Mohit's POV

Her face lit up and she smiled brightly at them, looked very happy with them. I had not seen her this happy since I met her. She looked beautiful and so sweet smiling like that.

She told them to sit at the dining table and went into the kitchen to get breakfast for them.

" Mamu !! We have a holiday today so we stayed here last night. We had so much fun with Mami. She is cool. I love her. " Viren said.

" I love her too. She told us a few stories and she taught me a song and even made momos for us. " Myra 

" Is it?? "

" Hmmm... She sings so well.  " Viren said with his eyes big as if he was stressing on the point.

Just then she served their breakfast and they jumped to see brownies. She smiled at them lovingly.

I was going to meet my daadi when I saw her coming in with mom. I went and hugged her.

" I am really happy that you found this girl... She is a very sweet and innocent girl. I like her a lot. " She was saying to me when she got breakfast for her as well. She had prepared a special porridge for her.

The doorbell rang and the jeweller had arrived. After we all settled there, he started showing the designs.

I looked at her, she was getting uncomfortable again. What type of girl was she?? She was not excited to see the jewellery?? Girls are crazy about them. She got my best designs and yet she was not very excited.

Was she from another world?? Any girl would have gone excited that they got so many dresses designed by me but she looked uncomfortable.

Mom and daadi selected many pieces but she just didn't show much interest in any of them. She kept saying that she doesn't wear jewellery so there was no need to buy any. But mom and daadi selected many designs. They asked my opinion too and I told them which ones I liked.

Mom told her to wear all of them one by one and see how they look.

She seemed reluctant but when daadi insisted she got ready. She was trying to wear a necklace and was trying to tie it around her long slender neck but could not do it.

Daadi asked me to help her with it and went near her and stood behind her. She looked at me in the mirror and then looked downwards. She was so shy just like a bride, I kind of liked it.

I saw her swan-like neck and somehow wanted to touch it.

The back of my hand caressed her nape a bit and the colour crept in her cheeks slowly. The necklace looked good on her.

" Looks so good, try this one daadi said. I removed the first one and fixed another around her neck. She inhaled quickly as if she was short of breath. She seemed to shy away from my touch.

I think she was uncomfortable with me around her, so I stepped back.  Mom gave me another one to fix it but I said that I had to make a phone call.

I came back after a few minutes. We selected a few designs. Just then Maya joined us. She looked at me with a raised eyebrow and I smiled.

" Hey, Maya you are late you should have come earlier. Mohit proposed Srusti in front of us again. "

" Is it?? "

" Yeah, they are going out on a date as well. " Mom said.

" That is great..." Maya looked at me with a naughty smile.

" We will also go with you, Mami," Myra said hugging Srusti's waist with her tiny arms. "

" What ?? No, you will come home with me now. You have been with her since yesterday. She has to go out with Mamu. " Maya said shaking her head.

" Please... Pretty please... We want to go with Mami... Mamu please." Myra said. Srusti was smiling at her.

" I said no... They have some work. "

" It's ok di, we can take them with us. There is no problem. Isn't it, Mohit j...? " she said looking at me.

" Err... But... "

" That is so sweet of you dear... But I don't want a sulking brother. A sulking Mohit is more difficult to handle than a sulking Myra. " Maya said winking at me. I smiled at her.

" Ok, kids we need to go somewhere today but will take you out for an ice-cream treat first. Go, get ready we will go. " I said.

" What?? Are you crazy Mohit?? Ice-cream in the morning?? No !! Don't spoil them. "

" But what is the problem with ice-cream at this time?? "

" No, not before lunchtime, they are already eating too many sweet things. Not today... You both go out. "

" Mom, please... Mami, tell mom that we didn't give you any trouble. Did we? " Viren asked.

" Right di... I really enjoyed being with them. They didn't trouble me at all. "

" But Srusti, Mohit has taken a day off, especially to be with you. You must go out with him. He wants you to go out with him. It is important to spend time with each other. " Maya suggested her.

" Ji di... "

" Mami... " Myra cried a bit. But before I could say anything she picked her up in her arms and Myra clung to her.

" Ok, listen to me, actually, we need to go somewhere, na baby ?? Mamu has taken a holiday to go there. He will be sad if we don't go. Do you want him to be sad? " She said sweetly to Myra.

Awwww... So cute.

" No... " She replied looking at me.

" Oh God, Myra is such a sweet girl... Thanks sweetu.  How about making cupcakes on your next holiday? "

" Really ?? "

" Yes, I will make the cupcakes and you do the icing. "

" Yeyyyy... I will decorate them. Promise?  " Myra's eyes lit up with excitement.

" Yes dear, promise. But you can't be sad now, ok?? "

" Ok... I will make cupcakes with her, Mamu.  " She smiled at me.

" And I will eat them. " I said with a smile.

" I will also make and eat... " Viren said

" Ok... Ok... Now go and get ready... We are going shopping. " Maya told kids.

" Shopping ?? Seriously, Maya ?? " I raised an eyebrow.

" Yeah, don't look at me like that. Shopping for kids... "

" Ok... " I smiled and shook my head. We all selected jewellery. I knew that Maya was scrutinizing our relationship so I stood very close to Srusti when she tried a few selected pieces again as Maya wanted to see.

I helped Srusti again and I knew she was conscious of me being so close to her. We were standing near a big mirror which was a bit away from all of them.

I saw Maya looking at us. She had already guessed our relationship. I just made up something to convince her at that time, but now she was looking at us.

I could not let Maya see that she was not comfortable with me. I had to make her blush.

I snaked my arm around her waist and pulled her to me. She was shocked at that and her beautiful orbs became even bigger and more beautiful.

Maya saw what I did, then I bent my head and she almost shivered in my arms. I felt something different... Something nice. What was that??

I was still aware of Maya's scrutiny so I whispered near her ear,
" Maya is looking at us, please behave as if we are in love, not strangers. "

" Oh.. ok... B-But how??" She asked with her eyes closed. She looked so sweet and cute.

" Be comfortable in my arms... She doubts that I am lying about the wedding. " I said bending even closer.
My lips brushed against her ear and she gasped. Her reaction was so raw and innocent.

Somehow I wanted to keep standing there like that.

" Please... I don't know... How??   " She was blushing a lot.

But she didn't have to do anything, her red cheeks helped in convincing Maya that everything was normal between us. 

" Mohit, we told you to help her, not to be naughty and make her blush. Leave her you, idiot !!  Srusti, Come here... tell me which ones you like. " Maya said and I glared at her.

Dadi and mom were smiling at us. They seemed so happy.

I loosened my arm around her and she joined them. I kept standing where I was.

Her face was still red and everyone was looking at her blushing face with love and appreciation. I was happy to see all of them happy.

Finally, they selected the jewellery and Maya told her to get ready to go out with me for a lunch.

She nodded and went to her room, I needed to talk to her...  so I followed her.
