Water and Fire- ATLA AU
(Turbo Era, and Avatar: The Last Airbender AU, since I'm getting into that. ALSO deleted the part where Toko says that their mother died because Chiharu will not die that easily, so let's just say that they all were taken lmao)
"Toko, come on!" Nika beckons, as her twin brother slowly ran up to her, panting heavily.
"What's the matter Nika? You haven't been this uptight until- Woah!" Toko yells as a huge Fire Nation ship towered above them.
"Come on, I just found this ship crashed in our shores! We need to look for survivors!" Nika orders.
"But, Nika! These are Fire Nation people! Dangerous people! What would Valt and the others say?" Toko asks.
"Please Toko! Maybe they have a water-bender onboard, and they can teach me how to water-bend!" Nika begs.
"Fine. But where would they stay?" Toko asks.
"We can find them a place." Nika says.
The two twins of the Southern Water Tribe slowly crept on the ship, passing deserted hallways.
"This place is completely deserted. I don't think there's anyone on. Come on Nika, you know we aren't supposed to be near the shores." Toko begs.
"I hear something!" Nika yells. She ran toward the bottom of the ship, to find 3 people left behind. A girl with a pink bow and blue hair, a teenage girl with blue hair, and a young boy with brown hair.
"Nika! Be careful!" Toko orders, walking toward the 3 humans.
"Excuse me. Excuse me. Are you okay?" Nika pokes the girl's face. She wakes up slowly, staring at Nika.
"Who, who are you? Where am I!" She sits up, purple eyes darting everywhere nervously.
"I'm Nika, from the Southern Water Tribe. That's my twin brother Toko. What's your name?" Nika asks.
"Honey. I'm from the Fire Nation. That's my sister Shasa, and that's Kit. He's an Airbender." Honey answers.
"That's a pretty name!" Nika smiles.
"Yeah, but why are you alone?" Toko asks.
"It was a Sky Bison. I think he was looking for Kit, and it rammed into the ship, and I guess a lot of people fell out, and we crashed." Honey answers. "Shasa. Wake up."
Shasa slowly woke up, groaning, and then nudges Kit, who yawns.
"What's going to happen to us?" Honey asks.
"I dunno. We can't take you back to our village, so maybe we can find somewhere for you to live." Toko answers. "But let's go. I'm sure that people will come soon."
"Yeah, alright." Honey stood up, and they followed Nika and Toko out of the area.
"So, are any of you benders?" Honey asks.
"Yeah. Nika's the last water-bender of our tribe, after the Fire Nation took all of ours." Toko nods.
"Oh. I'm sorry. I'm a fire-bender, as well as Shasa." Honey answers.
"I'm an Airbender, but I guess you probably know that." Kit winks, looking at Toko. "You look pretty hot."
"Thanks?" Toko seemed perplexed.
"Maybe you can show us to a cave, and then we can melt some ice away, and live in it." Shasa suggests.
"That sounds like a plan." Nika smiles.
"Yeah. We know a cave along the way." Toko agrees. "Follow me!"
They ran along the path, taking a sudden turn when they came upon a cave.
"This is perfect. Thank you." Shasa smiles.
"Yeah. We just found it, so it'll be just our secret." Nika nods.
Honey slowly melted some ice, before settling down on the ground.
"Here you go. We can make more, but you guys need it." Nika says as she and Toko take off their warm layers, handing them to the others.
"We can't accept it. You've already done so much for us." Honey shook her head.
"You guys need it more. We're accustomed to the cold." Nika answers. "Just maybe try to teach me water-bending?"
"Yeah. Thanks." Honey smiles.
"We better head back Nika, we can just say we were penguin sledding and lost our jackets," Toko says. "We'll come back tomorrow with some food and water."
"Bye!" Nika smiles and walks away.
They slowly make their way to their village, as Mrs. Aoi rushes out to greet them.
"Where have you been? Where are your jackets?" She chids, before grabbing them by the shirt, and dragging them into the warm hut.
"We were penguin sledding!" Toko yelps. "Mom stop it!"
"I nearly had the others go find you!" Chiharu growls. "No need guys! They came back."
"Mom! Come on, we're 11." Nika groans.
"No buts! I want to see you two on time next time!" Chiharu orders.
"Where were you guys?" Fubuki asks as the other kids walked up to them. "You forgot about the Bey battle?"
"We got a bit lost trying to find our coats." Toko lies.
"For almost a whole day?" Suoh questions.
"It's nothing, come on, let's battle." Nika waves her hand, and a pile of snow falls down from Ranjiro's tower.
"Nika! Watch it!" Ranjiro groans.
