2.5 The art of being evil.

Warning: In the last paragraph of this chapter, there is the mention of a sexual act. It lacks many details but is suggestive and might make some readers uncomfortable. This second book is more mature, though eventually, there will be explicit sex details. I will always have a warning like this one, and I will let you guys know what type of warning it is.

"I want to talk to Isabella."

There's a triumphant smirk on my face, just a tiny pouting of my lips and narrowing my eyes. I stand up slowly, walking even more slowly towards my drawer.

I put on low-rise skinny jeans and a crock top. Then, stand in front of Angela, not giving her any room to breathe. The fact that she's still human amuses me. Leo once told me he turns every girl that caught his attention.

"What do you want?" I say with boredom.

Angela stares at Leopold with a betrayed look on her face. I roll my eyes at her; she spends a year with the jerk. She should know better by now. I can see that her love for Leo makes her stupid and blind. Leo spent an entire year with Angela, and she is still human. She was just a warm body to his bed.

"I just saw what you did at school."

I wait for her to keep going, but she waits for me to say something to explain myself. Darkness engulfs my heart, and I welcome it with open arms. Night speaks to me like it does whenever someone gets a reaction out of me and is begging me now for this bitch's heart. I am close to giving in to the desire of ripping her apart.

"Think about your health because I have very little patience than I used to have. I just wanted to ask you; your answer depends on whether you're my next meal. What do you want to talk about?"

The look Angela gives me is full of hate. "I want answers about why you turn the school to this," she snaps at me.

I put a hand on her chin, making sure my nails dig into her flesh to make it painful as I pull her towards me so we can be face to face. "It's only fair if I give you a warning. I am in charge. If you keep running your mouth, I select humans to either become meals or students. I will select you as my next meal."

Angela flushes angrily, and I must admit the color looks lovely on her cheeks. "This was a nice school before you put your claws on it," she snaps at me.

I laugh at the stupid statement she mutters. "You're welcome to find a different school. No one is forcing you to this one," I tell her honestly.

I heard Leo laugh after me, reminding me I was not alone with Angela.

Pity...

"Why did you turn the school into this?" She asks again.

Time to play.

I let go of her and step back. Angela's fingers go to her chin as she rubs it softly.

"I had to... I wasn't shown the way a vampire should behave. I thought this was okay." I smile seductively at her.

"Isa... What happened to you?" It comes out of Angela, barely in a whisper.

Angela desperately tries to hide how fearful she is. There's a control tremor in her voice to a degree. The sweat dripping down her face is lovely, making me lick my lips in anticipation.

"Nothing happened to me, Angela." She steps back, and I let her. "I embraced my destiny. I had to kill the principal when we didn't see eye to eye. She was about to kill me herself."

I can see in her eyes that she believes the lie and wishes the principal killed me.

"After all that trouble you spend trying to save me. I had to turn into a killer. Surely you understand that, right?" I put on my fake Isa tone, making her believe me.

"I was wrong," the disdain in her tone makes me laugh. She takes off running.

I close my eyes with an enormous grin and take a deep breath.

It never fails...

The trail of fear humans leave behind as they try to run away from me. I ran after her. She's fast for a human, so I give her that. She ran to the woods, and I laughed at her as I blocked her path.

Classic human behavior instead of running into the school. Hell, into a dorm room, find someone- It won't save her, but it gives her a better chance than the woods would. Leo is right behind me, and I am unsure if it's to join me or save her.

"Why are you running away from me?" I kept the fake tone. It always worked with Eon whenever I wanted sex with him.

Angela is not buying it. "You looked like you were about to kill me."

I smile proudly at her. "Let me teach you something you didn't learn at the old school. Running away from a predator is the stupidest thing you can do. All that does is turn on the hunting instinct like you did for me."

"So, are you killing me now?" her voice trembles.

"Yes, but I don't want you to think it is because of jealousy. It's not. You happen to say hi on my lunch hour."

Leo laughs, and out of nowhere, he's behind her, pushing her against his muscular chest, hands on her shoulders as he sinks his fangs into her neck.

"Ugh! I hate sharing my food," I turn around and storm back towards the school.

Angela runs and walks right next to me, bleeding from her wound, making me hungry by the second. I stop and turns towards her with a questioning look.

This girl is suicidal.

I'm sure what she sees is pure disbelief.

Did she think I give a damn about her?

That seeing blood on her would make me worry about her?

Was she suicidal, and she wanted me to kill her? Because I would gladly give in to her wishes. I wouldn't make it pleasurable either. She got that from Leo.

"What the fuck do you want now?"

"I just want to ask you a question?" I put a hand on my hips and kept glaring at her. "Are you angry with me?"

