🔥 This baby was totally expected, the two of you have been wanting and trying for a baby for ages now

🔥 Unfortunately, it took some time

🔥 Now you see, not only are you a Blader, but you also train with Xander at his dojo

🔥 So whenever you were late, you'd freak out and go buy a pregnancy test, only to be disappointed

🔥 Anyways, one day while you were playing capture the flag with Ukyo, you realised something

🔥 You literally stopped in the middle of the forest with your eyes wide, frantically trying to remember how long it had been

'Ha! Got you- Y/n, what's wrong?'

'Holy shit...' You murmured when you realised that you were late by almost two months now. 'I've gotta go, people to go places to see, bye Ukyo!'

'Y/n! That doesn't make any-' Ukyo was left blinking as you bolted, leaving him standing there, your abrupt change in demeanor near giving him whiplash. 'Sense...I still won the game, right?'

🔥Anyways, while Ukyo was left confused, you were sprinting back up to the dojo like your life depended on it

'Hey Y/n, I was wondering if you could-'

'Sorry Yugo, can't talk, bye!'

🔥 Let's just say that everyone was wondering what had possessed Xander's wife that day

🔥 Meanwhile, you were crouching on the floor of your and Xander's shared bathroom, frantically tearing through the contents of the cabinet under the sink

'I know I've got one in here somewh- YES!'

🔥There were even two of them

🔥So you sat down and did the tests

🔥Yes, both of them

🔥You wanted to be certain

🔥Which was partially why Xander wasn't there with you

🔥You wouldn't be able to stand his disappointment if you were wrong again

🔥Yeah, every time he'd smile and say that it was okay, and that the two of you could keep trying

🔥But you knew how upsetting it was

🔥The other reason though, was purely selfish

🔥You needed to know immediately if your suspicions were correct, and you had no clue where Xander was at that moment, and couldn't be bothered wasting time to find him

🔥But still, sitting there by yourself in suspense was killing you on the inside

🔥In fact, you were so on edge, that when the timer on your phone went off, you jumped a foot in the air

🔥It didn't matter though, you almost tripped over yourself when you stumbled for the basin where you'd left the tests

🔥You blinked

🔥You were dumbstruck

🔥And then the stupidest smile made it's way onto your face

'XANDERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!'

Every living creature currently in or within a mile radius of the Swordflames Dojo leapt out of their skin at the high pitched shriek that tore through the air. People cringed, dogs whimpered, and poor Xander Shakadera wondered if this was the end.

'XANDERXANDERXANDERXANDERXANDERXANDERXANDERXANDER!'

There was a momentary pause in the shouting, and Xander near experienced a heart attack as his wife leapt onto his shoulders from behind. He knew it was her, as she was the only one to ever climb over him like he was her own personal tree, though he couldn't help but fear for his life as two things were shoved before his eyes, obscuring his vision.

'Xander! Xander! Xander! Xander!'

'I am sense... You want to tell me something?'

'Yeeeeeeeesssssss,' Y/n drew the word out, attempting to shake him for emphasis without dislodging herself from her perch in the process.

'Well what-'

'LOOK!' She screeched, moving the things back so he could view them properly. 'Don't worry, I cleaned them, but Xander look!'

'YOU'RE PREGNANT?!'

'YES!'

'WE'RE HAVING A BABY!'

🔥He grabbed you from his shoulders and lifted you up and over his head in order to spin around

🔥The both of you were laughing

🔥Neither of you cared about the stares everyone gave you

🔥Because finally you were having a baby

🔥He became crazily overprotective after that

🔥He immediately outlawed all of Ukyo's jump scares on you, which you were fine with

🔥But you weren't fine when he freaked out when you tried to go skateboarding with Quon, or even practice your swordplay with Yugo

'It's not even like I'm sparring with him for Godsake, we're using training dummies for crying outloud!'

🔥You were pissed

🔥But it wasn't as if Xander was doing it to be mean

🔥He eventually sat down, with you in his lap of course, and explained that it was because you'd struggled to get pregnant for so long, that he was terrified of something going wrong and happening to you or the baby

🔥You felt kind of bad for being so mad at him after that

🔥You could understand where he was coming from after all

🔥So you agreed that you'd slow down, but you wouldn't stop, not until the obstetrician told you at least

🔥It was the first thing you and Xander asked her about when you visited next

🔥Basically, she said that as long as it wasn't anything overly strenuous or too dangerous, that you'd be fine, but to stop and come see her immediately if you began having any sorts of complications with the baby

🔥Xander admittedly felt better after that visit

🔥Now, we all know how Xander likes to warm up before his BeyTraining, yeah?

