In the fog, Bel was having a battle with Shu.

Bel: (Laughs) Feast your eyes on my S-Gear upgrades and the power of Belfyre!

Spryzen went for a counter and knocked Belfyre up the air.

Bel: What the?!

Free: Would you look at that? It seems like Bel's no match for Shu. Oh, well. It's just as I expected. After all that upgrading, that's all it's got?

Bel: Agh! No way! No way! No way! This isn't even a fraction of Belfyre's new power!

Free: What an utter disappointment you've become, Bel. Oh, well.

Bel: (Gasps and screaming)

Bel: I didn't lose! I'm just prepping myself to win! Uh...

Bia: Did you have a bad dream, little brother?

Jinemon: Good morning. Sounds like you're still half asleep. That must have been quite the dream you had. (Laughs)

Bel: (Groans) What does Free know, anyway? (Grunts) I'll show him who the real disappointment is!

Jinemon: Hey, where you going now?

Bia: Oh, Bel.

(On the blimp)

Ryuka: Mmm! This breakfast can't get any better, amigo!

Ranzo: Mmm! I can't get enough of these churros! Each sugary crunch is better than the last!

Bashara: The paella's amazing too. I could get used to this fancy stuff.

Hanna: Yeah, yeah. Go on and enjoy it, but don't forget what you're here for.

Bella: She's right, you guys. We came here to see Rashad and Free's battle.

Bia: Good morning.

Jinemon: Pardon me. But have any of you happened to see Bel?

Hanna: No, I haven't seen him at all today.

Ranzo: What's he gotten himself into now?

Jinemon: Bel was riled up about something this morning and was going on about, "I'll show him," this, and, "Who's the real disappointment," that!

Haruki: I bet he ran off to the woods.

Ranzo: Maybe he went to find Free. I wouldn't put something like that past him.

Ryuka: I bet he's going to battle him.

Bashara: Do you really think he'd do that?

Bia: Well, I know our little brother is such a sneak.

Hanna: But I thought Free was going to have his battle with Rashad soon. Why would Bel-

Bashara: Wait! He must be planning on cutting in to challenge Free before that.

Hanna: We should have seen this coming from a mile away.

Ranzo: Uh-oh! This isn't good, guys! We can't just sit here! Come on!

Bella: Come on, Ryuka!

Ryuka: But I'm not done with my churros!

Bia grabs Ryuka and drags her.

Bia: Bel first, eat later.

Ryuka: 😭 But my breakfast...

Free: Let it Rip!!!

Free was thinking about Rashad going to crush him and Valt told him something awakened during his battle with Belfyre.

Free: (Something awakened, huh?)

Bia: Hey, Free.

Free: Hmm?

Bella: Have you seen Bel?

Free: No, why?

(Bey launches)

Free and Daizora Sisters: (Gasps)

Bella: Belfyre?! If he's here then Bel's here, too!

Free: (Sighs)

Bella: Is that a new Gear?

Bia: It seems familiar.

Bel: Beware! Doom rains from above! Belfyre, send Fafnir to the darkest abyss!

Belfyre knocks Fafnir out as Free caught it.

Bel: (Laughs) As the Dark Prince speaks, so it becomes reality!

Free: Your Bey's different from the last time I saw it.

Bella: Let me guess. Another upgrade?

Bel: That's right. It's called the S-Gear!

Bia: S-Gear, you say? You really had a good inspiration, little brother.

Free: You haven't come here to interfere with my training, have you?

Bel: I'm here to grant you the honor of being the first allowed to battle the new version of the Dark Prince's Belfyre!

Free: So you'll grant me the honor of battling, even though you're the one who came barging in?

Bel: Well, you started it by barging into the Dark Prince's dreams!

Free: Your dreams?

Bel: So are we doing this, or are we doing this?! Come on! Let's go!

Bella: Hey, you do know Rashad's battle is today?!

Bia: Think this through, Brother! You cannot take his place!

Free: (Scoffs) I don't have much of a choice, do I?