"Why on earth would I be mad at you?"

"I move in with Leo," she sounds nervous for a quick second, but I know better.

She's bragging.

Suppose she said this at the beginning of the year. I wouldn't have been able to hide my feelings. There was a point in my life where her words would have hurt me. Now, I just thought she was being pathetic.

"I honestly don't give a fuck who Leo shares his bed with-"

"You told him you love him," she interrupted, and I laughed at her.

"It has been a fucking year. Love fades. Besides, I was ignorant and stupid back then. You'll find I grew up a lot in a year."

"I'm sorry."

I am about to ask her what she's sorry about when she plunges a stake into my chest, missing my heart by mere inches. This bitch just tried to kill me.

"ISA!" Leo screams.

I hiss in pain at the same time backhand slap Angela, making her fly backward until her back hits a tree hard. There's a loud crack-like sound, then she falls to the floor on all fours; she's hurt, but not bad enough. Leo is next to me as I take the stake out of my chest and walk towards Angela slowly. She has lost consciousness. I lift the stake, about to return the favor, and plunge the stake in her chest when Leo grabs the wrist holding the stake, stopping me with a gentleness I dislike.

"Let me deal with her," Leo pleads.

"NO!" I growl. "This bitch just try to kill me, if I let that slide. Every human at the school will think it's open season-"

"The old Isa wouldn't get mad at me-" Angela groans.

Angela sounds weak and on the verge of losing consciousness. I need to make something clear, and I need her awake when I do. I take the stake from Leopold grasp and plunge it right into her leg, making it break through the other side. Angela's eyes snap wide awake as she lets out a gurgle, awful scream.

Leo takes a tentative step towards me but does nothing.

Smart.

"You and Leopold are under some asumption that I give a damn." I grab her arm and pull her towards me. "Let me make something really clear." I twist it on a natural way, making her scream in pain. Leo puts a hand on my waist and pulls me back. I am about to fight him off but just push him away from me. "Don't go to school. I will kill you," I warn.

I walk towards her again with Leopold on my heels. I take the stake out of her leg, making her cry in pain again, and lick the blood off it as Angela watches with wide eyes.

"Think about it, won't you?" I stand up straight and wink at her. I keep on liking the stake for effect as I walk away. "Oh, and Angela?" They both stare at me with questioning looks. "The old Isa would have stayed away from Leo for your sake. If you keep trying every nerve in my body, I will fuck him and make you watch," I giggle.

"Someone angered you," he says as soon as I walked in the bar.

I give my bartender a smirk and throw the stupid stake in the trash bin. He serves me a two-shot, which I gulp at the same time.

"Leopold's slut follows him back to school, and she just tried to kill me."

His eyes concern him as he stares at me with a pale complexion, inspecting my body, not in a sexy way, but looking for a trace of hurt. "Are you ok?" He whispers breathlessly as if he was the one that got stabbed.

"Yeah, she missed my heart but learned quickly not to do that again."

"Did you kill her?"

"Nope. But I made sure she regretted it," I smirk, and he served me more vodka. I gulped it down, laughing.

I wouldn't say I like the sudden smile on Marcus's face. "So what now? I figured with the love of your life back-" his tone is full of hope.

A low growl rumbles in my throat. "It's been a fucking year, Marcus. That guy stopped being the love of my life the moment he walked out of my life-"

Marcus stares at me with a knowing look. "Look. At the risk of your anger." I hiss at him loud and clear, giving him a warning. "Don't forget I was here—that night. I saw you. That pain doesn't go away; it might. But not in a day and definitely would last longer than a year."

"I just got over him that fast-" my bartender knows better.

"A love like the one you felt doesn't die in a day, Isabella." I stand up, feeling bored. The bartender ran over and stopped in front of me. "Isabella." I let a low warning growl at him. Even if darkness rules my heart, I would never hurt Marcus. I have hurt him before; I wouldn't kill him, though. He was there when no one else was. He's the only human I would die for.

Thinking like that made the old me happy. As if I was getting ready to let her go, so she and Marcus need to learn a lesson.

"Don't waste your breath. It's useless,"

He sighs and steps back. "It was worth a shot," he says sadly.

"You know what's worth a shot?" I say with a grin on my face. "That mouth of yours-"

"Isabella, I don't-"

I put a hand behind his neck and pull him towards me.

I can see it.

His eyes were concerned, so I stared at him until his eyes glazed. "You will forget the worry you have for me." I wait until the frown turns into a smile. "Good boy." I smile. "Now, Marcus, you want to give me oral sex, don't stop until I tell you to."

Marcus gets on his knees as I unbutton my jeans, letting Marcus slide them off along with my panties. And just like that. We are into better and more enjoyable things...
