Ple... Please, I didn't.. I didn't do anything. Please.., Aah... Rudra woke up to the dreadful nightmare, panting while his forehead filled with sweat beads.

"Rudra are you okay?" Maya asked who woke up to the scream of Rudra.

Handing him a glass of water she patted his back while he gulped down the water in one go.

"What happened? Is everything okay?" She asked again patting his back while he just hugged her tight in reply.

Calming down a bit, he pulled back and saw her face which is filled with a lot of confusion.

"Nothing it's just a bad dream." She pulled him in her embrace after listening to his reply.

"It's okay!" Pulling back she kissed him on the forehead and made him lie down and hugged him lying on the bed.

" You're the reason for my nightmares and here you're the one who calms me down when those nightmares frighten me! And you're not to be blamed, Maya. I'm the one to be blamed, coz I just forgot for what I've come to you. I was head over heels in love with you. It's your love that made me forget my past, but the scars always remember the wounds." Rudra lied down, breathing heavily.

"No matter how hard I try, those are not gonna leave me. So the better thing to do is, I have to listen to it. To my Revenge. I just want you to learn a lesson for making us suffer like this. We innocents." Rudra turned his head towards Maya, who was the fast asleep cause of the tiredness, clutching his hand in hers.

"Anyways, I couldn't get the truth out of you in these three years. Why did you do it, Maya? What have I ever done to you? I was a happy guy back then. I was living with my happy family and also some dreams. But you shattered all of them in just a second." A small sigh escaped Rudra.

"From that day, I haven't had a peaceful sleep. It frightens. A 23-year-old guy, what has he ever done to you? Nothing. I couldn't guess it to date. And, I can't wait anymore. I have to know the truth and I will! Get ready to face the WRATH of RUDRA ROY, MAYA!" Pledging on his words, Rudra drowned into sleep.

Maya woke up with a jolt when she felt, she was drenching. But, she woke up to the sight of her best friend laughing at her holding the quarter filled water jug.

Huffing she walked towards him and made him pour the whole water in the jug on himself, holding his hand.

"You, devil." Anurag was about to get hold of her but Maya disappeared from there to the washroom.

"Tit for Tat, Anu," Maya yelled peeping her head through the bathroom door while Anurag ran towards her only to get hit by the door.

"You'll pay for it" Anurag yelled from outside leaving her chuckling. That's when something hit her mind; Rudra is not there.

Coming out of the washroom after a good amount of 15 min, she searched for her phone to ring up to Rudra. The line came busy for the nth time while

Maya threw her phone on the bed and moved outside only to witness her bestie is munching the icecream like a monster.

"Anu?" She called him out and settled beside him on the sofa comfortably.

"Hmmm. What's that?" He asked her while she replied

"Did you saw Rudra going out?" She furrowed her brows after seeing no reaction from him despite him again dug into the ice cream tub.

Snatching the tub from him, she raised her brows demanding an answer while he hmmed

"He said he has an important meeting to attend and left, and that's when I came to your room to see you are up or not but you are sleeping like a panda and thought to wake up. Happy, now give it to me!" He replied and snatched his ice cream while she sighed and moved to the kitchen to make something.

"He left without having food?" Maya thought and busied herself in preparing food while thinking about Rudra's behavior which she never witnessed.

It's 2 in the noon, while both friends were getting nostalgic reminiscing their memories.

"Accha Maya, now enough of this, just tell me how did you and Rudra met and also who proposed first? Tell me" Ordered Anurag while her big smile turned to a grumpy face.

She stood in her place but Anurag pulled her beside him. Insisting on the question, he made a face. Giving in to him, Maya started.

"I'm the one." Maya sighed.

"What? Maya Jai Singh proposed a guy? Are you for real?" Anurag widened his eyes while Maya smacked his arm laughing.

"You know what Anu? I feel like he completes me. I used to be so moody and grumpy before 3 years but after Rudra came into my life, he just changed everything. I never felt like an orphan or I am lonely after meeting him." Maya smiled at him.

"We had met on a beach. I went to a cafe one evening. And, then saw him there. A waiter spilled coffee on his shirt." Maya giggled. 

"And, despite yelling at him, in return he dealt that so calmly. Could you do that if you were in his place? No right." Maya didn't wait for Anurag to answer her question.

"Then, I left for the beach and saw him there playing with the sand. I just went near him and sat there while he, kind of shocked. We had talked for some time even before knowing each other's names and exchanged numbers. Thereafter, meeting each other and all, gradually falling in love, He's my love Anu. My life and I can't live without him." Maya's smile was long gone which formed a blank expression on her delicate features.

Saying so she glanced up at her friend who's looking at the horizon and thinking. Smacking his arm, Maya asked him what he was thinking while Anurag just nodded his head and shrugged his shoulders.

Calling up another time to Rudra, Maya prayed that he would pick up the call in which she succeeded.

"Maya I'm in between work and it's important! So, I'll call you later." Saying Rudra hung up on her not listen to her.

The line went dead on the other side while Maya kept thinking about his weird antics.

"What happened to Rudra? He was never like this?" Thinking, Maya slept on the couch.

"Even if I hear your voice, I'll lose it, Maya. And I don't like to lose. I have to know the truth and the only source for me is you. But, the love I have for you always ties my hands, making me having no other choice. Not anymore. I have to push this love aside from my way. Just wait and watch!" Rudra left the office in the evening while thinking about his Move which would make Maya weak.
