Change 

It's almost funny how things can change

  -almost-

Like when a delicate flower has bloomed

And later, been crushed by a heavy shoe

At one moment, it was happy

And in another, its life was doomed

But there are other times

When the clouds are darker than the night

And then the sun peeks out from behind

To make everything bright

Brighter that you could've thought possible

But you don't mind

Because if you keep trying,

Beneath the seemingly infinite sadness,

There is happiness you can find.
