Michael stood on top of a nearby building that overlooked the city and he looked down at his bey, Hatred Salamander. He could hear the voice of a younger Phoebe in her mind

"Come on Michael, let's play!"

---Flashback---

Michael and Phoebe were playing a game of hide and seek, a game most kids their age would play! Michael was the seeker

Young Michael: Phoebe, where are you?!

Phoebe was hiding in an empty cupboard and she let out a soft giggle, resulting in giving her hiding spot location away

Young Michael: Found you!

Phoebe pouted as she came out of her hiding spot and went over to the sofa

Young Phoebe: You're always better than me at everything, Beyblade and all..

Young Michael: No, you just make it easy for me, that's why.

Phoebe just pouted and Michael took a seat next to her

Young Michael: If you want to be better at something then you have to prepare and practice, practice makes perfect.

Young Phoebe: I understand..

Michael smiled as he placed his hand on his sisters shoulder

Young Michael: Good, now lets play again, i'll let you hide again.

Young Phoebe: Yay!!

It wouldnt be long after Michaels unfortunate injury that Phoebe would start to surpass him in everything, including Beyblade

Michael's ability to blade deteriorated as his PTSD from his injury would often give him panic attacks or triggered his anxieties

Phoebe often trained alone now that her brother had stopped blading and she often wondered if her brother would ever make a comeback

Phoebe: Michael, when will you start blading again, i miss battling with you.

Michael just frowned as he clutched his injured eye softly and Phoebe looked a little sad

Phoebe: I guess that means "No"...

Phoebe turned and walked away before Michael could say anything, he felt guilty for neglecting his sister and her training but he just couldnt bring himself to start blading again

---Flashback Ends---

Michael clutches his bey tightly and he frowned, he regretted everything that led him to this point

Michael: Phoebe.. im sorry for everything, this wouldnt have happened if we never met Ashtem..

Michael clenched his bey tightly as his aura began to glow brightly

---Later---

Phoebe was in the Luminescent Arena's battle stage and was on the phone with Ashtem and he didnt seem very pleased

Ashtem: You may have won against The Demon King but you were supposed to have burst him..!

Phoebe just frowned as Ashtem reprimanded her

Ashtem: Your Elemental Power reached its highest possible level and yet you couldnt burst Belial.. i must say i am disappointed in you..

Phoebe: All that matters is that i won, isnt that right?!

Ashtem: Yes, but only scoring 2 Over Finishes is hardly acceptable! You were supposed to destroy Belial and crush the Demon King's spirits!

Phoebe: Why are you worried about him, you said it yourself that he isnt a threat!

Phoebe hung up and she walked over to the stadium and prepared to train but she heard footsteps entering the arena

Michael soon appeared into view and a smile was spread on his face, his eyes were glowing

Phoebe: What do you want now? It seems everytime im busy you always come running to me..

Michael stopped at the stadium and held up his bey with a small grin and saw that Phoebe still had her mask on

Michael: I thought you might be interested in a battle, your battle against The Demon King was quite interesting.. i thought id take a shot at battling you.

Phoebe just stared at him as he stood there smiling, she knew he wasnt going to go anywhere

Phoebe: What do you have to gain by challenging me?

Michael: Oh come on, is it too much to ask that i have a battle with my sister?

Phoebe looked at him a little funny and held up her bey with a reluctant look

Phoebe: You will make great preparation before my battle against Valt.. prepare yourself brother!

Michael switched his Hatred Salamander into a 10 Bladed Defense Mode for the battle as Phoebe switched her Ruin Pandemonium into Defense Mode

The bladers took their positions and the battle between the 2 began,

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

The 2 beys were off and Salamander took the center as Ruin Pandemonium came charging in

Phoebe: Now Wind!

Pandemonium's Wind Elemental ravages Salamander with a fierce strike but its 10 blades allowed it to withstand the blow

Michael: It'll take more than that to beat Salamander!

Phoebe: Lightning!!

Pandemonium started to accelerate as its Lightning Elemental began to glow around it

Phoebe: Now send it flying!

Pandemonium sends Salamander reeling but it was still holding on

Michael: It's quite the strong bey but i wont let you defeat me so easily!

Salamander was starting to pick up speed and it was coming right for Pandemonium!

Michael: Nightmare Blaze, end them!

Phoebe: Ruin Break!!

Salamander and Pandemonium clashed with all their might as sparks started to fly and the 2 beys flew out of the stadium at the same time

Phoebe: That was a draw..

Michael: In that case, let's keep going!

The battles continued but each battle ended in draws either by Spin Finish, Over Finish or Burst Finish, both bladers seemed to be equally matched

The 5th Battle was a little different, each and every clash by the 2 beys resulted in Salamander having a bit of its Elemental Power being drained by Pandemonium

Michael: This has gone on too long.. i have to end this now!

Phoebe just smirked as she looked down at her Pandemonium and then back at Michael

Phoebe: Do you still not get it?

The battles continued and this time Pandemonium was draining more and more Elemental Power from Salamander!

Michael was in horror at what he was seeing, his resonance with Salamander was becoming weaker and more faint with each passing battle

The 9th battle was currently underway and things were getting more and more intense

Michael: Nightmare Blaze!!