🔥It's low key mental

🔥You'd never had a problem in keeping up with him though

🔥But even you knew that it'd be dangerous to attempt while pregnant

🔥So you decided to go for a run instead

🔥Imagine your surprise when you walked out to find Xander in a pair of running shorts, stretching

'It's not fair for you to miss out Y/n,' he smiled as though it were obvious. 'I thought we could make this my warm up instead.'

🔥Now, it was pretty much a ritual for the two of you to get up before everyone else and do Xander's little circut through the forest in the mornings

🔥So you had fully expected him to be half way through it by the time you began your run

🔥It meant alot to you that Xander had so casually ditched it in favour of keeping the time he normaly spent with you, doing something he wouldn't normally do

🔥You ended up leaving your earphones behind so the two of you could listen to your playlist while you ran

🔥You skipped over Sweet Dreams though

🔥Because jogging, in a forest while listening to that? It just put you on the edge. Yeah, you had Xander with you, but ever since that first episode of Grimm...

'Sweet dreams are made of this, who am I to disagr-'

'Seriously?'

'Shut up,' you huffed, flushing for a reason other than your exertion.

'Don't worry Y/n, I'll protect you from the big bad Blutbad.'

You rolled your eyes, but couldn't resist smiling when he winked at you.

🔥You did punch him when he howled however

🔥You'd screamed, but he was still laughing hysterically despite clutching his arm

🔥You told him you hoped it would bruise

🔥By the time you two got back, Xander had mostly forgotten about the incident, but you hadn't

🔥So naturally, you had Ukyo get him back on your behalf

🔥It wasn't anything too big, but it sure as hell made you laugh when Xander flicked on the bedside lamp that night and screeched at what he thought was a cockroach

🔥Turns out it was a bit of cardboard Ukyo had carefully cutout and stuck on the inside of the lamp shade during the day

🔥Shadow Walkers= 11, Xander= 2

🔥Xander let it slide

🔥He wasn't starting World War III... Not after the way you and Ukyo had destroyed him last time, despite Ukyo's broken arm

(But that's another story ;) )

🔥Part of you was tempted to test how much you could get away with, but you couldn't, not after everything Xander was doing for you

🔥He even stopped using so much hairspray, in case the aerosol was bad for the baby

🔥He'd let you do his hair every morning if you asked him at this point

🔥Oh! Not to mention he'd get up at any point during the night to get you whatever you were craving

🔥And he didn't complain about it once, despite his exhaustion

🔥You felt so bad for it

🔥One night you were craving chocolate chip cookies so damn badly, but you knew you had none, nor did you have the stuff to make them

🔥And bloody hell, you wanted freshly made ones too

🔥You were beginning to sniffle at this point, because hormones are evil, and despite how quiet you were being, Xander woke up

'Baby what's wrong?' He demanded, pulling you into his arms and tracing soothing patterns on your back just how he knew you liked. His kindness made you want to burst into tears.

'No, don't worry about it, go back to sleep.' You insisted, wiping your eyes hastily and trying for a smile.

'Is it something with the baby?'

'Nonono, the baby's fine,' you shook your head adamantly, now feeling even worse that he'd been worrying about that too. 'We're both fine, I swear.'

'Y/n, you and I both know that fine means you're not fine,' he told you seriously, refusing to let the matter drop. 'Tell me what's wrong.'

'I'm hungry,' you admitted softly, not wanting to look at him.

'Is that it?' He laughed, quietly mind you, as everyone else was sleeping. 'Love, that's fine. What are you in the mood for?'

'Cookies,' you sighed. 'But we don't have any.'

Xander shook his head, still smiling broadly at you. He dropped a kiss to your forehead and got out of bed, looking for something.

'Xander! What the hell are you doing?' You whisper shouted.

'Looking for my pants, you don't want me to go out in just my boxers, do you?' He gave you a cheeky wink as he found a t-shirt to throw on before continuing the search for his evasive trousers. 'You know there's only one person I don't mind seeing me like this.'

'Shut up,' you huffed, blushing fiercely, something you knew he could see by the quiet chuckle he let out. 'Xander, it's just gone two, where the hell do you plan on getting me cookies this late?'

'I know a place,' you saw him shrug, and rolling your eyes, you left the warmth of your bed.

