It was the following morning and Ranzo Kiyama stood outside on the front of the airships deck and he looked out upon the land

Ranzo: Today is finally the day..

Ranzo was confident he was going to win the 1st Stage, he had practiced most of the night for this

About an hour has passed and it was time for the Tournament to begin and Wakiya stood up on the podium with Valt by his side.

Wakiya: Today is the day, this tournament will decide which one of you is the best out of the new gen of bladers!

Bell, Ranzo and Phoebe all stood before Wakiya as they listened to his speech

Wakiya: We're approaching the location of our first legend now, Valt has coached the Legend we'll be meeting shortly.

The airship stopped over the blading district and below, was the Victories Gym.

Wakiya: Before our first guest arrives, i'll take the time to explain the rules.

Wakiya shot a glance at Bell who was quite notorious for breaking the rules, Bell caught the glance and gave a pouty face.

Wakiya: We'll start the tournament with a Battle Royale with all three of you to determine the order of who battles first. The blader that wins will go first, the first to lose will go second and the last one to lose will be third.

Everyone was now a little bit nervous, a win or loss would be all it took to determine their order.

Phoebe: You said there would be a 4th Match in each Round but there's only 3 of us.

Wakiya: A dice will be rolled to decide the 4th Match Blader, the catch is that whoever it is will be the blader to partake in the 4th Battle.

With all the rules in place, it was time to introduce the Legend they would be facing first

Wakiya: Well i kept you waiting long enough, it's time to introduce you to the first Legend.

The door behind them opened and a short boy ran out and stood in front of the 3 bladers

Wakiya: Your first blader is Drum Koryu!

Drum grinned as his face began to flush red as it normally would and he faced Wakiya who took a step back repulsed

Drum: You told me i was gonna battle! Who's my first opponent?!

Bell and the others deadpanned, was this airhead really their opponent?

Bell: He's a legend?

Ranzo: Bell! That's Drum Koryu, he fought against the HELL Organization with the Victories! He literally saved Beyblade!!

Bell: I'll believe it when you show me proof!

Ranzo: are you kidding me right now?

Phoebe had her eyes on Drum and a newfound spark was ignited in her soul.

Phoebe: He's a doofus, an idiot even. But if he's as strong as described.. then this should be interesting.

Wakiya: Listen, you get to battle after the battle royale! Whoever wins that will be your first opponent!

Drum sighs and groans in disagreement and pouted, Bell was quite amused at the Legend

Bell: This ought to be good..

Drum held up his bey which had been evolved to the Dynamite Battle System

Drum: Whichever one of you wins will get to face my new Dragon! This is Gatling Dragon!!

Michaels Spy Probe was in the area and its lenses zoomed in on Dragon.

Michael: Gatling Dragon.. it appears to be an attack type, there seems to be a lot to this bey..

Michael's eyes narrowed with seriousness, he was uncertain Phoebe would even have a chance against the Legend

Wakiya: Well with introductions aside, let's get on with the battle royale!

The bladers stepped up to the new Ultimate Ignite Stadium and took their positions

Computer: Battle Royale!

Ranzo: Bell and Phoebe.. theyve both have gotten so much more powerful, but wait til they see what ive got up my sleeve.

Phoebe: The stamina type Ragnaruk and Attack Type Belial.. i'll deal with Belial first and then Ragnaruk, i'll go with Lightning Pandora.

Bell: Phoebe is definitely coming for me first so i'll focus on her, Ranzo will be next.

Michael saw that Phoebe was using Lightning Pandora and he was a little surprised

Michael: Phoebe.. what are you-?
------
Computer: Ready Set!!

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

The 3 beys were off and Cyclone Ragnaruk had taken the center right off the bat

Ranzo: That's how you do it Ragnaruk, hold down the center!

Lightning Pandora was starting its run

Phoebe: Go for it Pandora!

Pandora was closing the gap between itself and Ragnaruk but it was intercepted by Belial

Bell: You're not getting away that easily! You thought id just let you go?!

Phoebe: Tch..!

The 2 beys were knocked away and Pandora was coming back around for Ragnaruk

Ranzo: Hold the line Ragnaruk!!

