Mohit's POV

I came back to office and wanted to see her. But I could not find her anywhere. She was not with Manu, Sonia or Harry. Where was she?? Maybe she was in the washroom.

I saw Sonia coming my way and I asked her about Srusti. She said that she saw her going out of the office. I was a bit tense to hear that.  I was pacing near the entrance when after about 5 minutes, I saw her coming in.

" Where had you gone?? "

" Just nearby..."

" But why?? "

" Just like that !!"

" What kind of an answer is that Srusti?? "

" Why are you even asking such things?? You said before our paper marriage that you would not ask me anything. I would be able to do whatever I wanted. You would not stop me or even ask anything. Have you forgotten that?? "

What the hell ?? Is she interested in someone?? Did she go to meet him??

" But you should have informed me. "

" First of all, at this time of day,  I am an assistant to Manyata ma'am, so I didn't need to tell you as I was working for her.  Secondly,  it was lunch break, so it was my free time. I don't think, I needed permission to go out during lunch break. "

" Why can't you simply answer me, where did you go? "

" Because it doesn't concern you. "

" I am concerned for you. "

" Why?? "

" We are married to each other. Is this reason good enough?? "  I asked.

" No !! Because it is an open marriage. You said you won't ask me anything. All I just have to do is be your wife for your family and pretend to be in love with you. So none of your family members is here."

Oh, God!! Is she going to throw all my words on my face??

" I know what I said... Just tell me, I was worried for you. "

" Please don't bother yourself for me. I am old enough to take care of myself. As it is once, everything is over, I would have to take care of myself on my own. So it is better that I get used to it. As it is, it does not look good that you are so concerned about your cook. Excuse me, please.  " She said and went inside.

What's wrong with her?? Why is she always being so difficult??

Wrong question... What is wrong with you?? Why are you bothering her?? It's her life. Why are you interfering in her life??

I am not interfering in her life, I was just concerned about her. I am worried about her,  you know how Robin is.  He might hurt her.

Stop worrying about her she can take care of herself.  As it is, why are you so worried about her??

What do you mean by that??  I am worried about her as she is my responsibility. She
is my wife for god's sake.

Only on paper !!!  Did you forget that you got married to her only on paper ??

She didn't want to get married to you but you explain to her that it is only on paper. You promised her that you would never claim any rights over her. You would not touch her when you are alone.

Let me remind you of the terms of your so-called open marriage. You promised that she can do whatever she wanted in her free time and if she ever falls for someone else you would let her go because you can't love her back and she is entitled to have true love in her life.  So just let her go it seems she has found someone. Just let her go.

Are you out of your mind?? I did not have feelings for her at that time.

Sonia asked her to eat food but she said she was too happy to eat anything. 

What was she so happy about ??

Where did she go??  Whom did she meet? She looked very happy. Did she met someone... Special??

I saw her learning about camera, photos and photography from Sonia who had learnt a lot in the past few years.

She was a very dedicated girl. She tried to understand and learn every little thing.

How could I be so stupid about that open marriage idea? I can't let her go...

I saw her working with Harry and Sonia she looked very comfortable.

Then she went to play with kids and looked so pretty smiling at them with so much love. One of the girls pulled her long hair and she was still smiling trying to get her hair out of the baby's fist. 

Even I wanted to rake my fingers in her long and silky locks. I wanted to wrap my fingers around her hair and pull her hair gently to have better access to her sweet mouth.

I was going crazy about her.

Oh my God!! I was literally fantasizing about her.

" ... Mohit???? " I was still lost in her mesmerizing beauty when I heard my name in a higher tone. I turned to see Manu standing there with her hands on her waist.

" Hunh !!! Did you say something?? "

" What is going on?? " She asked with a raised eyebrow.

" What do you mean?? "

" What has happened to you?? You are not the same Mohit, I knew. "  She said looking into my eyes.

" I don't know... "

" Talk to me about it. "  She came near me as if she was trying to read my mind.

" I don't even know what is happening... I was dying to talk to you or Sahil. I did not want to bother you as you were busy with dolls. But I missed you a lot. I even came to meet you a few days back but you both were in Chandigarh at that time. "

"  How could you think like that?? You are my best friend Mohit. You are very important to me. It was my mistake that I was so engrossed in my new life that I could not keep the contact that much. But still, we were just a phone call away. I would have come or at least listened to your problem. Tell me everything..."

She came very close and touched my arm. I just could not control my emotions and I hugged her. She wrapped her arms around my torso and patted me on my back. I felt better with her warm hug and I started speaking.

"  My whole life is changing very fast. I don't even know what is happening..." I was saying when the door opened and I saw Srusti standing there with her eyes and mouth wide open.

What happened to her?? She looked shocked, but why??? 

Srusti's POV

I was playing with the girls when I thought to inform ma'am that they were wide awake. I wanted to ask her if I needed to give anything to eat to them.

But she was in his cabin so I went there and the moment I opened the door, I was shocked.

They were locked in each other's arms. I seemed to freeze there. I knew he loved her but to see them like this was way too much for me.

Just then he saw me and I came back to my senses.

" Oh, I am sorry... I didn't know... I should have knocked. " I said and turned on my heels.

I ran into the washroom before he could utter a single word.