Bella: But Free!

Bia: You can't be serious, aren't you?

Free: All right. Let's go.

Haruki: There they are!

Ranzo: I knew it! He's here!

Ryuka: Right on the money!

Bel: Quake with fear as I show you the power of Belfyre's new upgrade!

Hanna: And Bel's monologuing.

Haruki transforms to Homura.

Homura: It's almost like he's narrating himself.

Bashara: Oh, man. I wanna battle against Free, too!

Ranzo: You could say he's free to go against Free.

Jinemon: I had a gut feeling something like this would happen.

Homura: Uh, what is that?

Ryuka: Looks like a drone.

Ranzo: Whoa.

Hanna: When did he find the time to make that?

Jinemon: Okay, Bladers and Bey-fans!

Jinemon: I know we're springing this on you suddenly, but I'm bringing you live battle between the one and only, Free De La Hoya and the Dark Prince, Bel Daizora!

Haruki: (Mentally) Is this guy even Mr. Hanami?

Homura: He's not even the caster.

Bel flips the S-Gear over and puts it back on the Nexus Disc and the Bey back together.

Bel: Let this message echo across the land! The Dark Prince will soon have this Free De La Hoya begging for sweet mercy! Bashara, you'll be the ref today. Got it?

Kiyamas, Homura, and Hanna: Huh?/(Grumbles)

Bashara: Uh, sure!

Hanna: You don't have to do what he-

Ranzo: ...says.

Bashara: 1st Battle! Ready. Set!

3, 2, 1, Let it Rip!!!

Bel: Let's go! Daring Launch!

Belfyre went quickly around the center as Fafnir gets hit by the S-Gear.

Free: (His Bey's not spinning freely this time.)

(At the blimp)

Wakiya: The nerve! Has he no respect for the rules of this Tour?!

Valt: Free and Bel are having a battle, huh?

Wakiya: (Grumbles) Who does he think he is?!

Rashad: Bel is up to his old tricks again.

Jinemon: Belfyre now has its new S-Gear equipped! It's the most powerful Bey out there!

Rashad: What's S-Gear?

Valt: Looks like Bel must have been inspired by Spryzen when he made it.

Rashad: You mean he made another upgrade?

Valt: That's classic Bel.

Rashad: I can't wait to see how Free's gonna battle against him!

Wakiya: What? You're okay with this? You're the one who was originally supposed to battle against Free, remember?!

Rashad: Hmph. If Free's gonna lose against Bel, then a battle with Free would be totally meaningless to me.

(Meanwhile at the battle)

Belfyre attacks all over the place against Fafnir.

Jinemon: Belfyre's attacks aren't stopping anytime soon!

Hanna: He's really going for it!

Bashara: Looks like Bel's new upgrades are putting in the work!

Bella: That's our Dark Prince brother for you!

Ryuka: Not bad at all, amigo!

Ranzo: Free's got a one-way ticket to burst-town!

Jinemon: Quick as lightning, Belfyre charges in.

Jinemon: But it's not over. Fafnir's absorbing power!

Free: Fafnir, Kick Counter! Go!

Fafnir uses its Kick Driver and spring him up to Belfyre.

Ranzo and Hanna: (Gasps)

Bia: Fafnir went for a counterattack?

Jinemon: Agh! I can't look!

Free: (Chuckles) (I'm ending this right now.)

Bella: Bel, he's coming!

Bel: Beware! The Dark Prince is just getting started!

Belfyre uses its V-Gear to give itself a boost.

Hanna: With rapid acceleration, Belfyre's heading directly to its opponent!

Homura: Not Hanna, too.

Free: (Roars) GO, FAFNIR!!! (Summon avatar)

Bel: (Roars) BELFYRE!!!

Belfyre: I'm on it! (Summon avatar)

Bel: I'M GONNA BRING YOU TO RUIN! DESTRUCTION WRECKER!!!

Bel: (Chuckles)

Bella: Yes!

Ranzo: You really did it! You won!

