(3) SENSIBLE SUBHI
Amidst of luxurious life the love for education hadn't left the princesses untouched. Both were keen listeners and sharp observers. Their basic education had been started after they started to talk.
Listening stories from elders, especially from Kanha, learning more about etiquette, exploring their surrounding were included in their basic education which they were enjoying a lot.
A few days ago they were introduced to knowledge of language. They had learned how to read and write, perfectly.
While receiving advice of elders, Swastika got to know the fact that change was an inevitable part of life. Subhadra too heard the same fact, but the fact didn't create any such impact on her like that created on Swastika.
Swastika's thoughts were roaming around that fact since she was wondering about further changes of life.
She knew that she had to grow up and had to gain education to be a worthy princess. So, she was thinking how the experience of growing up would be, what challenges would come while getting educated and trained.
It could be called as curiosity, but along with curiosity one question had captured Swastika's mind.
"Jiji, why are you sitting alone? Are you fine?" Subhadra ran into the chamber which belonged to her and Swastika.
As it was afternoon mothers were busy in kitchen and brothers were at assembly along with Vasudev. So, it was a kind of alone time for twins. They used to spend it in playing, interacting with children of their age or in roaming around.
"I am fine, Subhi. Actually, I was indulged in a thought," holding Subhadra's hand, Swastika made her sit, and spared a glance to ensure her wellbeing as if she had been away from her since many hours.
"Thought or question, jiji?" Subhadra's gazes were showing a meaningful gesture.
"Yes, it's a question. How did you know?" Swastika was amused noticing the look acquired Subhadra's eyes.
"Thoughts can only trouble us, but questions give us tough time," Subhadra was smart enough to read the inner surface of anyone's heart and mind.
"My Subhi is a wise princess, and I am proud of her," Swastika caressed Subhadra's hand in affection.
"Which question is bothering you, Jiji?" Subhadra's concern came forward to lead the conversation.
"Since I came to know that change of life I kept wondering about you and me. Will you be like this or will any change come in our relationship?" Swastika shared her turmoil in short.
"There will be no rift in between us, Jiji. The bonding of we siblings has a good record. Look at dau and bhratashri! How much they love each other!" Subhadra's eyes shone in ecstasy, and that shine had its reflection in Swastika's eyes too.
"I am confident about our relationship. I was asking about change, Subhi. Even Lord Shri Ram and Goddess Sita had to face the changes of their lives, and we all knew how drastic those changes were!" A sigh slipped from Swastika's mouth swiping away a portion of her worries.
"Their separation hadn't lessened their love. In fact, their story had become the source of love, trust and strength," Subhadra reminded the greatness of the epic love story.
"You are really an uniqueness which unbeatable. I am feeling better after talking with you," Out of joy, Swastika hugged Subhadra with a jerk.
"I have an idea, Jiji. Let's write diary and share our feelings on pages together. If any day we feel distance from each other these delightful moments will bring us closer," Subhadra's ideas weren't only ideas, but inspirations of good causes.
"You are right, and your idea is amazing. I just want to lift these pages to cheer the delightful moments with you. I don't want any other reason which will make us return to take a look at these moments," Swastika smiled a little.
"Let's hope for the best, Jiji!" getting up, subhadra started to collect the stuff they needed.
"In this case I wish the best of the best," Swastika too joined her.
"We are twins, jiji. Twins means together," Subhadra's cheerful tone created its magic on Swastika making her overwhelmed with slight tears.
"This simple statement filled me with utmost serenity. This is the golden statement of my life. I love you, subhi. My subhi, admirable Subhi!" Swastika enveloped Subhadra in a tight hug.
"I love you too, Jiji. My jiji, affectionate jiji!" returning the compliment, Subhadra too reciprocated the hug.
Both of them were lost in each others love, the pure love of siblings which was made them special from others.
