(40) NAMELESS IDENTITY
We do effort for our dreams. We do invest each best things in our dreams, but while running behind dream we forget to love that dream somehow. Doing effort for dream is one form of love towards dream, but loving the dream like we used to do before we start our effort is something else which gets lessened unknowingly.
Siya had only two dreams in her life. First one is to take birth in Dwapar era as Subhadra which got fulfilled in its own way. In the era where people used to share their ambitions proudly, even used to show that off, Siya kept her dreams confidential to herself only.
Siya didn't care about mocking of people about her dream, but she didn't want drag her Kanha and dau to be a part of any kind of unpleasant decision, more or less in anyway. That was why she never had disclosed her first dream to anyone.
Her second dream was also a secret to the outer world as she had no one to share. She was sure that her second dream will be fulfilled sooner or later in this life only. That dream was to visit Puri, one among the four prominent place of pilgrimage which was situated in Odisha.
Kanha and dau reached at Puri with Siya where they are popularly addressed as Shri Jagannath and Shri Balanhadra. The day when they reached at Puri was the day of world famous car festival.
Siya was unable to believe that she was at Puri. Puri town was full of crowd. Devotees from different regions of Odisha were gathered at the same place with the same feeling, ardent love for Lord Jagannath and his siblings who were known as trinity.
When they reached Pahandi bije (the royal procession of trinity) was about to start. Commentary was there on mike informing about ongoing and explaining the importance of rituals of car festival preferring many historical events. Devotional songs were played occasionally amidst of commentary.
"Kanha, I can't understand anything about commentary. I don't know odia," Siya pouted sadly looking at dau and Kanha one by one.
"Don't worry, Siya. The one who comes at Puri never have faced any barrier in understanding me," Assuring Siya Kanha smiled, and at next moment the commentary in air translated into hindi for Siya.
"But they have to face some difficulties in which we can't help in real," Dau spoke looking at a smiling Siya who was surprised over Kanha's miracle.
"Why so, Dau?" Siya asked.
"The reason is population explosion. See, how people are facing difficulties in standing peacefully at their places, and struggling occasionally," Dau eyed at the crowd gathered near three chariots meant for trinity's car festival.
"It had to happen, Dau. After all it's the famous car festival which invited this crowd to pour all their love at their Lords," She shifted her smiling glance towards crowd.
"In other words the sight in front of us is not population explosion. It's the explosion of emotions. It's the love of people towards us even though it's for short," Kanha corrected dau with a smiled which vanished at his last utterance.
"What does it mean, Kanha?" Siya too became serious at Kanha's words.
"People who are gathered here siding away everything have the easy tendency of forgetting us once they get entered into their scheduled life. The competition of going ahead in wealth, carrier, relationship and prosperity of family leave them with so less time to think about me, even to remember me," Kanha explained in a sad voice.
"It's their loss who don't have time for you," She reciprocated Kanha's sadness.
"Exactly, I am not sad due to their ignorance towards me. I am sad as people bothers less about spiritual life saving time from their materialistic life," Kanha's sad smile invited a bunch clouds at sunny sky causing some relief to devotees.
"Kanha has so many matters to be sad with. My poor brother!" Dau interrupted the serious conversation in between Kanha and Siya.
"Playfulness in sympathy, Dau!" Kanha faked a troubled look.
"What can I do even when you don't deserve sympathy?" Dau chuckled ignoring Kanha's troubled look.
"Dau, Kanha, chariot pulling is going to start. I want to go down," Siya's urging gained their attention.
Kanha, dau and Siya were standing in air being invisible to everyone. After Siya urged to go down Kanha landed her at a safe place without anyone's notice. As soon as her feet touched ground she became visible.
Siya was stumbling while making her way towards chariot of Lord Balbhadra yet she was trying to make her way.
"Dau, it's getting difficult for Siya," Kanha's concern didn't make delay in informing dau though the fact was all known to him.
"In order to pull my chariot devotees should show their strength. Don't you know that I adore strength?" Dau flashed a playful smirk making Kanha silent.
With great difficulties Siya managed to hold the rope of Lord Balbhadra's chariot. After Lord Balbhadra's chariot started to move Goddess Subhadra's chariot also proceeded following her elder brother.
This time Siya doesn't have to struggle much to hold the rope of Goddess Subhadra's chariot. She was extremely happy, and was praising her fate with the best words. Expressing gratitude towards Goddess Subhadra she made her way towards Lord Jagannath's chariot.
It was his turn to follow his siblings.
The matter to be surprised was no matter how much time Siya used go ahead the crowd pushed her back. She didn't give up, and continued her attempts.
"Kanha, why are you playing with that innocent girl?" Dau questioned acquiring the role of Kanha which he was playing before sometimes.
"Don't you know dau that I love to play with my devotees?" Kanha returned the playful smirk which he received from dau.
Suddenly something came to her mind, and she stopped trying surrendering her wish to the black Lord who was sprinkling the nectar of his smile over devotees. She just completed praying him a bunch of people came from back pushing her towards the chariot. Finally she got the chance to hold rope.
"The one who surrenders to me I serve to that person. For reaching to me surrender is needed, not strength," Kanha placed his elbow on dau's shoulder while stating this.
"Siya is too sensible to realise this fact at right time," Smiling at Kanha, dau turned to grace devotees with his smile.
Prior to evening all the three chariots reached at their destination which was Gundicha temple, the residence of aunt of the trinity. Evening veneration started before taking the trinity into Gundicha temple.
Kanha and dau came down, but they were invisible to everyone except Siya. They were standing away from crowd.
"Siya, your journey has ended here," Kanha saddened his face yet his playfulness was a bit evident on his face.
"It means I can't meet you both anymore," Siya's eyes became teary immediately.
"Sadly yes, Siya!" Dau too joined Kanha knowing he was playing.
"The one who lives inside me doesn't need to meet me," Coming forward Kanha wiped Siya's tears.
"I didn't get it," She narrowed her confused eyes at Kanha.
"You journey ended here leading you towards salvation," Exchanging a short glance with dau Kanha smiled.
"What did you say? Sa- sa- sal-va-tion!" She stammered which was so obvious on her part.
"But I haven't done anything yet to attain salvation," She wasn't able to believe what he heard from Kanha.
"Salvation isn't any achievement, Siya. It's just an aspiration to life," Dau patted her head lovingly.
"For attaining salvation pilgrimage, penance, donation, veneration aren't necessary. You just have to surrender yourself to my love. It's enough in itself," Kanha cleared the basic and only way of salvation.
"Moreover you wished to get merged in me while pulling chariot. I have accepted your wish. So, are you ready to be a nameless identity being merged in me?" Kanha's playfulness came out from his fake expression of sadness.
"Kanha promised Kali purush that he will wonder at your nameless identity. It's time to fulfill that promise," Dau was smiling meaningfully.
"Before attaining salvation I wanna see you siblings all together," Keeping her request trinity appeared in front of her in their human forms.
Dau and Kanha were present, just their maya means Subhadra was missing. Goddess Subhadra appeared in between of her brothers in no time she was summoned by her brothers.
Siya was awestruck after seeing the trios, especially Subhadra. Their beauty, their glory, their personalities and most importantly their divinity was suitably matched to be called as perfect yet unparalleled.
Capturing their divine appearance Siya closed her eyes and turned into a mini lightening body which got merged into Kanha making a beautiful end to her journey.