'And what do you think you're doing?' You could practically hear the raised eyebrow, even as you found a hoodie of Xander's and pulled it over your head. The thing was so huge that it dwarfed your frame, completely hiding your pregnancy to anyone who was none the wiser, your sleep shorts just peaking out underneath the hem.

'What does it look like I'm doing?' You asked him rhetorically, finding your thongs and slipping them onto your feet. 'I'm coming with you.'

'No you're not.'

'Yes I am,' you countered, holding up the car keys you had grabbed without him seeing. 'You can't go anywhere without these.'

Xander shook his head fondly, knowing it was useless to argue. 'Come on then.'

🔥He drove you to a small corner store on the outskirts of the city, and of course, you insisted on going in with him

🔥To your surprise however, he took you to a shelf of thin rectangular boxes, all advertising mixtures for different types of baked goods such as cakes, brownies and cookies

🔥Grinning, you grabbed a chocolate chip one from the shelf and smiled up at Xander adoringly

🔥Fast forward to when you guys get back and get to work in the kitchen

🔥Two flour fights later, you're headed back to bed with a plate of steaming, fresh biscuits with the chips still melting

🔥You got a toothpick and drew in the chips, giving them little legs to look like spiders

🔥Xander put a DVD on, and you were delighted to find that he was putting on an episode of Grimm

🔥You did swat him upside the head however, when you realised it was the pilot, and the scene he had been teasing you about while running came onto the screen

🔥Despite having seen it half a million times, you still jumped as Halda jumped out at Aunt Marie with his scythe, and cheered when Monroe made his first appearance

🔥You ended up falling asleep together, only waking up at lunch time when Ukyo knocked on the door, reminding you that you had an appointment in an hour

🔥Let's just say there was a mad rush to get out the door on time

🔥Xander ended up attempting to pull on a pair of skinny jeans, before realising they were your's, not to mention he had no time to fix his hair

🔥He ended up sitting on the floor in front of you while you perched on the bed, tying his hair into a low, lose pony tail

🔥And hell, it looked great on him

🔥He fairly carried you out the door the very moment you were done, and you allowed yourself pride in the fact that he didn't even stop to check that his hair was satisfactory and that he trusted you enough to not make him look like a fool

🔥And on my God, this was the visit

🔥You got to hear the babies' heart beat, and find out their gender

🔥Xander, being as impatient as he is of course, couldn't wait to find out

🔥But then again, neither could you

🔥You were both openly crying when you saw your baby girl moving around

🔥She looked like she was waving at the two of you for a moment

🔥The moment you get back, you enlist Ukyo, Yugo and Quon in helping set up the nursey

🔥Mind you, yourself and Xander had moved in properly to the dojo years ago. Xander's grandfather had signed everything over to you both as a wedding gift when you were married

🔥So naturally, that's where the nursery would be set up too

🔥The room was a bit smallish, but it had a connecting door to your own room, and she could always take a larger room instead when she got older

🔥It took weeks, but it was so worth it:

🔥And the baby shower was amazing

🔥Everything was pink, grey and white, it actually looked really good :)

🔥This girl is going to be spoiled rotten

🔥She got tons of cute stuff, but your favourite would be the mini boxing gloves:

🔥Not to mention Ukyo bought you both t-shirts

🔥Now, as the pregnancy progressed, you had to cut back on the physical activity

🔥Your mornings went from running, to jogging, to "fuck it I'm sleeping in"

🔥You found some ways to get involved though

🔥You helped Yugo design new ideas for traps in the forest for one, and helped Ukyo new ways to improve his launching power

🔥Unfortunately though, you yourself could no longer Beyblade either

🔥Damn bump kept getting in the way

🔥Didn't mean you couldn't train the others though

🔥And surprisingly, the kids there trained harder when you were pregnant

🔥Probably something to do with fear of hormones kicking in and incurring the wrath of Xander

🔥Or Ukyo or Yugo or Quon

🔥You know how it is

🔥Xander, being the ever attentive loveable darling that he is, noticed something was up the moment you began going into labour

🔥You passed it off as back pains

🔥A week before you thought you'd been going into labour, only to be told it was back pains

🔥Yugo later swore that ten years at the minimum had been taken from his life span due to Xander's freaking out

🔥His screaming alone, you'd think Xander was the one going into labour

🔥But the pains had continued after that, so that was why you'd just brushed it off

🔥But Xander knew

🔥I don't know how, but he knew

🔥You didn't notice how he left to put the bag near the door, or how he kept palming the car keys in his nervousness