Salamander slams into Pandemonium and kept attacking with all its might and Pandemonium was taking the blows one right after the other

Michael: This is it! This is how a battle should be!

Phoebe grinned as her aura of darkness began to glow around her and a streak of purple energy radiated off of one of the lenses of her mask

Phoebe: So you still have that much Elemental Power left in you..? Very well then..

Pandemonium was draining more and more of Salamanders Elemental Power and the battle ended with Salamander coming to a stop

Michael: Tch..!

Phoebe: The end draws near brother, i am going to end this once and for all

Michael picked up his bey and stared his sister in the eyes as his eyes began to glow

Michael: This battle is far from over, the real you is in there somewhere.

Phoebe: It's no use brother, the person you knew before is gone, there is only Akuma now..

Phoebe smirked as she picked up her bey too and her masks lenses began to glow

Phoebe: Now why dont you stop holding back and show me more of your power.

Michael just smirked as he looked at his masked sister before changing modes on his bey

Michael: You'd make it too easy for me to beat you, i guess you could say this is like old times.

Phoebe: I dont know what you're talking about, now then.. let's get this battle started!

The 2 bladers took their positions and the battle began

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

The beys were off and Ruin Pandemonium took center stage as Hatred Salamander jumped around the arena in its attack mode

Phoebe: You think thats going to work on Ruin Pandemonium, how foolish!

Michael: Go Salamander! Fly, take to the skies!

Salamander jumps high into the air and it was now right above Pandemonium

Phoebe: What the-?!

Michael: Behold the true power of Salamander! Go!!

Phoebe's dark aura started to glow as her Ultimate Elemental Power began to show itself

Phoebe: You think something like that will work on Pandemonium!?

Michael: Not a doubt in my mind! Now go, Salamander!!

Salamander started to dive back towards the Stadium and it was coming right for Pandemonium

Michael: SCARLET FURY: HELL'S RAINFALL!!!!!

Salamander lands directly on top of Pandemonium with all its might as its 5 blades began to do some damage

Michael: End them, now!

Phoebe: It's no use!

Michael: Say what?!

Pandemonium had taken the attack completely unaffected and it had barely budged

Phoebe: You're a fool if you think an attack like that would work on Pandemonium! Now you're about to feel the wrath of the Ultimate Elemental Bey!!

Michael: Salamander!

Salamander couldnt get away as its Elemental Power was starting to get drained away again

Michael: Salamander, no!

Phoebe: Now, Pandemonium!

Michael: Phoebe! Stop this!!

Pandemonium had completely drained all of Salamanders Elemental Power and it sent it flying!

Michael: T-Tch..!

Phoebe grinned sinisterly as her aura began to become more and more intense

Phoebe: Ruin Break, destroy them!

Pandemonium slams into Salamander with a devastating attack and shatters it into pieces with a single blow

The stadium erupts with a massive burst of energy as it lifted up Michaels hair, revealing his scarred eye

Michael: Salamander..

Ruin Pandemonium took center stage once more as its Ultimate Elemental Power glowed around it

Phoebe: Well you just fed my Elemental Power even more, what did you hope to gain by coming here?

Michael: I thought you would change.. but i guess you're right, the Phoebe i know is long gone..

Michael turned and began to walk away from Phoebe, probably forever

---Later That Evening---

Bell and Ranzo continued training hard as they tried to compose a strategy to beat Pandemonium

Bell: I need a plan that'll beat Pandemonium for sure, i am getting my payback one way or another!

Ranzo: Now that's the spirit, just thinking about it gets me fired up!

Bell: Just you watch Phoebe, im going to send you flying next time we battle!

The 2 heard a voice behind them and it was Michael

Michael: You cannot defeat Phoebe..

Bell and Ranzo spun around to see Michael standing directly behind them

Ranzo: Jeez man dont just sneak up on us like that! You scared me!

Bell: What do you mean i cant defeat Phoebe, i most certainly can.

Michaels face and demeanor was completely dull and emotionless

Michael: You havent a chance in the world..

Bell: What is that supposed to mean? How would you know?

Ranzo: Speaking of which, where have you been all day?

Michael sighed and held out his hand and revealed the destroyed Salamander

Bell: W-What happened to Salamander?!

Ranzo: It's been completely toast!

Michael: This was all Phoebe's doing.. she did this!

Bell: I mean serves you right, you thought you could defeat Phoebe and you paid the price!

Ranzo: Amigo! Have a little symphathy, the man just had his bey destroyed!

Michael: And what makes you think you have any chance against her?

Bell: At least i didnt get destroyed like you did! I will win when i battle her again!

Michael: Whatever you say, it makes no difference to me..

Michael just turned and started to walk away and started to leave

Ranzo: Where are you going?!

Michael: Tell Jiji he can do whatever he wants with my stuff in my room, im done here..

Bell looked a little bit surprised but said nothing as he watched Michael leave into the night

Ranzo: Are you really just gonna let that slide Amigo? I mean he was our best training partner!

Bell: It makes no difference to me, if he thinks i cant beat Phoebe then i'll prove him wrong!

Bell held his bey in his hand, he was confident in himself and he knew he would win next time!
