Something is starting

I feel save. I really do. His arms are wrapped around me, feeling so secure. But when I open my eyes, he is not here. He promised he would be there. Suddenly the door opens and Legolas is standing there. He smiles sadly at me. 'Are you well?'
'Yes, I suppose I am' I smile at hem, trying to act fine because in truth I never felt worse. 'There is a maid to help you dress. Something happened' Legolas explains as I sit up straight. 'What?'
'Two children from a town two days from here'
'And?'
'They were lucky' is all he says as he smiles one last time before a older lady enters. 'See you soon!' Legolas calls out as the door closes.
The woman helps me out of bed and out of my nightgown. She redresses my bandage and helps me into my clothing; A tunic, corset, pants, boots and forearm protectors. The colors are black and green, like the grass what grows here. 'Shall I braid your hair my lady' She asks. I nod as I take the stone of my necklace in my hand. This is from my lineage, a heirloom. But what if I loose it? Someone has to keep it save. To remember me by...
Aragorn. He is always there for me, a friend.. maybe more.
I feel it in my bones; my fae is aching for him.
It is true that my kin have one love for eternity, given to us from the Valar itself. Some have never met their soulmate because they died before they could meet.
But mine, the king of men?

'My lady, you are ready' She says as I clear my head from the daydreaming. I look into the mirror; it is a beautiful braid, it keeps my hair out of my face in a fight. But I doubt if there is going to be any fighting soon.
I leave the room and walk towards the hushed sounds, they become clearer with every step i take. I can hear Éowyn clearly. 'They had no warning. They were unarmed. Now the Wildmen are moving through westfold, burning as they go, every rick, cot and tree' She pleads as I enter the hall. She is standing by a table, where two young children are seated, eating. 'Where's mama?' The little girl calls out as Èowyn hushes her. I nod at her and I walk towards Legolas and Gimli who smile brightly at me. 'Good to see you Lassie' Gimli says and I smile back at him. 'I am happy to see you too' Mithrandir, who was listening to Èowyn and is looking at the children, steps forward to speak to the king. Now I see that there are more men in the Golden hall, or so it is called.
'This is but a taste of the terror that Saruman will unleash. All the more potent for he is driven mad by the fear of Sauron' Mithrandir speaks. 'Ride out and meet him head on. Draw him away from your women and children. You must fight' He urges the king. Aragorn steps toward, but I can't notice that he looks at me and when he sees me looking at him, he smiles. 'You have two thousand good men riding north as we speak. Èomer is loyal to you. His men will return and fight for their king' He says like the true king he is. Théoden stands from his throne. 'They will be three hundred leagues from here by now! Èomer cannot help us. I know what is that you want of me. But I would not bring further death to my people. I will not risk open war'
'Open war is upon you, whether would risk it or not' Aragorn says, trying to hide his irritation. The king walks to Aragorn. 'When last I looked, Théoden, not Aragorn, was king of Rohan' Is he treating Aragorn?
'Then what is the king's decision?' Mithrandir asks him with urgency. I look at Théoden but he already made his decision.
'We shall go to Helms Deep, that fortresses helped us in the past' The king declares. Aragorn turns around without saying anything and we follow him out of the hall. Mithrandir is not amused as we go down the stairs. A horn sound and the man, Legolas told me his name is Háma, walks out of the Golden hall as the people gather around it. I push some out of the way. 'By order of the King, the city must empty. We make for the refuge of Helm's Deep. Do not burden yourself with treasures. Take only what provisions you need'
Gimli huffs irritated; 'Helm's Deep! They flee to the mountains when they should stand and fight. Who will defend them if not their king?'
'He is only doing what he thinks is best for his people. Helm's Deep has saved them in the past' Aragorn says as we enter the stables. 'There is no way out than that of ravine. Théoden is walking into a trap. He thinks he is leading them to safety, but what he'll get is a massacre. Théoden has a strong hold but I fear for him. I fear for the survival of Rohan. He will need you before the end, Aragorn. The people of Rohan will need you. The defenses have to hold' Mithrandir states as we stop by a white horse. 'They will hold' Aragorn tells him as I can hear the determination in his voice. Mithrandir turns to the horse and strokes it's mane. 'The Grey Pilgrim. That is what they used to call me. Three hundred lives of men I've walked this earth and now, I have no time' He mounts the horse and looks at us. 'Good luck. My search will not be in vain. Look to my coming, at first light, on the fifth day. At dawn, look to the East' I nod, we all do. Aragorn releases the reins he was holding. 'Go' and the horse sprints out of the stable.
'We will hold' Aragorn says to the rest of us as his hand slips in mine.
We will hold.
