Srusti's POV

" What happened to your hand?? And don't say nothing... " He said examining my hand, it was still swollen.

" I had a slight problem... "

" What type of problem?" he was still inspecting my hand and saw the handprint of that Gagan.

" I went to the market to get some groceries and... "

" And?? Srusti, don't hide anything. Hell, your hand is bruised and you have hand marks on them. " He looked annoyed.

" I was coming out of the mall when... Gagan came and caught my hand tightly. "  I said and his face was already getting red.

" Who is Gagan ?? "

"  My sister's husband. "

" He was there?? What did he do?? " He was so furious now. Tears started pouring out of my eyes.

" Tell me please, I want to kill that man. How dare he touch you?? "  He looked like a raging bull. I told him everything and burst out crying. He took me in his arms and rubbed my back till I stopped sobbing.

" Come with me right now, we are going to his place, I would kill him. "

" No, please wait... Listen to the whole thing. There was a man, he helped me and beat him a lot. "

" Good, now come, I want to do it too. How dare he touch you. " He was pulling me.

" No, please... I don't want to see his face ever again. It disgusts me... Moreover, my sister must be very near to her delivery. Let's not create problems. "

" But I am angry beyond limit now. Come, I have to beat him to death. "

" Let it be, please... " I said but he was furious.  I started crying out of tension. He calmed down and pulled me in his arms again.

I buried my face in his chest and kept crying. He tightened his arms around me.

" I wish, I was with you, I would have killed him then and there. Please stop crying now or I would not be able to stop myself from hunting him down and kill him. " He held my face in his palms and made me look at him. 

I rubbed away my tears with the back of my good hand. He kept looking at me for a few seconds and then he bent a bit and placed his soft and warm lips on mine.

Oh God !!!

I was so stunned that I almost gasped and all of a sudden he captured my lip between his and sucked it. I gulped and he tightened his arms even more leaving no space between us.

Though it was the first time I was being kissed, I liked what he was doing to me and I small sound escaped my mouth which seemed to make him give some kind of green signal and he gave me a soul-shattering kiss.

I was standing there as if I was spellbound. My eyes were closed as if this was a dream, I wanted to be in my dreamland forever.

" Oh, sunshine... You are so simple and pure just like plain water, and I am like a Nomad, who has been wandering in a desert in search of that nectar on earth called water. " He said and kissed me again very hard. I was lost in it. I didn't even know when my arms found their way around his neck.

His arms were holding me to him so tightly that I could even feel his heart beating against my chest.

His phone was buzzing. He broke the kiss very reluctantly but he was still looking into my eyes. His eyes mirrored some different kind of passion and emotion. I was drowning in those very dark and intense eyes.

The phone kept buzzing and then he averted his eyes and looked at the screen of his phone. And just then I saw the expression on his face changing. The romantic, intense look was gone in a fraction of a second as if I had imagined it. As if we never shared those moments just a few minutes ago.

What happened ?? Who was calling??

" Excuse me, I need to take this one. " I was still confused with his behaviour that I did not even say a single word.  He just went out.

After about 10 minutes, he came back with food which was just delivered.

He opened them and served everything for both of us. I just kept looking at him. But he didn't even once look at me again. He kept eating his food without a single word.

What happened to him??

" Are you ok ?? "

" Yes, I am good. Have food.  "  He said without looking at me. I was annoyed with him now.

" I am not very hungry... Thanks a lot. Good night!! " I said and started going away, but he caught my hand.

" I am sorry for what happened. It was wrong, I should not have done that. It would never happen again. Please forgive me. "

" I don't know... It didn't seem to be wrong at that time. But now you made me feel that it was wrong. I don't know if you should have done that or not, but you should not have done this. You should not have done this..." I pulled my hand out of his grip and ran to my room and shut my door.

I was leaning against the door and the tears were pouring out of my eyes.

I loved him... And for the first time, when he was showing his emotions towards me, he had to spoil it by saying all that.

I would have thought that it was a fraction of my imagination. But he apologized for what he did. I was hurt... Very hurt.

He was knocking at the door now but I didn't want to talk to him right now.

" Srusti !! "  He was calling my name while knocking.

" Please leave me alone. "

" No!! Talk to me right now. "

" I don't want to talk to anyone.  Please go away. "

" Srusti, angel please open the door. "

" What did you mean by what you said there? "

" Nothing... Please my head is hurting. Please leave me alone.

" Srusti... At least tell me, what I did that hurt you. I would mend my mistake. "

" Nothing please, leave me alone. I would be fine in the morning. "

It was all my fault. He was never interested in me. I should not have expected anything from him. He doesn't love me. It's not his fault if I love him.

Mohit's POV

" I don't know... It didn't seem to be wrong at that time. But now you made me feel that it was wrong. I don't know if you should have done that or not, but you should not have done this. You should not have done this..." She pulled her hand out of mine, ran to her room and shut the door.

What did happen just now ?? She looked very hurt?? But I just apologized... In fact, she was fine before I apologized and got hurt when I apologized. What does that mean??

I rushed after her and knocked at the door now but she didn't open or react.

" Srusti !! " 

" Please leave me alone. "

" No!! Talk to me right now, pleaseee "

" I don't want to talk to anyone.  Please go away. "

" Srusti, angel please open the door. "
I said but there was no response. 

" What did you mean by what you said there? "

" Nothing... Please my head is hurting. Please leave me alone." 

" Srusti... At least tell me, what I did that hurt you. I would mend my mistake and please take medicine.  "

" Nothing please, leave me alone. I would be fine in the morning. " She said and I stopped bothering her.

What have I done now?? I was just trying to save her from getting hurt.

Flashback

That day when I went to Mumbai, I ended my relationship with Robin. I didn't want to be in that relationship. I wanted more from my partner. I wanted my partner to be with me at all times, be it good or bad.

I knew how Robin was, he was not going to take things that easily. But I had enough of this. I wanted to be happy with my family and my partner.

I wanted to live a cherished and blissful married life with Srusti...

Would she take me as a husband for real?? Would she be mine and make me the happiest person in life??

I didn't want to keep her in dark. I wanted to tell her everything about my life so far and my sexual orientation. But I was scared as hell. What if all this was too much for her to handle.

I was planning of thinking about the best time and best way to make her understand everything. But I was scared as hell... I didn't want to lose her.
