Prologue
Aarav, a man in his early 30s, entered his bedroom with a relaxed demeanour. The familiar sound of a voice made him smile. "Ani... tum mere kamre mein?" he asked, his tone playful yet warm.
Anirudh, standing near the bed, gave a faint smile as he approached Aarav. "Haan Aarav, wo darasal ye papers sign karwane the tumse," he said, extending a file towards him. Aarav took the file without a second thought, and when Anirudh handed him a pen, he immediately signed the papers.
Anirudh eyed him with mild disbelief, "Ek baar puch toh lete, kya papers hai?"
Aarav chuckled lightly, closing the file. "Aajse pehle pucha hai kya maine?" he teased.
Anirudh raised an eyebrow, still curious. "Itna vishwas mujhpe kyun?"
Aarav's smile softened, his voice turning sincere. "Tujhpe nahi karunga toh kispe karunga? Ek tu hi toh hai jo mujhe samajhta hai, sambhalta hai." His words were laced with trust and an unspoken bond between the two.
"Lekin Aarav..." Anirudh tried to speak, but Aarav gently grasped his hand, sensing something off. Anirudh looked up, his eyes meeting Aarav's, filled with concern.
"Kuch pareshan lag rahe ho tum... maa ne kuch kaha tumse?" Aarav inquired, his voice gentle but probing.
Anirudh shook his head, brushing off the suggestion. "Unke kehne ka ab bura nahi lagta... aadat hai!" he replied, his voice tinged with a resigned acceptance.
Aarav tapped Anirudh's cheek lightly, trying to coax more out of him. "Toh kya hua? Bata," he urged, his concern deepening.
Anirudh exhaled slowly, his chest rising with the weight of whatever lingered inside him. "Kuch nahi Aarav... aaram karo tum, mujhe kaam hai thoda," he muttered, evading the subject as he picked up the file and made his way towards the exit.
Before he could leave, Aarav called after him, "Ani..."
Anirudh paused, turning around. "Haan?"
"Mera phone nahi mil raha hai, dhundhke doge?" Aarav asked, his tone almost casual, though he seemed to want to delay Anirudh's departure.
Anirudh nodded and began searching for the phone. Dialling Aarav's number from his own, he tracked it to under the bed. "Ye lo," he said, handing the phone back.
Aarav smiled, a boyish grin spreading across his face. "Thank you... acha sun na, mujhe darasal Myra ke liye kuch lena tha. Tum dekhke bata na online kuch," he requested.
Anirudh stared at him for a moment, uncertain. Aarav felt his hesitation and reached out, touching his arm lightly. "Kya hua? Chup kyun ho gaye tum?"
"Main kaise?" Anirudh asked, his voice faltering with reluctance.
"Main kah raha hun na," Aarav reassured, his trust in Anirudh evident.
Anirudh nodded, resigned to helping. He grabbed Aarav's phone and searched for a gift for Myra. After placing the order, he looked up and informed Aarav, "Kar diya hai Aaru... kal tak aa jayega."
Aarav's smile returned. "Bahut tang karta hun na main tumhe?" he asked, his voice laced with affection and slight guilt.
Anirudh, as if to dismiss the thought, patted Aarav's cheek. "Nahi... milta hun tumse baad mein," he said softly.
Aarav nodded as Anirudh left the room.
Once alone, Anirudh walked to the study room, placing the file on the table, the weight of their earlier conversation still lingering in his mind.
Anirudh stood by the study table, lost in thought when suddenly, two familiar arms wrapped around him from behind. He tensed for a moment, then turned slightly, a gentle smile forming on his lips. "Kya kar rahi ho?" he asked, his voice soft yet teasing.
Myra, her face pressed against his back, tugged playfully at the buttons of his shirt. She looked up at him with wide, innocent eyes. "I missed you," she said, her voice a soft murmur as she played with his shirt, a pout on her lips.
Anirudh chuckled softly, tucking a loose strand of her hair behind her ear. "I missed you too..." His words were sincere, though there was a hint of amusement in his eyes.
"Toh mujhe phone kyun nahi kiya? Din bharse intezar karti rahi main tumhare phone ka," she complained, her arms folding across her chest as she pulled back slightly, giving him a mock scowl
Anirudh sighed, knowing where this was going. "Kaam hota hai na mujhe office mein," he explained, trying to sound reasonable, though he couldn't help but smile at her childish grumbling.
She puffed her cheeks and turned away slightly. "Bas kaam hi karo tum... meri toh koi fikar hi nahi hai tumhe," she huffed, crossing her arms tighter, her eyes narrowing with playful frustration.
Anirudh chuckled, stepping closer and bending down a little to meet her eye level. "Aise cute sa gussa tumhe suit nahi karta," he said, his voice teasing and soft. "I know how to make you smile..." His eyes twinkled as he leaned in.
She turned her head stubbornly. "Main nahi manungi," she said, trying to stay firm, but the corners of her lips were betraying her.
