"Come in already Lui," you called out to your boyfriend from where you were treading water in your new pool. "The water's great!"

The two of you had finally moved in together, after four soon to be five years of being a couple, it just seemed like the natural next step in your relationship. Unfortunately, while both lovely places, neither of your old residences had been quite big enough for the both of you to live comfortably on a permanent basis. It had taken a few months, but finally, Lui had been the one to find the perfect house for the two of you, one that had met every single requirement either of you might have had and more. Three bedrooms, a master's, a guest and a spare, all with an ensuite. There was plenty of kitchen space, a spacious loungeroom, a huge back yard, and a detachable room that both of you had agreed on later converting into a training room. Despite the luxurious living quarters, one aspect of the house you now owned stood out to you the most.

A pool.

But not just any pool, oh no.

It was a specially made, Insane Pools: Off the Deep End Pool.

It was no secret that you loved to swim, and you had up until recently been a frequent visitor to the local swimming pools. For months, you had been saving up for something like this, but when Lui had suggested moving in together, you'd instead used those funds and put them towards a house that the both of you could be proud of, on the condition of course, that it had it's own swimming pool.

As always, Lui had managed to go above and beyond. The previous homeowners had once been on the pool constructing TV show, but had been forced to move after expanding their family.

To say that you were pleased would have been a dramatic understatement at best. Never in your wildest dreams had you thought of owning something this amazing. You were absolutely in love, and at the first chance you got after finally getting everthing unpacked, you dove right in. Literally.

The only dampener? For some reason, Lui refused to get in the pool with you.

At first, you had brushed it off when he had sat on a deckchair, figuring he would join you later. But now, an hour later, he was still laying there, soaking up the rays of the mid Summer's sun in his boardshorts, not that he would ever tan of course.

"Later Y/n," he promised, waving a hand in the air as though he were dismissing the very notion.

You scowled. He sounded half asleep!

What was the point, in having such an amazing pool, if the very same person who had helped you to buy it wouldn't bloody join in? It was nigh on fifty degrees for God's sake! If you went and cracked an egg on the pavement outside your house then and there, it would cook.

No, this wouldn't do, not in the slightest, and you revolved to do anything and everything within your power to get Lui into the water.

Being as silent as possible, you pulled yourself out of the water and crept up on your boyfriend. You'd been waiting for almost two hours now for an opportunity just like this one, and when you'd finally heard a small snore from Lui, you just knew that it wasn't something that you could afford to pass up.

As you got closer, you realised that yes, he definitely was asleep. His bared, yet still pale, chest was rising and falling in time with his even breathes, his eyes were closed and his posture completely relaxed. He made the perfect picture of innocence in the relax state you sae him in, a shame really that it was about to end.

Lui was small, he'd gotten taller since you guys were kids, but you still managed to be just that little bit taller. Admittedly, it had been a while since you had picked him up, but you were quietly confident that you would be able to manage it now, if only for the few seconds that you needed.

In one fluid motion, you bent down over Lui, and slid your arms under him, one going beneath the crook of his knees, the other going to his back, and you lifted him up with a practiced ease.

Immediately, Lui's eyes flew open, and he looked around wildly.

"Y/n, what're you doing?!"

"It's later," you grinned evilly, tightening your grip when he started to squirm, already half way to the water with your long stride. "Time to cool off."

"Y/n!" He howled as you jumped.

"Sorry not sorry!" You cackled gleefully. "CANNONBALL!"

You hit the water with a loud splash, Lui still in your arms, detangling yourself from him as you fully sumberged. If it were possible to glare at someone from under water, your boyfriend was more than capable, his violet eyes cutting into you seamlessly through the crystalline clear water.

You kicked to the surface, followed by Lui, who immediately swam over to you, a menacing glare still fixed to his features. While the effect of his gaze no longer intimidated you, there was something different that set you off.

"Your hair!" You howled, much like Lui had earlier, but this was with laughter. Peals of laughter, that tore themselves one after the other, unbidden from your throat, and just when you thought yoy had managed to compose yourself, another look at Lui only set you off again.

"Are you done?" He arched a brow, not at all impressed by your hysteria, though he no longer had his glare.

"Oh my God," you wheezed, having to wipe tears from your cheeks. "Oh my god."

"Yeah yeah, I know. Laugh it up." He growled.

"I just did!" You exclaimed, needing to bite your lip as to not start all over again. "You're so much shorter!"

"I know," he sighed.

"Is this why you didn't want to get in the water?" You wondered, looking at his hair, darker as it hung heavy with water, surprisingly with the slightest curl to it.

"Yes."

"Well that's just silly."

Lui looked surprised at you words, and gave you that look of his. The one where he subconsciously turned his head to the side and looked like a curious puppy, it was a look mind you, that you found absolutely adorable.

"Your hair looks fine," you shrugged. "I mean weird, yeah, but that's only because I'm not used to it. Besides, it's already starting to flame back up."

It was true, his hair was already starting to somehow reignite from an unknown source, self-drying and standing back up. You figured that this must be the reason why you'd never seen his hair like this after a shower before, because his hair was so damn naturally firey, just like he was.

"Good," he sighed again, sounding relieved. "I hate my hair like this."

"But why though?" You wondered, genuinely at a loss.

He shrugged defensively. "Never have."

"Well I think it's hot... Damp?" You frowned, deciding not to think too much about it. "Cute."

"I should've just told you that I couldn't swim," Lui grumbled, trying his damnedest not to smile even as you laughed and kissed him.

Eh, it's been a while since I've done fanart, but this is what I had in mind for Lui's hair to look like, definitely proud of how it came out.
