Rudra, Ayush, and Anurag stood in front of Maya's flat and were scared to ring the bell. Three of them are pushing each other forward to press the bell, but nobody even touched it, forget ringing it. Anurag forgot the Keys at Ayush's place and was now sulking upon each other. 

"Arrey, shit yaar! I'll ring it!" Ayush said eventually and both of them kept silent looking at his angry bird face. Pressing the bell, they waited for it to open and don't know how many minutes passed like that, by them standing there, scared. 

Wiping off the thin layer of sweat on his forehead, Anurag again thought to ring the bell, but before he touches it, the main door was opened by Maya, looking like a fresh morning flower clad in a white dress. 

She was shocked for a second to see the three of them at her doorstep but composed as Anurag cleared his throat gaining her attention. Ushering them inside, she bolted the door and left to the kitchen to fetch a water bottle.

She came back and seated in front of them in a chair and placed the water bottle on the coffee table. Rudra was the first one to take it and gulp down half of it. 

"You bought those things back?" Maya asked looking straight at Anurag making everyone shocked. 

"Anurag?" She looked at him menacingly while Ayush shook him, bringing him back to the earth. 

"Huh? Yeah. Niche car mein pade hai!"  He wiped off the sweat with the Handkerchief he had in his jeans pocket. 

"You have something to say?" Maya asked, seeing three of them, no one in particular while Anurag slipped his tongue. 

"Rudra has something to say!" He bit his tongue and looked at Rudra who's already glaring at him. Ayush left the place as his phone buzzed at the right time. 

Maya looked at Anurag as a teardrop trickled down her cheek. Wiping it off with the back of her hand, Maya looked at Rudra, expecting him to say something. Rudra looked at Anurag and gestured him to the door, prompting him to leave them alone. 

"Maya, I'll bring those things!" Informing her, who didn't pay an ear, Anurag left the home, leaving them alone. 

Rudra stood in his place and came to Maya. Kneeling in front of her, he dared to take her hands in his. His sweaty hands trembled in fear as he was expecting something from her. But got nothing in return except the same blank face. Sighing, Rudra started to talk his mind out. 

"Maya, I am sorry, for everything that happened. I know, I was a big Dumbass from the beginning but never expected that it'll turn out to be this. I know this all mess, I know I can't clear or rewrite any of the things that happened in the past. Yes, I wanted to get revenge but all I got from is love, na! And I did love you, Maya. And I really do, now also. It's just that things got worse in confusion and all these years, I thought it was you, that all of this happened. There are many other ways, I agree, but I was so blinded by this thing called revenge that I felt this LOVE would be the better one to destroy somebody. Cause Love can make things right and break things mercilessly. Which is why I chose to ho in this way!" Rudra sighed as he sat in the same place. 

"In love, there's scope for only two things, you know Maya? One, you destroy other people for your loved ones or destroy yourselves for your loved ones. And, I chose to break you for my Revenge's sake which is so close to my heart, Maya. And I'm sorry that I never really know you. I never did try to realize in all these years that it's not you despite being with you and being in love with you. I loved you unknown to myself and I'm not regretting it!" He sniffled his tears. 

"Maya I can't bring those dead people back but just regret. Will you please forgive me?" He raised his head and his eyes met with hers which were pooled with tears. Sitting on his knees, he cupped her cheeks while Maya sobbed as tears flowed like a never-ending ocean. They cried their heart out, sitting in the same position. 

Rudra wiped her tears as she looked at him. "It's never easy for me, Rudra! Bearing all the pain, it's not easy! And now I knew why Arjun did that, and I regret whatever I did that day! I am sorry, but I can't be with you anymore, perhaps. It kills me inside that they died because of me. I just can't help but regret my whole life and Harini..." Maya's voice choked a bit. Rudra handed her a glass of water but Maya denied taking it. 

"Harini loved you and me being with you never lets her at peace. Please..." Trailing off, she started to hick-up while Rudra made her drink some water. 

"Leave me, please!" She whispered not meeting his eyes, while Rudra nodded his head left to right, wiping his tears. 

"I'll leave, for now, Maya, but will never let you go! I need you, Maya, and I will make it up to you! I promise!" 

Rudra said sternly before stepping out of the house. As he came outside, he came across his best friend and her best friend whispering something, eating each other's ears. Seeing him, they rushed towards him and showered him questions. 

"What happened? Nothing happened. She asked me to leave and I left the house but will not leave her." Saying, Rudra strode towards the lift followed by Ayush behind him. 

"Rudra?" Rudra didn't respond which means he was thinking something really serious. Ayush chose to not disturb him and drove them towards his apartment.

"Maya?" Anurag called her who kept rooted in the seat. Shooking her, he wiggled his brows at her while Maya wiped her tear-stained face with the cloth in her hands. 

"You asked Rudra to leave? Maya, he did that cause he doesn't know the truth. But now he regrets it. And wh..." Maya cuts him in between. 

"Anu please! I'm tired!" Maya disappeared into her room while Anurag sighed at her.

As Ayush and Rudra entered their flat, Rudra immediately disappeared into his room followed by Ayush with a Diary in his hand. Rudra fell flat on his stomach while Ayush sat on the bed, placing the diary on the study table. 

"There's a diary on the table which is of Arjun's!" Rudra snapped his head at Ayush while Ayush signed him at the table. "It may be of some use! Read it!" Saying Ayush dispersed to his room while Rudra just kept staring at the Book.
