14. Rudra Roy

Dedicated to nitasarkar

WARNING:- NOT PROOFREAD

Arjun's Diary? Rudra whispered to himself as his gaze fell on the thing on his study table. The strong urge to read that pulling his feet towards the table, but that's the diary of the dead lover of his now girlfriend is fucking his brain. Sighing in irritation, he seated himself on the chair in front of the table. What's there for me in this book? I mean, Diary. Scratching his beard, Rudra whispered to himself while caressing the Diary.

Personnel... Don't Read It...

Rudra scoffed as he read the lines scribbles on the first page.

Does this book had their romance or what? Should I read further despite the warning?

Rudra thought but shrugged it off and flipped the page to come across the same photo he has seen in Harini's Diary, pasted on the page.

Do they think they are the only lovers in the world or what? Rudra thought as his nostrils flaring in anger and also a secret, burning in Jealousy!

As he flipped the pages, he came across nothing but the same routine dialogues from any person who started to write a Diary, that is, I've never thought I will write a Diary Someday, blah blah blah.

Shooking his head, Rudra flipped the pages and read those things, Arjun never said to someone. That, how much he loves his Sister and how their life was till then and all.

Arjun was 24? He was too young to be gone away like that!

Rudra felt uneasy at the thought of him being indirectly involved in someone's death. Some Innocent guy, who did nothing but trying to put his sister free from the guy who molested her. Shrugging off all the thoughts, he flipped over the page entitled MAYA in bold letters.

MAYA

I've met this girl, Maya, Harini's friend, and believe it or not, she's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen in my life. I and Harini went to a girl's hostel, to join her there so that it can be easy for her to college. And there, she is - Maya, Harini's roommate.

You know what, she's the kind of book I want to read but dare not to as nobody knows what's in store when you flip the page! Words really fell short right now and I don't know what to write describing her. I mean, the urge to be near her pulling me towards her more and more. I've spent this whole day with her as Harini knows her from before. I don't know how? And I didn't ask her also. Let it be. I have a way to meet her daily, through Harini. How nice...

Love at first sight, I see! Rudra muttered under his breath as he closed the diary. Not because it's the end, but because he can't read further as the other guy describing the girl he loves. Slamming his hand on his head he let out a sigh and looked at that Diary.

Why am I even reading this thing? I shouldn't read someone's personnel diary like this. This is not my cup of tea, damn it. Rudra yelled slamming the diary on the table and stood in tracks abruptly.

Rudra sprang out of his chair and disappeared into the open kitchen, to get some hot brewing coffee for himself, as his head is paining from all the things happening.

"Got something interesting?" Aayush asked Rudra, coming from his room, who's busy drinking his coffee.

"I'm not gonna read that, it's not my job; Reading Somebody's Personal Diary's" Rudra replied with a stern face which made Aayush roll his eyes at him.

"I gave that book to you so that you can get close to Maya again, by using some of Arjun's techniques!" Aayush said slapping Rudra's arm. While Rudra scoffed at Aayush's advice.

"What? You seriously didn't read that?" Aayush asked again in disbelief which irked Rudra.

"Aayush please, yaar! Don't bring that Arjun's topic now. Am literally feeling uncomfortable at his thought. I don't know why, probably because he has more priority than I have, in Maya's list. Or perhaps, I was indirectly involved in his death!" Rudra whispered the last line more to himself which made creases line upon Aayush's forehead.

Aayush stood in his place and seated beside Rudra. Patting his arm, he looked at him, his gaze fixed on his face while Rudra's gazing at the wall, in front of him.

"Rudra, just forget the past man! It's not the time to get stuck in the past and convincing yourself that you're involved in Arjun's death. Or, thinking that you could have done something better than playing this drama or whatever." Aayush turned Rudra to face him with his hand on Rudra's cheek.

"You and Maya need each other now, no matter how much you deny it, Rudy! And you know it also. Despite that you denying would prove nothing but your foolishness! So, get back to the present now!" Sighing, Rudra nodded his head at his best friend's words, which were actually true.

"So, plan how to get her back to you, now! Understand?" Aayush asked Rudra as he's a five-year-old kid.

"Yeah!" Rudra broke into a huge grin at the newfound love guru's words. That minute, he felt alien to the person in front of him. The person, who's been there all the time when needed someone, and now, the person in front of him, explaining how not to break relations, maturely, is entirely different. Now, this guy is no more a furious teenager but a mature man. A small chuckle escaped Rudra at his own thoughts resulting in Ayush's Confused face.

"I love you, Bablu..." Pulling both cheeks, Rudra hugged his best friend, confusing him all the time.

"This I Love You has to be stored for someone else, I guess!" Aayush tried to pull his legs and actually succeeded as Rudra blushed at his words.

"Oh my God, Rudra Roy is blushing, I see? How lucky I am to get to see this day!" Aayush screamed while pulling Rudra's cheeks who swatted his arms.

"Maintain distance, okay?" Rudra ordered while Aayush nodded his head folding his hands across his chest.

Soon enough, both of them broke into laughter and ended up with tears in their eyes.

Will a day arrives, that we witness the tears in their eyes, because of pain instead of laughter?

Hey guys! Sorry for the late update. Been busy with things and all. Hope you like it!

Much Love❤️
