You wiped my tears

And allayed my fears,

You were strong

When need be,

To handle the broken me.

It wasn't easy, I'd say,

To bring me back

From being frayed.

You stood and fought for me

Against the world when,

They maligned me.

You put everything you had 

On the line of fire,

Your faith in me

Overrode your unease.


You gave hope

When there was none,

Gently prodding, pushing 

Teaching and polishing,

The raw diamond in me.

You said that-

"I'm afraid that you can't be"

To challenge my faith in me.

Urging me to see

My limits and break-free.

Even though we are far

You'll always be a part,

Of me

In everything that can be,

Heart beats for you, true.

A part of thee

Resides in me,

In all that I be

This is love,
