It's almost been ten minutes -- Since Rudra held Maya in his arms, as she kept sobbing. Caressing her hair and arms simultaneously, he kept on whispering sweet nothings in her ears after which she finally gave up on crying. Maya looked up at those brown orbs of his as she parted from him. She cleared her throat after rubbing off those tear stains on her face. 

"You never asked me about my past Rudra. About my Love-life or my ex-boyfriends, Right! And I was never planning to tell you also because my love-life was not less than a nightmare, which I never wanted to feel again by just confessing that to anyone-- even you. I really don't want that Rudra. But now, it's time for that -- for you to get to know my past." 

Maya's Past

Maya was a normal, Bubbly, Chirpy 22-year-old girl until Arjun entered her life. She was working as an Assistant in a boutique after her graduation in Fashion Designing, from a reputed college. 

Being an orphan is never easy for anyone, so is for Maya too. She was brought up in an orphanage until she completed her twelfth standard, and afterward, she moved out - as she was a major, as per the rules of the orphanage. It was really tough for her to adjust in a single room with 6 members, sharing everything--including meals and bed. 

She worked in a restaurant as a part-time worker and used to attend as a tutor for students of 1st to 9th class. After a year of her savings, she enrolled herself in a reputed college in the Vast Mumbai city-- which abandoned her years back in an orphanage. Maya never left her part-time job--which pays nicely for her to get a meal every day. 

She moved out of that single room when she graduated and found a hostel room for herself which was shared by a girl of her age. That's when her life has started to turn the colors of the drama. She never imagined that the person she loved would change the beautiful and colorful life of hers into grey. 

The girl - with whom Maya shares her room, was Harini. A nice girl by heart - at least that's what Maya thought until she saw her true colors. Harini is also an orphan just like her, but she has an elder brother. ARJUN! Maya and Harini had been amazing friends or maybe more than that. They became soul-sisters, within a year. 

Maya used to have a crush on Arjun and she also gets mixed reactions from Arjun whenever she tried to get close to him. Probably a year after, Arjun proposed her to be his girlfriend and Maya was nothing but on cloud-nine and on seventh-heaven, to be honest. She adored him all these days and her dream came true - of him in love with her.

5th August 2013    

It was a very normal day for Maya as she stepped out of the boutique in the evening at 5 o'clock. Sprinting towards the local bus, she dialed Arjun's Number but after the last ring, the line went dead. 

That was very strange of Arjun. He really never does that. He was always hands-on and relied on which made Maya think so far. Nevertheless, she again tried which again went dead which made her worry.  

Nearly 40 min, she reached her hostel and was surprised to see the room empty, which was never like Harini. She sighed in frustration thinking about the brother and sister duo. Freshening up, she dialed Harini's number which is switched off.

Huffing in irritation, Maya laid on her back on the bed and her eyes gave up after 15 minutes. She woke up to the dark surroundings, which made her realize it's 8 in the evening, but still there's is no clue of this brother and sister. 

Taking her phone, she was about to dial Arjun's number again but struck in her tracks when she saw the entity, entering her room. Sighing in relief, Maya threw herself in Arjun's arms, clutching him a little more than she does. 

"I'm worried sick because of you both. Where were you? Not attended my calls also?" Maya breathed out as she pulled herself back and glared at Arjun and Harini. 

They gave her an apologetic look and excused themselves saying their mobiles were dead. Maya shrugged of all her doubts as she believed them.

7th August 2013

Maya was frustrated because of Arjun and Harini. It's been two days since she saw them or talked to them. She was pissed off as she felt something is being hidden from her eyes as both of them acting so weird for a couple of days. As She messaged Arjun after her work at the boutique today, she got nothing but "The number you were calling is switched off".

Maya was about to step into the bus, but a rough pull on her arm made her skid off but caught by someone in their arms. Now, that's Arjun. 

"You scared me. Do you know that?" She exclaimed placing her hand on her heart. "Of course I know that Darling!" Arjun smirked flicking her nose. 

Spending some time with each other, Maya and Arjun left the restaurant they were at, and parted their ways. Something inside Maya said something's wrong with him which is why she followed him, more like stalked him. 

That way of hers led her to a construction building left in mid-way. She was confused at Arjun's antics but upon reaching some floor, she saw him beating the shit out of a person. She almost choked on her breath as her heart has been beating against her rib-cage rapidly. 

She slowly backed away to get away from that place but her fate has written something else in her way. She tripped her leg on some bricks and was about to fell down but Arjun caught her hands preventing a fall. Her eyes widened at the sight and a lump formed in her throat unknown to her, at the way Arjun is glaring. He made her stand properly and checked on her for any injuries. 

"Why are you following me?" He shook her arms and squeezed them tightly, making Maya yelp in pain. 

"Why do you care? Cause I've seen your true face now? Beating the crap out of an innocent?" She said through tears. 

"He's no saint Maya and you don't know anything, just go away from here!" Arjun pushed Maya making her stumble. 

"Of course I will move from here and will go to a police station to complain." Maya ran from there followed by Arjun screaming her name. 

Stepping into a taxi, Maya made a quick move and looked behind to witness this furious Arjun on his bike with Harini behind him, who will do anything to stop her.

And that's when his bike met with an accident with a car and Arjun was lying near the tree, blood everywhere near him and Harini was long gone, on the spot dead. 

Her foolishness had cost Two Lives, which she always regrets. Maya left the accident-prone place--as she doesn't want to see them burning in those woods. 

After Harini and Arjun's demise, Maya was handed some belongings of both of them, which she never glanced up. They remained untouched for years in her locker. It took her years to move on but at-last she did with the help of her Love. Her Rudra. Those nightmares stopped haunting her after she met him. 

PRESENT DAY

But she never ever had the slightest clue that her past will come and stand in front of her like today!

Maya glanced up at the three guys, standing there horrified. All of these happened but she didn't even share that with any of them. Neither Anurag nor Rudra. She, now blaming herself for all those things that happened that day. That day smashed their lives. 

Anurag came and hugged Maya caressing her hair until her sobs stop. Maya kept looking at Rudra, who just got even more confused by the latest confession of Maya.