Phoebe: Lightning Break! Show no mercy!!

Pandora clashes with Ragnaruk and knocks it into the air

Ranzo: Ragnaruk!

Ragnaruk slams into the wall and lands on the upper deck

Ranzo: Whew!

Pandora was now in the center but not for long as Belial came charging in

Bell: Divine Shoot!!

Belial launched its assault of attacks on Pandora and was doing some major damage

Phoebe: Pandora!

Belial continued its assault as it knocked Pandora further up the stadium and it was coming back down

Bell: Now end this with Divine Bomber!!

Belial slams into Pandora and knocked it into the air with full force

Bell: Yeah alright!

Bells celebration was shortlived as Pandora was diving right for it

Bell: Huh-?

Phoebe: Elemental Spark: Lightning Twist!

Pandora was surrounded by bolts of electricty as it lands on top of Belial and after a brief clash, Belial was burst

Bell's eyes widened in shock as the parts of his bey fell to his feet

Ranzo: Looks like its down to you and me!

Phoebe laughed as her eyes began to glow with a electrifying glow

Phoebe: You think you have a chance against Lightning Pandora? Think again!

Ragnaruk fell from the Upper Deck and reclaimed the center once again and Pandora was circling around it

Ranzo: I'm going to show you the awesome power of Ragnaruk! Let's do this thing!!

Ranzo: Do it! Double Wing Cyclone Grande!!

Ragnaruk's vortex roars to life as instead of winds, it was the mighty flames of the underworld!

Phoebe: Show them our unrivaled Elemental Power! Pandora!!

Pandora slides to the upper deck and it was picking up speed

Valt: Ranzo's really improved since i last saw him battle!

Drum: Oh man i'm getting so fired up!

Michael's eyes narrowed as he watches Pandora glow with its Elemental Spark

Michael: Why would you use Lightning Pandora over Tidal Pandora?

Pandora reached the Ignite Boost and it dove back down into the stadium and headed right for Ragnaruk

Phoebe: End this with Lightning Break!

Phoebe clashed with Ragnaruk with full force as a burst of energy erupted from the stadium

Ranzo: Hold your ground Ragnaruk!

Neither bey were in a position to burst one another, this would come down to a battle of stamina

Ranzo: Ragnaruk!

Phoebe: Pandora!

The 2 beys were knocked back and their stamina had run completely thin

Bell watched as the battle was starting to come to an end

Bell: In a battle of stamina, Ragnaruk has the advantage!

Ragnaruk and Pandora were approaching the center and the first one to fall was Pandora and Ragnaruk was just barely spinning

Phoebe: I-Impossible..

Ranzo: W-We won..!

Computer: The winner of the battle royale is Ranzo Kiyama!

The skies were starting to darken and thunder was starting to rumble

Wakiya: Looks like bad weather is coming.. everyone inside!

Everyone followed Wakiya inside the Airship as it began to rain and the airship lowering to a lower altitude

---Later---

Wakiya: Well the order has been decided, Ranzo will be first, then Bell and lastly Phoebe.

Ranzo: who was decided for the 4th Match?

Wakiya: The 4th match is treated as a second chance battle, if you lose the 1st time then you get a second chance for redemption.

Phoebe: Who was chosen?

Wakiya: Bell.

Bell immediately jumped into the air with celebration

Bell: Alright!

Phoebe: Are you serious?!

Wakiya: Knowing Bell, he's gonna sneak a second battle without me knowing so at least he'll do so without breaking the rules this time.

Bell: I cant help that im the best prankster in the world!

Laughter filled the room and Phoebe frowned and slipped away

---Later---

The storm was over but night had fallen, Phoebe stood outside on the front deck and she stared up at the stars

Phoebe: Pandora.. what can we do now..?

Phoebe looked upon the land in the distance, she could see the Citadel Of Elements' spire peeking through the mountains treeline

Phoebe: I can't believe i did all this.. i should've just ran away.

Phoebe's thoughts were interrupted as Bell came over and stood next to her

Bell: How much longer are you going to stand out here and do nothing?

Phoebe: W-Were you watching me?

Bell: Yeah, watching you do absolutely nothing! You've been standing out here for like an hour now.

