On the plane Team RAGE seemed to all be on edge.

Erica: Ok, I'll be the one to say it. No way in hell.

Azure: You heard what Dashan said. A Dragon. There are only three other people that are known to use Dragon Beys in this world. And two of them are on Shadow Strike.

Ryu: Of course I heard him. I just don't believe it. And I know that Kyoya would never let himself be a part of a team with him.

Karma: Should we check it out then?

She held up a laptop. They all looked at each other hesitantly before nodding.

Karma: Ok, here goes.

She typed in the name Wild Fang before all the members were revealed. The first being Kyoya, and the second-

Ryu: ...Damn.

FLASHBACK

For the first time in damn near ages I'm gonna go into a flashback where Ryu ISN'T physically involved!

A young man was hearing a hood dragging a metal coffin through the blazing desert. He stopped when he heard an explosion up ahead. This blew off his hood revealing that it was Kyoya.

Kyoya: What the heck was that?!

He ran forward dragging the coffin faster and saw that a man that was also in a hood was in the center of many bladers as their Beys had all been stopped while his was still going and fast. He caught it before continuing to walk.

Kyoya: HEY YOU!!

He stopped turning and looking at Kyoya.

???: You?

Kyoya: Were you the one to take down all of these bladers?

???: And what if I was? They were all weaklings that couldn't rely on their own power.

Kyoya: Interesting. Alright then how about you battle me?!

Kyoya attached Leon to his launcher ready for a battle.

???: Hmph, so losing the first time wasn't enough for you eh?

Kyoya: What are you on about?

???: Fine I'll humor you.

He attached his Bey to his white launcher.

Kyoya/???: 3! 2! 1! LET IT RIP!!

They launched their Beys at each other with a shockwave occurring.

Kyoya: Man, this is something else!!

Their Beys pulled apart with Leon circling to the right but the other Bey circling to the left.

Kyoya: NO WAY, REVERSE ROTATION?!!

The Beys clashed with another shockwave.

Kyoya: There's only one other person in this world I know that has a reverse rotation Bey other than Ryu! LION GALE FORCE WALL!!!

Leon created a tornado that stopped the Bey blasting it back while also throwing the hood off of the Blader.

???: You were actually able to push me back this time. It looks like you've improved as well, Kyoya.

He rose his head as an all too familiar face was revealed to Kyoya.

Kyoya: It is you!! RYUGA!!!

Ryuga: Go now, METEO L-DRAGO!!!

The Bey shone L-Drago's dragon spirit had burst into the air but this time it had changed and become a flaming orange.

Kyoya: Great another Dark Power Bey evolution! As if Ryu and Azure aren't big enough pains in my butt already!

Ryuga: So you've seen them as well.

Kyoya: I haven't forgotten what you did to me at Battle Bladers!! L-Drago might've been the cause of that madness but I'm getting a little payback!!

The Beys clashed fiercely as neither of them gave an inch.

Ryuga: As much as beating you would satisfy me, I have places to be.

He called back L-Drago.

Kyoya: What was that?!

Ryuga: You aren't the only person who's got a bone to pic with Ryu. I've already lost to him twice now.

Kyoya: Are you headed to Rock City?

Ryuga: What about it?

Kyoya: So you're entering the world championships here too?!

Ryuga: You're joking.

They looked over the cliff seeing a city.

Kyoya: That means I have to be teamed up with you?!

Ryuga: IF you make it.

Kyoya: Who the hell do you think you're talking to?!

They both went into the city with Kyoya still a bit salty.

Ryuga: Don't get in my way unless we have to battle.

Kyoya: Right back at you.

They both entered the stadium where all the bladers were located. Ryuga seemed to scan the area for any worth while Bladers and seemed to find only one other. A bow with orange and brown hair. He payed absolutely zero attention to the unimportant parts of what the president had said looking at the green card in his hands.

Ryuga: I'm in a different block from Kyoya and that other one. They'll win, everyone else it's fair game.

