Okay, time to start this chapter. This was one of the first requests, so sorry that it's been so long. It was requested by @bluedragonofthewind

(In this chapter, the reader starts out dating Lui. I am going to write him as a bad character in this chapter, sorry if you like him)

Your POV

You sigh and close your eyes, bored of being at this party for so long.

"Y/n," you hear a voice say. Your eyes open and look at the source of the voice. It's none other than your boyfriend, Lui Shirosagi. You slightly push up off of the chair that you were in and stand up.

"I think I'm going to go. We've been here forever," you say to Lui. He frowns and grabs your wrist harshly, pulling you back down into the seat next to him.

"You're staying," Lui says sternly. Your heart beats quickly out of fear. After nodding slightly at your boyfriend, he lets go of your wrist and plants a forceful kiss on your lips. You don't kiss back, but don't pull away due to fear of what Lui would do. After he pulls away with a slight frown, you gently touch your wrist, wincing at the pain you feel from the action. Lui gestures for you to come closer to him and you do so hesitantly. Once you're sitting directly next to him, he places an arm around your body and pulls you close. You sigh once again, focusing on anything but Lui.

-Time Skip to after the party-

You had convinced Lui to let you walk home by yourself by telling him that you were going to the store. Once you were free of him, you made your way to the park. You wanted to be by yourself for a little bit. However, it seems as though you aren't all alone.

You see a blue-haired blader standing at a stadium, launching his bey. You immediately recognize him as an opponent of Lui's who actually scored a point against him. His name was Valt Aoi, you think. Instead of walking past him, you decide to go and talk to him a little bit.

"Hello," you say to him. He looks up at you and smiles,

"Hey! My name is Valt Aoi. What's yours?" You smile back at him and reply,

"I'm Y/n L/n. I saw you training over here, so I decided to come and check it out." Valt chuckles and holds up his beyblade to you.

"This is Valtryek. We're training so that we can get better and win more battles. Valtryek's an amazing partner. What do you say? Wanna battle?" He asks enthusiastically. You pull your beyblade out of its holder and hold it up like Valt did.

"Sure, let's battle. This is my bey, b/n. We'll win for sure," you respond confidently. The two of you take your places at the opposite sides of the stadium and get into your launching positions. You begin to think about a strategy, 'Valtryek is an attack type, so b/n should do what it does best and defend. We technically have an advantage here'. You set up for a shot to the center of the stadium.

"3, 2, 1, Let it rip!" You and Valt yell in unison. B/n takes the center and spins quickly in place while Valtryek circles around.

"Rush Launch!" Valt yells. You watch Valtryek as it begins to do its signature move. Your beyblade isn't fazed by any of the attacks. After all, you were used to training with Lui and Luinor, whose attacks are relentless.

"B/n! Now!" You exclaim. Valtryek is hit quickly and sent flying out of the stadium. Valt pouts and picks up Valtryek before securing it in its holder on his belt. You do the same with your bey.

"Let's finish this battle sometime. What do you say? You go to Beigoma Academy right? Then how about you come to the bey club tomorrow?" Valt questions. You giggle at the questions,

"Yeah, I'm at Beigoma. Guess I'll see you after school." Valt smiles brightly and shakes your hand before saying,

"It was nice meeting you. Can't wait for the battle tomorrow! Anyway, see ya!" He runs off before you can say anything back to him. You giggle at him and hold a hand over your heart. 'Why's it beating so fast? And why does my face feel so hot?' You shrug it off, thinking that it's just exhaustion from the battle. But even you know better than that.

-Time Skip to after school the next day-

You open the door to the roof and look around. Once your eyes meet chocolate brown ones, you run over to the Valtryek owner. He smiles and hugs you quickly before letting go. There are a few other guys around him that you recognize from tournaments as well. One person is glaring at you slightly. You look at him and gasp, obviously knowing him. His red eyes don't leave you as you look away, embarrassed. Valt gets your attention and introduces you to everyone. You greet everyone kindly except for the Spryzen blader whom you ignore as he continues glaring at you. Valt notices Shu's glaring and decides to bring it up,

"Shu, is everything okay? You seem to be glaring at Y/n." Valt looks back and forth from you to Shu. Shu just crosses his arms and begins to reply, when. . .

"Y/n. Come here, we're leaving," A harsh voice says. Of course, you'd recognize your boyfriend's voice anywhere. You walk over to Lui slowly, knowing that all eyes are on you. Lui grabs you by your already bruised wrist and pulls you towards him quickly. You wince from the pain in your wrist, which doesn't go unnoticed. Lui then tries to kiss your lips, but you turn you face away from him. He snarls and says angrily, "You're going to regret doing that." You manage to get your wrist out of his grasp and then you quickly run behind Valt. Valt notices you trembling and he places his arms around you, making you feel safe. Lui takes a step towards you and Valt lets go of you, but moves in between you and Lui. He puts his arms out, shielding you from your boyfriend.

"Leave them alone," Valt says to him. Lui only grins and replies,

"They're dating me. It's not like you know them anyway, so why are you protecting them?" You take another step back, trembling even more.

"I do know them," Valt says, "they're my friend and the person that I fell in love with when they came up to me in the park last night." You gasp, looking at Valt. He flashes you a smile. You notice Lui moving behind him.

"V-Valt! Watch out!" You yell, terrified of Lui hurting him. Valt turns around just in time to be punched in the face by Lui. Tears run down your face as Valt falls to the ground. You quickly go to him and pet his hair, making sure that he's alright.

"Get out," you hear an angry voice say. Turning around, you see that it was Shu who said that. Honcho, Ken, and Daigo are standing in front of you and Valt now. You stand up and march over to where they're at. Once there, you turn to Lui,

"In case it wasn't already obvious, I'm breaking up with you. It's over." Lui steps towards you, but the three bladers step in front of you again. Lui clicks his tongue and then leaves the roof.

You thank the bladers, even Shu, for protecting you before turning back to Valt. His eyes flutter open, well one of them does easier than the other. You gently touch his eyelid with your fingertips and he winces slightly. 'He's gonna have a black eye by morning' you think to yourself. Valt looks at you and says,

"Y/n, I'm sorry that I couldn't protect you." You kiss him on the lips before telling him,

"You did protect me, Valt. And you gave me the confidence to end things with Lui. I-I love you, Valt." He smiles and replies,

"I love you too, but you already knew that." You and Valt share another kiss before you help him get off of the ground.

"Let's get you home and put an ice pack on your eye," you say to Valt. He nods, letting you help him down the stairs and out of the school.