🔥What you did notice, was those back pains getting worse

🔥But you wanted to be certain

🔥And when something wet ran down the inside of your thigh, you cursed, thinking you'd wet yourself

🔥But then you caught the funny look Xander was giving you

🔥And shit, you realised this was happening

🔥Surprisingly and thankfully, Xander did not freak out this time

🔥Instead, he was really calm about the whole thing

🔥Hell, he calmed you down

🔥You were quietly freaking out

🔥Mostly it was just anxiety

🔥But Xander could tell, he could always tell

🔥He didn't say anything, but he turned on the radio and kept the volume quiet, holding your hand as he drove

Quick A/n, do not drive one handed, that is a very bad choice. This is just for the sake of fluff, but you need to be responsible on the road, and that includes having both hands on the steering wheel at all times.

🔥Then he started singing along quietly

🔥Now, Xander has a really nice singing voice, it's super smooth and deep, but he doesn't sing much, and next to no one actually knows

🔥But it was honestly beautiful

'She's the heart of life, she's the dreamer's dream, she's the hands of time, she's the queen of kings.'

🔥He squeezed your hand on that last little part

🔥Damn hormones making you want to cry all the time

🔥Probably would have cried too, of not for the really painful contraction that hit you

🔥Xander's hand got squeezed

🔥Dude barley blinked

🔥It was gonna be a long drive...

🔥Singing helped get your mind off it though

🔥So yeah, sing along

🔥You guys sung everything that came on, from shouting out the words to Bohemian Rhapsody, Hello, New Thang, Uptown Funk and Hit The Road Jack

🔥Cotton Eye Joe got promptly skipped though

🔥You refused to go into labour with that song stuck in your head

🔥That was the deal breaker

🔥It felt like ages for you to properly dilate

🔥And that's when you realised -

🔥You hadn't thought of a single name

🔥Xander merely laughed when you panicked, and said you'd have plenty of time

🔥Even so, he still sat behind you on the bed so that you could lean into his chest, his arms thrown around your waist, thinking up baby names

🔥The candidates were:

🔥And they were all nice, but none of them seemed to click

🔥You managed to get some sleep, despite the pain you felt, with Xander humming softly to you and tracing nonsensical patterns across your arms

🔥You awoke later, to the midwife telling you that you could start to push

🔥God, you just wanted to go back to sleep

🔥BUT YOU COULD FINALLY MEET YOUR BABY

🔥So you could go with it

🔥But holy shit, you'd never felt this kind of pain before

🔥It felt like your entire lower body was being squeezed in a vice and was simultaneously on fire

🔥Xander kept talking to you for the hours that you were in labour

🔥Mostly it was just whispering encouragements and kissing your hair

🔥Why couldn't it just be over?!

🔥You wanted to kill someone

🔥Not Xander, you loved him too much for that

🔥Maybe the guy telling you to push

'Push Mrs. Shakadera!'

'Fuck you, you push!'

'Y/n-'

'NONE OF YOU KNOW WHAT I'M GOING THROUGH-' You were cut off by your own scream, and the midwife coming over to you, taking your clammy hand in her own.

'You're doing an amazing job Mrs. Shakadera, better than I ever did, that's for certain.'

'You have kids?' You gasped out, grateful for the conversation despite struggling to hold it.

'Five,' she smiled, helping you by brushing some of the hair out of your face.

'How?' You bit out through clenched teeth, clutching her hand. To the midwife's credit, she didn't even flinch. 'Or better yet, why?'

'I have no idea, most days.' She laughed despite herself. 'But I never regret anything, and your little girl will be worth every little bit of pain.'

'Mrs. Shakadera, you need to-'

'SHUT UP!' Both you and the midwife shouted at the irritating man.

🔥The midwife was right, everything was worth it when you heard your little girl cry out

🔥She even sounded beautiful

🔥And the midwife handed her to you immediately

🔥You cried

🔥She was gorgeous

🔥You'd never seen someone so beautiful

🔥Aside from Xander of course, but this was different

🔥This little girl was alive and wailing, and the whole reason that she was there lying against your chest, was because you and Xander loved each other

🔥Knowing that was just... Incredible

🔥You named her Pyrrha

🔥Pyrrha Shakadera

🔥And god, she was perfect

🔥And her hair was so red

🔥Just a few shades darker than her father's, but it reminded you of flames in the hearth

🔥Oh, and there was no godfather, rather, there are godfather(s), with very many s's