???: Ryuga, you never know what could happen.

L-Drago was glowing inside of the Dragon Holster Ryuga had and spoke to him.

Ryuga: 'Since when were you talkative?'

L-Drago: 'Ever since I stopped craving the power of other Bladers to satisfy my hunger. You know that.'

Ryuga grunted before going to the stadium with the other Bladers with his card. He attached L-Drago to his launcher along with every other Blader.

All: 3!! 2!! 1!! LET IT RIP!!!

They all launched their Beys in with everyone terrified to see L-Drago spinning counterclockwise.

Blader: NO WAY!! THAT'S REVERSE ROTATION!!

Blader: HE'S ONE OF THE GUYS FROM THE SEMI FINALS AT BATTLE BLADERS!!!

Ryuga: GO L-DRAGO!!!

Ryuga began crashing through Beys in front of him knocking each out by the second.

Ryuga: NOW!! DRAGON EMPEROR, SUPREME FLIGHT!!!

L-Drago had roared as the stadium shook from the blast it created with each Bey flying out. He caught L-Drago walking up to to receive his qualifying bracelet.

Ryuga: Hmph.

And just as he expected seconds later Kyoya had unleashed a King Lion Tearing Blast. He walked up to the table getting his bracelet.

Kyoya: I'll take that.

President: Of course you will! You have earned it!

???: Go Vulcan Horuseus!!

A Bey with a black fusion wheel was knocking other Beys away left and right.

Ryuga: Just like I thought.

Kyoya: Not bad at all.

The battle had finished as Horuseus was the only Bey remaining.

Man: Blue Group battle is over! The winner is Nile!!

He called back Horuseus smirking.

Kyoya: His name's Nile huh?

Ryuga: The only other worth while Blader here. The rest aren't anything special.

Nile looked up at them. Only the yellow group had remained as an uninteresting Blader to all of them won.

President: Yellow Group battle is over!! The winner is Marcus!!

Nile and Marcus as well received their bracelets.

President: Congratulations!! Here we have the four heroes that have survived the Battle Royal and we all solute you!

Marcus: Now I can go to the world championships!

Ryuga: Hmph, you won't last long.

Marcus: What was that?!

Ryuga: I saw the dirty trick you used against that other guy next to you. You're all weak but you're just scum.

President: Well then my friends we will begin the finale selection process!!

Kyoya: You'll what?!

Nile: What are you talking about?!

Ryuga: The finale selection process you say?

Marcus: You mean our places as representatives haven't been decided yet?!!

President: You four are certainly strong Bladers, those bracelets are proof of your skills and talents! However sometimes in a Battle Royal there are those who win by pure luck, not just skill and talent!

Ryuga: I'm pretty sure I crushed every Blader myself there!

President: We will test you further to see if you truly posses the power fitting of a Savana rep, we must be sure now mustn't we?

Timers had activated on their bracelets confusing the four.

All: Hey!!

Marcus: What's with this?!

President: The rules are simple: You must face all of the Bladers here in a 24 hour battle! And protect that bracelet till the very end is that clear?!

Ryuga: Tch, so we just have to battle this lot again?

President: And so the remaining Bladers may challenge these four and take the winners bracelets that they are currently wearing! After 24 hours, the ones holding the bracelets will become the true reps! These are the rules, so good luck to you all!

Everyone cheated hearing that.

Kyoya: I see, so that's how it is.

Nile: Well this way any weaklings that get lucky won't hold on to their victory.

Ryuga: Hmph, all I know is that I won't be losing this any time soon. As for you big guy-

Marcus: NO WAY!!

President: The battle stage is-

The gates had opened with everyone looking back.

President: ALL OF ROCK CITY AND THE THREE KILOMETERS SURROUNDING IT!! DO YOUR BEST TO PROTECT THE PRECIOUS BRACELET!!

Marcus: You gotta be kidding me!! I worked so hard-

Ryuga: Little.