Without a word, Anirudh gently pulled her closer, his arm wrapping around her waist. Myra's breath hitched as she looked up at him. The tension between them shifted as her heart began to race. Anirudh closed the distance, his lips meeting hers in a deep, lingering kiss. The warmth of his mouth sent a current of electricity through her body, making her heart pound faster.
Myra, still clinging to her stubbornness, tried to pull away, but Anirudh wasn't letting go. Slowly, her resistance melted away as she responded to the kiss, her arms finding their way around his neck. She gave in, letting her feelings take over, her fingers threading through his hair as the kiss deepened.
Anirudh, sensing her surrender, bit her lower lip playfully, making her moan softly. Taking advantage of the moment, he slipped his tongue inside her mouth, teasing hers in a slow, intimate dance. Their tongues moved against each other, battling for dominance in a passionate exchange that left them both breathless.
Finally, he pulled back, leaving her gasping for air, her chest rising and falling rapidly. Myra's lips were swollen from the intensity of the kiss, her eyes half-lidded as she gazed up at him.
Without a word, Anirudh lifted her effortlessly and placed her on the edge of the study table. She smiled, her earlier frustration forgotten as he leaned in again, this time trailing wet, open-mouthed kisses along her neck. Myra closed her eyes, her body arching in response to the sensation. His kisses became harder, more possessive, as he left small marks on her skin, each one a declaration of his love, a token of his desire.
Myra's earlier anger melted completely, replaced by the warmth of his touch. "Ab chali gayi narazgi tumhari?" he whispered against her neck, his breath hot against her skin.
She couldn't help but smile, though she tried to maintain her playful attitude. "Thodi si baaki hai," she teased, her voice breathy, a playful pout returning to her lips.
Anirudh grinned, his eyes sparkling mischievously. Without warning, he placed his hands around her waist and tickled her lightly. Myra burst into laughter, squirming against him. "Ani... Ani... stop it!" she squealed, slapping his arm lightly, her laughter filling the room.
Just as they were lost in their playful moment, a voice interrupted them, echoing through the study room. "Myra bahu..." The sound of an elderly woman's voice sent a jolt through both of them.
Myra's face fell into a frown, clearly annoyed by the interruption. "Arghh..." she groaned, rolling her eyes dramatically.
Anirudh laughed, stepping back and giving her a gentle nudge. "Jayie," he teased, his laughter barely contained.
She shot him a glare, though her annoyance was more playful than serious. With a huff, she hopped off the table and walked towards the door, casting one last look over her shoulder before disappearing into the hallway.
Once alone, Anirudh let out a deep breath, his smile fading into a more contemplative expression. He straightened his shirt and returned to his work, his mind still lingering on the playful encounter. After some time, he left the study and made his way to the hall, ready to join the family for dinner.
Anirudh made his way to the dining table and took his usual seat beside Aarav. Aarav turned to him with a gentle smile. "Ho gaya saara kaam khatam office ka?" he asked, his voice carrying the warmth of familiarity.
Anirudh nodded, offering a brief "Haa..." In response.
As they settled into their meal, Aarav's mother looked across the table, her gaze resting on both Aarav and Myra. "Aarav, Myra, tum dono ki shaadi ko kaafi din ho gaye hai... ab tum dono ko honeymoon ke liye jaana chahiye. Aarav, bol kaha jayega?" she asked, her tone expectant.
Aarav looked towards his mother, his expression calm. "Maa... mere liye sab jagah ek jaisi hai. Jahan Myra jaana chahe, wahi thik hai," he said, his words reflecting a quiet devotion.
"Thik hai, bahu. Tum decide karke bata dena," Aarav's mother instructed, her voice carrying the weight of a decision passed down.
Myra, who had been quietly listening, nodded slightly, glancing across the table at Anirudh. Her eyes lingered on him for a moment before she looked away.
As dinner concluded, Aarav stood up and stretched slightly. "Myra, kamre mein aaogi toh pani ka jug le aana," he said casually before heading off with his mother to her room.
"Ji," Myra responded dutifully, watching him leave. But as soon as he disappeared from view, her demeanour shifted. She turned towards Anirudh, her eyes narrowed with frustration. "Main bol rahi hun, main kisi honeymoon pe nahi jaane waali hun tumhare iss bhai ke saath, samjhe?" she warned him, her voice sharp, before turning on her heel to leave.
But before she could take a step, Anirudh reached out and gently grabbed her wrist, stopping her in her tracks. A mischievous smile played on his lips as he pulled her closer. "Uske saath nahi," he said, his voice low and teasing, "lekin mere saath toh jaa sakti ho na?"
Myra's frustration melted away in an instant, her face lighting up with excitement. "Sachi?" she asked, her eyes wide with hope and disbelief.
Anirudh nodded, his smile growing. Before he could say anything more, Myra threw her arms around him, hugging him tightly. "Love you," she whispered into his chest, her voice soft but full of affection.
Anirudh smiled, wrapping his arms around her in return. In that moment, the world outside seemed to fade, leaving just the two of them wrapped in their private bubble of affection.
