them...but I know we have to" Felix muttered with a sigh.

Chan looked at Felix with just his eyes, confused as his tears began to dry up.

"I...I do...I do sort of trust Taemin with them, but...they're my kids, my angels. I have birth to them Chan, and the thought of leaving them behind kills me so much. It's like my body is physically rejecting the notion, and I feel sick just thinking about it" Felix let out a shaky breath, "but at the same time, I know we can't take them because that would put them in danger, and I'd rather put myself in danger than them"

Chan just nods as he leans his head away. The two parents and little Hyun-Jae share this moment for a while longer, not wanting it to ever end...
