I let Daniel in and went to make some coffee.

"What brings you here?" I asked form the kitchen.

"News. Its about King."

I brought to mugs of coffee and some creamer for me and him. "What's the news?"

Daniel took a sip of his black coffee and spoke, "King, he hot wired your bike and took it somewhere. We have no clue where though."

"Okay my bike isn't at King's. I'll find it, but was that worth the trip here?"

Daniel looked at me and then looked away.

"What is it?" I asked in a worried tone. Daniel looked at me and fell even more silent. "Daniel! Tell me!"

I was now hysterical. What had happened that Daniel wasn't telling me?

he then took my hand from across the table and looked me in the eyes. "We suspect he had his eyes set on the picnic area, but he didn't make it. He was driving up airport road when he swerved and wrecked. He's in the hospital and he is okay, but I figured you should know now not tomorrow, especially after the scene at his place."

I was in total shock. Had he been thinking of me like I had when the deer jumped in front of the car earlier that night?

"Thanks you Daniel for telling me. I appreciate it a lot. If that's all I would like to know which hospital he is in." I sipped on my coffee waiting for an answer.

"Do you plan on going to see him?"

"Does it matter?" I questioned Daniel. Had he not want me to go see him? Did he think I would yell at him once he awoke"

"Look they say he might have a concussion and nobody that will set his mind going should be there, and they defiantly said you could not be there tonight. At least in the room. Your aloud in the waiting room but that is all for now."

I looked at Daniel's expression. He looked as if he was sorry that I couldn't see King tonight or anytime soon anyway. "Okay I understand I'll just wait till morning and see if I can go in. So keep your phone on just incase I text or call."

Daniel stood up and headed for the door, "I will and Tavia," He stopped to look back at me. "Don't worry to much. He'll be fine."

"I know and yes I will get some sleep. Goodnight."

Daniel just smiled and went out the door. A minute later I hear his truck start and him drive away.

I then called striker.

"Hello, Tavia?"

"Hey Strike did you hear?"

 "Yeah, I'm on my way over right now I'll see you when I get there."

"Okay doors unlocked see ya in a bit"

Flashback*

"The kiss was I, I don't know Strike"

She looked at me surprised. "Was it like, sparks? Like me when I kissed Aaron?"

"Strike I'm scared. Because it was like that. It was exactly like that. That why I pushed him away and ran out of the party."

"You what? He's going to think you don't love him, When obviously you do."

I looked down and fiddled with the hole in my jeans. "Strike, I already know what he is thinking, and its not that. I know he also felt that spark, and he realized that we love each other."

"How do you know?" I looked at Strike, "Because his face expression when I pushed him away. He was surprised and taken aback."

End of Flashback*

There was a knock then Striker walked in. She had one her pajama pants and a AC/DC shirt on.

She walked over to me and instantly hugged me. I wrapped my arms around her and hugged back. She had been crying. I could feel her wet cheek against mine for the rain had stopped long ago.

"Strike, please go look at the stuff on the table then we'll talk."

She nodded and walked to the table.

She sat down and started to read the letter from King, whom I just found out is now in the hospital.

At one point she covered her mouth then sat down the note. She looked at the promise ring and the roses. We made eye contact.

"How are you Tavia?" She asked me for she knows about the kiss, him saying he loved me, and me telling her that I love him as well.

"I'm still in shock after what Daniel told me. I feel as if it is my fault he's in the hospital. If I hadn't of ran away when he kissed me, or when he said he loved me then maybe he wouldn't be in hospital."
