Chapter Nineteen

Students walks out of their rooms, staring at me as I enter the dormitory with royal prince. All the angst and fear are back all over again. My sense of peace was gone again. When we walk further in, he looks at a girl coming down the main stairs.

"Find Lady Moore and bring her to me." He demands, the girl nods running back up the stairs in fear. I rub my wrists uncomfortably. The more time passes as we stand in the middle of the dormitory the more students appear to see what was going. I keep my gaze down to the floor and avoid eye contact with everyone.

I don't blame them, I've been gone for two days, and they think I got kidnapped by some psycho. At least that's the story my sister went around telling everyone but without the prince's help, she wouldn't have been able to fool everyone. I don't know how the prince managed to trick everyone. But then again, he's a royal, of course they'll believe him. Even if it sounds a little bit absurd.

"Nadeline?" I hear someone gasp. I lift my gaze and find Sera looking at me with wide eyes, wearing her cozy black pajamas. Realizing I'm not alone, she glances towards the prince bowing before looking back at me. He moves away, giving Sera enough space to approach me.

She pushes past the students, grabbing and pulling me into a big hug. "Oh god. We were so worried. Are you okay?" she pulls away, scanning my face.

Before I can answer, loud heels against the floor comes from the stairs above grabbing everyone's attention.

"Go back to bed. This is not some public gathering." Lady Moore yells. When everyone keeps standing she yells even louder. "Now! Everyone single one of you."

All the students disappear, quickly walking away and into the halls, whispering to each other as they do.

"We need to go too." She's been in a bad mood for a while now." Sera urges me.

"Before you go." the prince says, glancing at Sera. "You're not allowed to listen." he orders and Sera nods, stepping away and turns her back on us.

He brushes my hair away from my ear. "Be a good girl and wait for me. We're not done yet." her whispers so quietly that I almost couldn't make out the words. But somehow, I did. I heard every single word. He lets go of my hair and walks away following Lady Moore up the stairs. Did he just call me a good girl? Heat rushes inside my lower abdomen and I blush like a tomato. What's wrong with me? We made out and I didn't even blush this much. So how can I be this affected by a few words?

Taking a deep breath, I walk towards Sera and she follows me to my room. I pull out my room key that the prince gave to me before we arrived in the realm and unlock the door.

"Shouldn't you go to bed?" I ask her to wonder why she followed me to my room in the first place. Lady Moore strictly ordered everyone to go to THEIR room.

"I haven't seen you in two days." she pouts.

I open the door and switch on the light, my room was still a mess, exactly the same way it was when I sneaked out of the window. Stepping inside I hear Sera close the door.

"It's a mess. I'll help you clean."

"No you really don't need to." I protest turning around to face her.

"It'll go faster with two of us. Besides I want to spent time with you. Aster has been more annoying than ever." she groans. "I need some girl time even if it's just the two of us cleaning."

"Fine." I sigh. "You can help me."

Sera claps her hands together and we start cleaning on different sides of the room. Picking up all the things from the floor and putting it back where it belongs. It takes us a few minutes but not as long as it would've been if I had done it alone. I pull open my desk drawer, missing the sight of my sketchbook. While Sera smooths out my bed and put on the pillows I pick up my sketchbook paging through it. I pull my eyebrows together, paging through it one more time. All the sketches of the prince were missing.

"All done. Now both of us can get some sleep" Sera wipes her forehead. "We can talk tomorrow." she smiles softly.

I smile back at her, thanking her for the help and watch her leave my room. Feeling tired, I look down at Elizabeth's clothes. I wonder why Sera didn't ask me about it. It's not exactly the style of clothes vampires wear.

I left without saying goodbye to those two. Everything happened so fast. But at least I wrote a goodbye note and thanked them. As much as appreciate the clothes she gave me I know I'll be more comfortable in my own. I strip out of them, remove the scarf around my neck and slip on some underwear, put on a cozy short and a long sleeved vest.

A few seconds later I hear a knocking sound outside of my window and pull the curtains open. A bat was sitting on the window frame; it's eyes all familiar to me. I'd recognize those eye anywhere. I walk to my door making sure it was locked before opening the window. He quickly flies in and I hear a shuffle behind me as I close the curtains a little bit more. When I turn around he was already transformed into his normal self.

"Are you still hungry?" I ask nervously.

"I don't need to be hungry to want to taste you." he walks towards me.

"What do you need then-?" I stop myself. Only now realizing I've never called him by anything. What do I call him? Your highness? Royal prince?

He tilts my chin upwards. "Call me Aedan. It's my birth name. The one my mother gave me." he orders, his eyes taking a dangerous gleam.

"Aedan?" I ask softly.

He groans, nodding and touch my jaw with his fingertips. "Are you afraid of needles?"

"You're asking me that even though you've fed from me? Fangs are basically needles." I chuckle.

"No it's different." He scoffs, waiting for my answer.

"No I'm not why?" I tilt my head.

He pulls out empty blood bag, a pipe and needle attached to it, showing it to me. I stare at him and the blood bag in shock.

"What's that for?"

"My father demands my presence at the palace tomorrow. Which means I won't be able to feed from you. I want to freeze your blood and suck on them throughout the day."

S-suck? He wants to use my blood as some kind of lollipop?

"I'll be out of control if I can't taste you." he says, closing his eyes and tenses up from the thought.

"I don't think my neck can handle another feeding." I admit.

For some reason it's not healed yet. I wonder why. All of the others has healed before but this one hasn't. Wait didn't the teacher say vampires can't heal? So how did I heal without a spell?

He steps closer and I back away unsure of his intention. My knees hit the edge of the bed and he pushes me down on the matrass, running his fingers down my thigh. My entire body shivers.

"Aedan" I say out of breath.

"I'll do it here then. It tastes sweeter where it's warm." he smirks looking down at my thigh.

I blush, bringing a hand up to my face, looking away. This feels so intimate, I can't hide my body's reaction from his touch.

"I'll be quick." he whispers, his words sounding like a promise. His hand goes higher, stopping at my inner thigh before something sharp pinches into my skin. I jump slightly from the sharp pain and he presses on my thigh keeping it still. I haven't look down yet but the moment I do I see him watching my blood intensely as it flows through the needle and into the blood bag.

Finally, he removes the needle and I let out a sigh of relief. He kisses my thigh, cleaning up the extra blood and I cover my mouth not wanting him to hear the sounds that desperately wanted to escape. I close my thighs, feeling butterflies in my stomach that goes all the way down to my legs.

"Don't." he warns breathlessly. I try to sit up, resting on my elbows behind me to look at him. The white of his eyes were completely black. My throat tightens and I swallow a lump. Every time I see him in this state it scares me. What's he talking about? What am I not supposed to do?

"You being needy isn't helping my self-control. I might devour you, bones and all." he stands up, transforming into a bat and disappears out of the window. I fall back on the bed closing my eyes to calm myself. My lungs hurting from all the deep breaths I've been taking.

I wait a few seconds before sitting up and lift up my short to search for the place the needle poked in. The skin on my inner thigh glistens from where his tongue was and the feeling of his mouth still lingers. I turn my leg to the side.

I can't find the mark, there's no evidence. Did this one heal too?

I touch my neck hissing from the sensitivity. This one is still sore. I stare at the wall trying to think of an explanation. When it suddenly dawns on me. The ones that healed were the ones he licked. I never felt his tongue over my neck after he fed from me in the flat.

Does that mean. His saliva has healing properties?
