Your POV

You open the door to the dojo quickly and run inside towards the rooms where some of the bladers at the dojo live. After quietly knocking on the door, you open it and then tiptoe over to the bed inside, smirking. You slightly shake the boy's shoulder and he doesn't wake up. Smirking once more, you place your mouth close to his ear and then yell,

"UKYO!!" The blue-haired boy jumps and falls off the other side of his bed. You laugh as the boy groans from the floor. As he stands up, you notice his messed-up hair and giggle at him. He frowns at you and asks,

"Y/n, what the heck?" Ukyo calms down and then walks over to his closet, grabbing a clean T-shirt. He places the shirt on his bed and then turns back to you, opening his mouth to say something. Before he can, though, the door opens and a shirtless Yugo walks into Ukyo's room.

"Hey, man, do you have my-" Yugo locks eyes with you and stops talking immediately. Your eyes travel down to Yugo's chest and then down to his abs. Yugo's face turns bright red and he grabs the shirt from Ukyo's bed, pulling on the shirt quickly. You look back up and meet Yugo's eyes, your face turning red as well. Yugo looks at you and then to Ukyo, your best friend, who's still dressed in his pajamas. He then looks back to you.

"H-Hey Yugo," you say awkwardly. He turns to you and asks,

"How long have you been here?" You look at him and reply,

"I just got here about ten minutes ago to wake up Ukyo." Yugo looks over at Ukyo, who nods. Yugo sighs with relief and turns around to leave the room.

"I'll see you two later," Yugo tells the two of you before he leaves the room. You look over at your best friend and say,

"That was...something. Wow." Ukyo smirks and replies,

"If you are referring to my teammate not wearing a shirt when he came in here, then your crush on him is worse than I thought." You lean across the bed and hit Ukyo on the shoulder playfully.

"Oh, shut up. It's just a silly one-sided crush so it doesn't matter anyway," you tell him. He smiles but doesn't say anything. You walk over to the doorway and then say, "Hurry up and get dressed. Xander will be furious if you miss the morning run." Ukyo nods at you as you leave his room. You close the door behind you and then walk out into the main part of the dojo. Suddenly, you trip and begin to fall but then feel someone catch you.

"Watch where you're going, Y/n. You're gonna hurt yourself," you hear someone say. You know that voice. You open your eyes and see Yugo as he stands you back up.

"Thanks," you tell him. He smiles at you and says,

"Where's Ukyo?" You look towards Ukyo's room and then reply,

"He's getting ready for our morning run." Yugo follows your gaze towards Ukyo's room and then asks,

"You really care about him don't you?" You turn to Yugo and say,

"Of course I do. He and I have been best friends since we were four years old. He means so much to me." Yugo smiles sadly, misinterpreting your friendship for something more.

"He's lucky to have you," Yugo tells you. You smile warmly and reply,

"Yep, I think he'd be lost without me." Yugo looks over at you and then awkwardly says,

"I've, um, gotta go." He walks away from you and then leaves the dojo. He frowns, thinking about you and Ukyo being a couple.

Inside, you frown at Yugo's sudden leave. You look down, thinking that he just wanted to get away from you. After all, it seems as if he doesn't like you back. You wonder what it was that you said to make him leave. As you stare at the door that Yugo left from, Ukyo enters the room and you turn towards him.

"Hey, Y/n. Something wrong?" Ukyo asks. You shake your head and stand up, faking a smile.

"No, everything's fine," you say to him. Ukyo looks at you, not buying it, but he replies,

"Okay. Just know that you can come to me anytime something is wrong." You smile at Ukyo and then say,

"Thanks, Ukyo. Really though, I'm alright." He smiles back at you.

"Then come on," he tells you, "Xander's gonna be so mad if we're late for the run." You nod and get up quickly.

"I'll race you outside," you tell Ukyo, smirking. He stands up and says,

"You're on." The two of you take off running towards the door.

-Time Skip-

You and Ukyo make it back to the dojo after the run, Yugo following closely behind.

"I've gotta go inside and get some water. I'll be back," you say to Ukyo before walking off into the dojo.

Meanwhile...

Yugo walks over to Ukyo and asks,

"Hey, where'd Y/n run off to?"

"They went to get some water," Ukyo replies, "Why are you so worried about them?" Ukyo smirks and Yugo says,

"N-No reason. I was just wondering."

"They're really something, huh?" Ukyo asks. Yugo smiles sadly and replies,

"They really are. You're lucky to be dating someone like them." Ukyo laughs and then asks,

"What?" He laughs again before Yugo questions,

"You two aren't dating?" Ukyo laughs again.

"Of course not. They're just my best friend. Nothing more," he replies. Yugo smiles at Ukyo's words.

"Smiling a lot, aren't you Yugo?" Ukyo asks, "Man, Y/n would never believe me if I told them that their single-sided crush is actually a mutual one."

"What do you mean their crush? Y/n has a crush on me?" Yugo questions, smiling. Ukyo smirks, nodding at Yugo's words. Yugo turns towards the dojo quickly, saying goodbye to Ukyo before running into the dojo to find you.

You grab a water bottle and take a large drink of it. After that, the door opens quickly and you turn towards it. Yugo runs inside of the dojo and over to you. Before you can say anything, Yugo kisses you on the lips. You kiss back immediately. The two of you then break apart and Yugo says,

"Y/n, I love you." You smile at Yugo and reply,

"I love you too, Yugo. I have for a long time." Yugo smiles at you before the two of you share another kiss.

---Bonus---

"You thought that Ukyo and I were dating? Gross!" You laugh so hard that you fall out of your chair and onto the ground. Beside you, Ukyo is laughing super hard also. After the two of you stop laughing, you look over at Yugo. He crosses his arms and says,

"In my defense, you two are together like 24/7. How was I supposed to know that you weren't dating?" You reply,

"Aww, sweetheart, it's okay that you're totally oblivious. You can't help it." You and Ukyo both start laughing again as Yugo sighs.

Yugo signed up for a lot more than he can handle. Poor thing.
