Your POV

You walk into the training room at Rideout, making your way to the stadium. After you get out your Beyblade, you notice a certain blue-haired blader standing in the doorway with his arms crossed. 

"Lui! Wanna battle with me?" You ask eagerly. Lui scoffs and takes his place at the other side of the stadium.

"It's not like I have anything better to do," Lui states coldly. You roll your eyes and smile before getting ready for the battle. 

"Let's do this!" You exclaim. The battle begins and your bey is circling around the stadium. Luinor is doing the same but spinning counterclockwise. 

"Enjoy the battle while it lasts. It'll be over in no time," Lui says to you. You smirk and place your arm out in front of you before replying,

"Don't underestimate us. Go b/n!" Your bey speeds toward Luinor and strikes it quickly. Luinor gets hit out of the stadium and it hits the ground right next to Lui's feet. Lui looks at you in awe. He knows how strong you are, but he didn't expect that. 

"Well done in that battle, Y/n. But the next one will end it," Lui tells you. You smirk before glancing at the clock and gasping.

"Sorry, Lui. Guess we'll have to finish this battle another time. I've got other plans at the park," you say to him. Lui scoffs again. 

"Seriously?" he asks angrily. You walk over to him and tap him on the head before simply saying,

"Sorry." After you leave the room, Lui places his hand on his head where you touched him. He notices that he has a weird feeling in his chest when he thinks about you. Shaking his head, he walks out of the room as well. 

You run through the park, looking for the others. You find them at the usual bey stadium and then run over to them happily. 

"Shu! Wakiya! Daigo!" You yell. The three of them turn around and smile at you. 

"Hey, Y/n," Daigo says. You look around before replying,

"Hey, Daigo. Where are Honcho and Valt?" Shu chuckles and says,

"You know them. They got hungry and left for Beybread." You laugh.

"That sounds like them," you tell Shu. 

"You're running late as usual," Wakiya says to you. You cross your arms and reply, 

"I was having a battle with Lui. And I left before it was over to get here." Wakiya crosses his arms but smiles at you. 

"Speaking of battles," Daigo says, "Wanna take me on, Y/n?" You take out your bey and reply,

"Of course. You're going down, Daigo." 

While the two of you are battling, your team captain walks by the park. He hears the voice of a certain h/c blader and looks over to see you with Daigo, Wakiya, and Shu. He sees Shu walk over to you and ruffle your hair. Lui clenches his hand into a fist as he glares at Shu. 'Are they choosing to hang out with Shu Kurenai instead of me?' Lui thinks angrily. He sees you smile brightly at Shu and his anger flares up again. He frowns and walks off. 'Why am I so worried about them anyway?' he thinks. But he still can't fight the feeling that he has in his chest. 

-Time Skip-

The next day at team training, you run up to Lui. 

"So, wanna finish our battle from yesterday?" You ask him. He crosses his arms and replies,

"Why don't you just go and train with the Beigoma Academy Team instead?" Confused, you ask,

"How did you know that's where I went?" Lui coughs awkwardly and says,

"I just happened to be walking past the park to get home and I saw you guys battling." You reply,

"I was training with them because they're my friends. Maybe I would train more with you if you were more friendly to me." You cross your arms. Lui frowns, knowing that he may have pushed you too far. 

"Whatever," he says, walking out of the door. You watch him walk out and think, 'what's wrong with him?' You frown and leave the training room. 

"If he wants me to go and train with them, then I will," you say to yourself. However, your team captain happened to hear you say that. He scoffs and watches you walk away. He frowns, knowing that you're now going to go and hang out with Shu and the others again, which is the opposite of what he wanted. 

-Time Skip Again-

"I just don't get what his problem is. Why does he have to act so cold towards me? What did I do to him?" You rant to Daigo. 

"Hmm, why are you so worked up about this?" Daigo asks with a smirk. You blush slightly as you reply,

"I just think that he should be nicer to me. After all, I'm nice to him all the time. He doesn't get how I feel about him I guess." You cover your mouth after the last part, not meaning to say that. Daigo chuckles and says,

"Ah, I see what this is really about. You like Lui but he doesn't seem to feel the same about you." Your face turns red again and you tell him,

"Yeah, I guess so. Why did he get so upset that I was hanging out with you guys?" Daigo smirks.

"I think I might know why. Could it be that Lui is jealous?" He asks. You frown,

"Surely not. I bet that he just doesn't like me back. I don't even think that he likes me at all." Tears run down your face and Daigo consoles you. After a little bit, you stop crying and wipe the tears off of your face.

Your team captain is watching you through a crack in the doors that lead to the roof. He sees that you are crying and he feels upset to see you like this. Daigo looks over and sees Lui standing behind the doors. He makes sure that you're okay before he walks over and opens the door. He closes the door behind him before turning to Lui and asking,

"What are you doing here?" Lui scoffs and then changes the subject,

"Is Y/n okay?" Daigo notices the concerned look in Lui's eyes and he smiles. 

"They're crying because they don't think that their captain returns their feelings for him. They actually don't think that he likes them at all," Daigo tells him. Lui turns to Daigo and asks,

"They said that?" Daigo nods and looks over at Lui. 

"And judging by your concern for them, I'd say that they're wrong," Daigo tells him. Lui glares at Daigo and says,

"Shut up. What do you know?" Daigo smiles before walking over to the doors again. 

"I'll be right back with Y/n. Then you can tell them about your feelings," Daigo says, walking out the door. He wraps an arm around you and then walks you out of the doors. After you walk through the doors, Daigo lets go of you and walks back out onto the rooftop. You look over at Lui, a few tears still running down your face. 

"W-What are you doing here?" You ask, going to wipe your tears away. Before you can do so, you feel Lui's thumb run across your cheek and wipe off your tears. 

"I didn't mean to make you cry, you know," Lui says to you. You reply quickly,

"Then why were you so angry with me earlier?" He blushes slightly and says,

"I was jealous." He mumbles the last word, embarrassed to say it. You look over at him and ask,

"Really?" He nods and then takes a step towards you and hugs you quickly. 

"Sorry for making you cry," he says. You smile at him and reply,

"It's okay. I was just afraid that you didn't like me at all." He chuckles and then kisses you on the lips. After pulling away, he says,

"I don't just like you. I love you, Y/n." Your eyes widen and you reply,

"I love you too, Lui." He smirks and places another kiss on your lips and you kiss back this time.

---Bonus---

You throw open the doors and walk out, dragging Lui along behind you. 

"I have an announcement to make. Lui and I are officially dating," you say to the others. 

"Wait, what?" Valt asks, clearly confused. Lui turns you towards him and kisses you deeply before saying,

"She's saying that she's mine now. So stay away from her." You giggle and grab Lui's hand. 

"You're so cute when you're jealous," you tell him sweetly. He scoffs and looks away, causing everyone to laugh. 

Daigo smiles at the happy couple, knowing that he helped bring you two together.