Marcus: To become a representative!! I won't hand it over so easily, I can tell ya that much!! AHHHHH GET OUTTA MY WAY YOU GUYS!!

He started running towards the entrance.

Nile: There's no other way.

Kyoya: We just have to do it.

President: Let the final selection process begin!!

The timers began to go as the Bladers had rushed towards the three.

TIME SKIP!!

And explosion had occurred as Meteo L-Drago was sending Beys crashing into walls along with Rock Leon and Vulcan Horuseus.

Ryuga: Ha, at least try and make it fun. This is Meteo L-Drago's first day of battling in a really long time so I plan to enjoy myself!

Kyoya: You're pretty good Nile.

Nile: So are you, Kyoya, Ryuga.

Ryuga saw more coming.

Ryuga: They keep popping up like roaches.

Nile: They're just gonna keep coming. I'm leaving.

Kyoya: You're running away?

Nile: There are still 20 hours left to kill. My policy is to avoid meaningless battles.

Kyoya: Hm, maybe I overestimated you Nile.

Nile: What did you say? If you wanna fight, go ahead and fight! However, isn't your goal to protect that bracelet and become a representative of this country and go out into the world?! Isn't that important.

Kyoya: That's why I will fight. I have opponents who I must and will defeat in the World Championships.

Ryuga: There are two Bladers out there that surpass me in every way right now. I have finally gained new strength in order for me to climb to their levels. I must not run in order to face them with my head held high and my pride in tact.

They both readied their Bey's.

Nile: I understand. You are right. I'll fight with you!

Ryuga/Kyoya/Nile: LET IT RIP!!!

They launched their Beys into the battle.

Kyoya: What gives? I thought you avoiding meaningless battles.

Nile: Give it a rest. I do what I feel like.

Ryuga: That's what I do.

Another Blader launched their Bey in a sneak attack against Horuseus but ran away seeing as it failed with Nile in pursuit. They were in an open alley before others Bladers joined in hanging up on him.

Nile: Oh no!

Random: Ha! You're going down Ni-

Ryuga: There are cowards everywhere I look.

Kyoya and Ryuga jumped on to crates scaring the other Bladers.

Random 2: But how did you already defeat those other Bladers?!

Kyoya: You don't know me very well do you?

Ryuga: Compared to someone like Ryu you kids are like newborn kittens!! Now Nile, show them what a real attack looks like!

Nile: Horuseus!!

Horuseus glowed in a yellow light as an explosion occurred defeating the rest of the Bladers. They called back their Beys.

Kyoya: Now that was fun wasn't it?

Nile: Thanks a lot guys, but when did you help me?

Kyoya: I wasn't planning on helping you. I just did what I felt like.

Ryuga: You and Kyoya are the only other Bladers that could stand a chance in the Championships.

TIME SKIP!!

Ryuga Kyoya and Nile were walking through the City.

Nile: Ryuga, I've been meaning to ask. Who's that Ryu guy you talked about? Is he one of the guys you talked about?

Ryuga: Yes.

Kyoya: He's a seriously wicked powerful Blader. He's beaten both of us before. Me three times. He's got the other reverse rotation Dragon Buster Dracian.

Nile: Then you mean Ryu Kaizen.

Kyoya: Nile, you've got the right stuff buddy.

???: Hey, you guys.

He turned around holding their launchers. They soon saw Marcus in a sewer hole.

Ryuga: Oh, it's just the weak one.

Marcus: Hahaha, come down here guys.

Ryuga: I wouldn't...

L-Drago: What's the worse that could happen?

Ryuga slightly growled before going along. They made their way to an underground shelter.

Kyoya: An underground shelter?

Marcus: Yeah, there are several large shelters scoured around Rock City. It's a good thing I looked that up before coming here.

Ryuga: So you've been hiding here like some sort of coward.

Marcus: What's the point in fighting all of those goofballs?

Kyoya: It is pretty cowardly. So Marcus, why did you enter this selection tournament anyway?