Ryuka: Awesome!

Bashara: Wait, so Bel was on the counterattack?

Bia: Very impressive.

Jinemon: Did you see that? My grandson had a superb comeback.

Hanna: Did you see that, Jiji? You had your eyes closed.

Bella: I haven't seen you watch half the battle, Grandpa.

Jinemon: (Chuckles)

Bel: How'd you like that? Belfyre's really something else, isn't it?

Free: Were you planning for that to happen?

Bel: Hmph. Why, yes, of course I was!

Free: I had a feeling that's what you would say.

Bel: (Cackles) I'll admit you were a worthy opponent for me, but the Dark Prince is always going to be the strongest there is! (Cackles)

Free: You know, you're really a surprising one, Bel.

Bel: Hmph! If you think you're surprised now, just wait 'til the next time we battle!

Free: Sure. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Bel: The Dark Prince is the only one who gets to have fun, and don't you forget it!

Bella: No way you're hogging all the fun for the Dark Princess!

(At the blimp)

Valt: Come on, Bel. That's a bit much. Let's not get carried away!

Wakiya: But you saw what happened! He even won against Free's evolved Fafnir!

Valt: Just like his Bey. Bel also upgraded himself to a cool new version.

Rashad: (Grumbles) Then this place is useless to me.

Valt: Eh?

Wakiya: Hey, where are you going, Rashad? You've got a battle against Free coming up yourself, don't you?

Rashad: It's meaningless to battle against someone who lost against Bel.

With that, he leaves.

Wakiya: Hey! Come on, Rashad! Come back here! Where are you going?

Valt: That's classic Rashad for you.

Wakiya: Sheesh! Each and every one of them is so selfish, doin' whatever they want!

(Skates rattling)

Valt and Wakiya: Huh?

Ilya: Good to see you again, Valt. Been a while.

Valt: You used to be a member of BC Sol with the rest of us. You're, uh...

Ilya: You didn't forget about me, did you?

(10 minutes later)

Wakiya: The battle between Rashad and Free has officially been canceled!

Daizoras, Kiyamas, and Suiros: Huh?!

Wakiya: You can thank a certain someone for running off on his own to battle Free.

Homura: And whose fault is that, Bel?

Bel: Just "a certain someone"?! That's the Dark Prince to you!

Rashad: No matter who you are, you need to obey the rules.

Bel: I don't know what you're getting so upset about. I defeated Free for you! Shouldn't you be thanking me instead?

Rashad: I'm not gonna thank you, but I will say this. I can't deny your talents. You did an awesome job out there.

Bel: Hmph! I already knew that, and I don't need compliments from you.

Rashad: Why, you little...

Ilya: Thanks for waiting!

Bella: Hey! You're that girl from the other day!

Hanna: Who is that?

Valt: Say hi to Ilya Mao.

Ilya: (Chuckles)

Wakiya: Valt asked if she could join the tour, so Ilya will be coming along with us for the remainder of the journey.

Ilya: It's nice to meet you.

Valt: Rashad knows Ilya well. They actually know each other, 'cause they used to be in BC Sol together.

Rashad: Yeah.

Bia: She was also my friend, as well.

Bella: Hmm. So what, are you joining us so you can cheer Rashad on or something?

Rashad: Oh, no, that's definitely not the case.

Bella: Hmm?

Ilya: Don't be such downer, Rashad, I could cheer you on. For example, if you were to get down on your knees and ask real nicely, I might consider it.

Hanna: Do you think that means that Ilya's a Blader as well?

Bashara: I don't know for sure, but maybe?

Ranzo: If she was a member of BC Sol, that must mean she's a Blader, don't you think?

Ryuka: You might be right there, Hermano.

Ilya: (Sighs)

Valt: Okay, guys, now that everyone's here, let's all get back to the tour.

Everyone: Yeah!!!

Bel: It doesn't matter who the next Legend we meet is. They don't stand a chance against the Dark Prince.

Bel: (Cackles)