Phoebe rolled her eyes and continued to stare up at the stars

Bell: But whatever, you didnt do too bad in the Battle Royale today.

Phoebe looked over at Bell with a surprised look, was Bell actually complimenting her?

Phoebe: Thanks.. i guess. You didnt do too bad yourself.

Bell began to laugh, as he normally did

Bell: Well of course! The Demon King always performs the best when he's preparing for a victory!

Phoebe gave a soft smile as she looked up towards the Night sky, battling for the sake of gathering data, she didnt want this life but she knew what would happen if she left..

Phoebe: I'm sorry Bell..

---Meanwhile---

Michael had went into the Citadel Of Elements to collect additional Data and when he entered the ruins, what he saw amazed him

The Lightning and Water Element Stones were overflowing with their Elemental Auras but there was something else..

Michael: What the..?

The stadium that was there was gone and instead there was what looked like a door in the ground, what surprised Michael even more is that there was green energy that emerged from the opening and travelled through the veins of the ruins to the Element Stones

Michael: Fascinating..

Michael began collecting data and what he eventually found made his heart skip a beat.

Michael: That's impossible..

The bursts of energy travelling throughout the temple was almost as if it was mimicking a heartbeat.. or else, it WAS a heartbeat.

Michael: Phoebe only has 2 Elemental Beys and only mastered one, how is this even possible?!

Deep underground was a room that was seemingly sealed off from the rest of the world and at the center was a pedestal which had a green crystal on it and inside it was a bey and the crystal was pulsating, sending green bursts of energy through the veins of the temple and to the main chamber

Michael: There has to be a mistake.. is Pandemonium trying to awaken already?

There was no mistake, the pulsating energy, the missing stadium, it was all starting to add up, Pandemonium was beginning to awaken

---Later---

Wakiya and Valt were in the main room of the Airship and Wakiya had more info regarding the Citadel

Wakiya: Shu was able to dig up more about the Citadel of Elements here in Japan, what he found was quite interesting.

Valt: What is it?

Wakiya: Well we know the Elemental Beys are very old and predate any bey that uses Bell's Dynamite Battle system or any known bey for that matter. However, new information tells that there is a 5th Bey residing in the temple.

Valt: A 5th Element? What else could it be?

Wakiya: Old legends call it Ruin Pandemonium, it'a referred to as the Harbinger of Chaos.

Valt: Ruin Pandemonium?

Wakiya: There is zero info on it, its appearance, type or anything else however the legend says that Pandemonium could wipe out any bey that stood in its way.

Valt: It must be pretty strong then if it can do all of that.

Wakiya: There's more, it also says that any blader that dares attempt to harness its power will fall under Pandemoniums control..

Valt shuddered at what he just heard, it would've been just like when his friend Shu was corrupted by his bey in the past

Wakiya: And unfortunately some who are corrupted by it are drained of their life force and they.. they die.

Valt: Y-You're kidding..

Wakiya: Stories remixing the legend depict the soul of the bey draining out the energy of its blader until there's nothing left.

Valt: Surely there must be a way to stop this thing.

Wakiya: Pandemonium is said to be the strongest bey to ever exist, its other nickname is "The Ultimate Bey". It's probably extremely difficult to master a bey with unfathomable power.

Valt: Where's Phoebe?

Wakiya: I haven't seen her since after the Battle Royale, its late so i imagine they're all asleep.

---Meanwhile---

Phoebe was in her room on the Airship and she rubbed her thumb across Lightning Pandora, there was a lot to think about

Phoebe: Pandora..

Phoebe's phone began to ring again and she looked over and saw it was her brother and what he had said the day before echoed in her head:

"You and i are meant to be the best bladers this world has ever seen, there is no room for friends in our lives.."

Phoebe: Michael, i'm going to prove to you that friends aren't a waste of time.. you'll see.

Phoebe reached over and hit the decline button and she reached over and grabbed a picture frame.

Phoebe: My life is better because of them..

The picture was her, Bell, Ranzo and Hannah outside the Gates Of Hell: it never failed to make her smile.

Phoebe: You guys mean more to me than they ever will..