Marcus: In my country there's a super strong talented team of Bladers, there's no way I'd be able to beat them in a fair fight. But in this counties tournament I stand a good chance of winning for sure!

Ryuga: Alright that's it, I'm leaving. There's only so much worthlessness I can stand in a day.

Kyoya: Marcus, you totally fail the test.

Ryuga: He couldn't even START it.

They heard banging at the door before Marcus ran to hold it.

Marcus: It's the others!! There are too many of them! If they get in here, we're doomed!!

Ryuga: Get out of my way! I'll blast them all away!

Marcus: ARE YOU NUTS?! The place will come crashing over our heads!! Grab those, bring them over here right now!!

Ryuga: Grrrr, of all the stupid things.

Nile: Guess there's no choice!

They ran over to the crates before stepping on a blue tarp beginning to fall.

Kyoya: WOAH WHAT?!!

They grabbed on before Marcus himself stopped it.

Marcus: Whoops, looks like I forgot to mention that there's a hole in the ground here.

Ryuga: Oh you son of a-

Marcus: You shouldn't have let your guard down.

Three other Bladers walked from behind Marcus.

Ryuga: When I find you after this I promise I'll tear your limbs off!

They look their bracelets before Marcus let the tarp go as they fell.

All: AHHHH!!!!

They landed in the water as Ryuga seethed in anger.

Ryuga: How bad could it be huh L-Drago?!!!

L-Drago: Ok, that was on me.

Nile: Uh, what are you on about Ryuga?

Ryuga: ... Damnit I said that out loud.

Kyoya: Don't tell me L-Drago talks to you like Dracian does with Ryu.

Ryuga: ... You never heard this.

TIME SKIP!!

Marcus and his three goons were running up a mountain panting.

Goon1: Just 7 more hours to go.

Goon2: If we can make it up here then we'll be safe!

Goon3: Yeah and no one would think to look up here.

Marcus: Haha! Yeah we'll have nothing to worry about!

Ryuga: EXCEPT US!!!

They looked up seeing Ryuga Kyoya and Nile on a ledge.

Marcus: How did you find us?!

Kyoya: He told us where you were.

An african male had walked up beside them.

Marcus: B-But how?!!

???: I was born and raised in the grasslands, so my eyesight is much sharper than normal.

Ryuga: And it seems he's actually more useful than you. How get ready for a battle! Those bracelets belong to us!!

They all launched their Beys as the boy looked closely.

???: Watch out, they're all planning to gang up on L-Drago!!

Nile: Really?

Kyoya: You can see all that from here?

Ryuga: Well then let them! They're heading in to their dooms!!

They all attacked L-Drago but instead of decreasing it's spin it only caused him to go faster and them to go slower.

Kyoya: Ryuga, do you still have the Dark Power?!

Ryuga: Ha!! That's worthless to me now Kyoya!! This is the power of L-Drago itself!!

???: Ah, with the rubber parts it absorbs the spin strength of the opponent and makes it their own spin strength!

Nile: All that with just the power of a Bey huh?

L-Drago blasted them away as the three of them prepared to finish them off.

Kyoya: Special Move!! King Lion Tearing Blast!!!

Nile: Special Move: Mystic Zoan!!!

Ryuga: Dragon Emperor: Supreme Flight!!!

They caused a gigantic explosion defeating the Beys. After a moment they retrieved the four bracelets leaving them in the crater.

Nile: Do yo think we went a little overboard?

Ryuga: No.

???: Ahahaha!

Kyoya: You, what's you're name?

???: Me? My name is Demure.

Ryuga tossed him the spare bracelet.

Ryuga: Protect this. You'll be with us for now.

Bladers ran towards them as they all prepared to Battle.

Kyoya: WE'RE GONNA TAKE ON THE WORLD!!

Nile: BOOM BABY!!

Demure: OK!

Ryuga: RYU, AZURE, WATCH OUT!!!
