Mohit's POV

" The whole office is yours, sweetheart,  just order me. I am so excited... And will your handsome husband also come?? I can arrange for him as well. Or he can share my room. " I said to tease her. It had been so long since I teased her.

"  In your dreams !!! Forget it. Don't you dare to think it even in your dreams. I will kill you. "

I laughed and started eating food... It was awesome. It was bad to eat while talking on the phone but I could not stop either of them. I was too hungry and was so happy talking to her.

" You are such a spoilsport, love. " I said to Manu.

" Don't call me love, if sahil gets to know, he would not let me work for you, even though he knows your preference. "

" Well... I do love you...  Preferences do change with time. " I said looking at my sweet angel.

" WHAT?? What do you mean by that?"

" Nothing, Just saying, that it does. "

" No, you were not just saying it. "

" I missed you a lot... I am so happy, you will be back. "  I said still enjoying having food and talking to her.

" Mohit?? Are you ok?? "

" Hmmm... But I need you with me. I missed you. Thank God !! I will have you now. "

" l will always be there for you. So, arrange one room for my kids and my assistant. "

" Sonia?? "

"  No another one, Sonia would be there too. But with kids, I need another one. "

" Yeah, sure... Don't worry... I will arrange it. If you need, you can use my apartment above my studio. You can take a rest there. It's all yours if you want."

Finally Srusti placed a water jag on the table with a thud and went inside her room without looking at me even once.

" Yeah, great idea... Ok, need to go now, see you tomorrow at around 10:30. Bye. "  she said.

" Hmmm... bye see you tomorrow. " I said and disconnected the call. "

Srusti's POV

I was so irritated with him. But why?? What right did I have on him?? Why was I behaving like a jealous and nagging wife?

My soul didn't fail to remind me that I was his wife only on paper. He made it very clear in the beginning...

He was talking to me so nicely but I don't know why I was behaving like that. I just wanted him to talk to me and yet I didn't want to talk to him.

What did I want?? I was going crazy.

His phone was buzzing...

" Excuse me but I need to take this call. "

" Sure sir, you don't need to take my permission for that. You are the master of the house. "  I said and started making chapattis.

Oh God!!!  Can't I talk without sarcasm in it now??

I knew, he was looking at my face, I could feel it. He took the call.

"Hi, Manu !! How are you??...... I was miserable, beautiful, but I am very good to hear your voice. I am missing you a lot. "

Oh, Manu?? Of course, he had to take the call... Beautiful?? He was miserable?? Missing her...

Are you listening Srusti?? My soul poked me.

I didn't want to hear him say all those things to her. So, I turned my back towards him and started working with lightning speed. He sounded so happy.

" What surprise, sweetheart?? You know I love surprises... Why did you cancel it?? .....  Come on now tell me already, I am all ears please tell me... " He said to her.

Sweetheart ?? Hmmm.. are you listening. My soul poked.

I wanted to get away from here so I started serving food on the table. I would serve his food and go to my room.

" What?? Are you kidding me?? When?? Wow !! I love you... What ??? Oh my God !! I may get a heart attack. Call your brother. He is a heart specialist, right?? " he said and started serving food on his plate.

I love you ??? Oh, God !! I had always known that he loved her... But...

And before I could control it, tears started forming in my eyes. I could not take it...

" Bad??? Are you crazy??  It is so good.  I am so happy... I might have a heart attack. I have been dying to have you back. "

What??

A toughened glass lid I was holding in my hand slipped out of my hand.

He wants to have her back... Did you hear that?? My soul said.

Why don't you leave me alone... I have ears and I heard it. Now please go and leave me alone...

I couldn't control and tears started coming out of my eyes.  I was working very fast as I had to go away before I breakdown and make a fool of myself in front of him.

" It is so good !! God !! You know, I love you... How can you even ask that?  I am so excited to meet you......  The whole office is yours, sweetheart,  just order me. I am so excited... And will your handsome husband also come?? I can arrange for him as well. Or he can share my room. " He laughed and started eating food...

I just didn't want to react to anything.

" You are such a spoilsport love....... Well, I do love you. And Preferences do change with time. ..... Nothing, Just saying, that it does. "

But you always preferred her only... I just kept hoping that your preference might change.

"  I missed you a lot... I am so happy, you will be back..... Hmmm... But I need you with me. I missed you. Thank God !! I will have you now. "

Great !!! He would have her now... I am not needed any more... not even as a friend.

" Yeah, sure. Don't worry, I will arrange it. If you need, you can use my apartment above my studio. You can take a rest there. It's all yours if you want. "

Thank God my work was finished...I wanted to be alone.  I placed a water jag on the table and went to my room.

I closed the door and leaned against it. He would not need me anymore. He loved her and was miserable without her.

I buried my face in my hands and cried.

I told you, your heart would break one day... But you didn't pay heed. You should have not married him.

Please just go away... Leave me alone... Have mercy on me... I know you were right and I was wrong. Happy??? I accept it...  Now leave !!

I can't leave you, dear... So please bear with me. I can feel your pain. I know you better than you know yourself.

Please keep quiet...

Ok... As you wish.

There was a knock on the door. I went to the washroom to wash my face.

Mohit's POV

I was so happy after talking to my best friend and eating what she had prepared. The food was amazing it included Paneer pasanda and spicy baby potatoes. She also seemed to have made a cold bean salad.

The food was so amazing and I was very hungry... I had not eaten much since lunch yesterday. That call from robin and then the way, Srusti ran away to her room, I could not eat. 

But where was she ??  I was very hungry So, I knocked on her door, she did not reply so I thought that she was in the washroom.

I started eating again. I could not stop my self, though I wanted to wait for her.

I finished eating but she didn't come out. What happened??

I knocked again but she didn't open the door. So I knocked harder, this time she opened the door but was not looking at me.

" What are you doing?? Come have dinner. "

" No, you go and have, I need to take a shower. " She said and started going away.

" Have food first... I have already eaten. Actually, I was very hungry and when you served the food, I just couldn't resist and served it on my plate.  But it was so delicious that I couldn't help eating one morsel after the other. I thought you would join me as soon as you finished your work, what are you doing?? " 

" No,  I am not hungry. "

" What nonsense !! Come have food. " I caught her hand and pulled her with me.

You might get irritated with Mohit that why is he talking like  this... But he has always been like this. Specially with Manu... And he doesn't know what Srusti thinks about Manu. He is just being his normal self.
