Jimin knew Taehyung like the back of his hand. Their friendship wasn't just friendship. It was a bond stronger than love. While Jungkook and Taehyung had a bond which their friends called Twinflames, Jimin and Taehyung's bond was that of soulmates. Platonic of course.

Love comes in many forms. Family love, romantic love, friendship love. What Jimin and Taehyung shared went way beyond that. They were each other's safe haven. To put it simply.

Their friendship began like an ordinary friendship. Just like everyone else. Jimin had just started school at Seoul Arts High School. He was a shy person. Not so easily able to socialise. While many will call him charming and sociable now, back then, he was a shy and scared boy who had just gotten a taste of the Seoul air.

When he first came to Seoul to live with his aunt, he was sent to Seoul Arts to continue his studies. There, he met Taehyung, the social butterfly. Taehyung approached him and immediately befriended him.

He even went on to ask all his other friends to be friends with Jimin. At that time, Jimin thought that maybe, Taehyung was like that with everyone else. That he was just doing Jimin a favour.

His opinion changed when an angry Taehyung went off at his other friends for not including Jimin in their conversation. It wasn't the other people's fault though. Jimin was shy and thus, he couldn't really bring himself to communicate. When Taehyung understood the situation, he apologized to his other friends ofcourse, but he also started to spend time with Jimin and Jimin only.

That was the beginning of their wonderful friendship. Taehyung understood Jimin from day 1 and he never pushed Jimin to do something that he wasn't comfortable with. Jimin was the same with Taehyung and together, they became each other's anchor.

Right now, Jimin knew something was very wrong with his soulmate. Taehyung was all smiles but the smiles was fake.

That much Jimin could tell. His soulmates eye's held sadness and his usual bubbly and quirky personality was somewhat missing.

Jimin knew that Taehyung won't open up so easily. Over the years, he has learn to handle this type of Taehyung very gently. Taehyung was usually like an open book. For most people anyway.

But little did anyone know, that Taehyung was complex like a math equation. He was such a good actor that if Jimin didn't share that special bond with his bestfriend, he would have believed the facade that the younger was putting right now.

What exactly is wrong? Jimin couldn't help but ponder on that. Taehyung had turned down all invitations to mingle with all his friends, going as far as to say that he was very busy with his company issues right now.

But Jimin was also very smart. He had enquired with Taehyung's personal secretary if the work load was really too much, to which the answer was a definite no.

The company was going smoothly, there wasn't any workload right now and Taehyung was lying. It was simple as that.

Jimin stepped out of the elevator and walked towards his bestfriend's office, nodding his head at the secretary in acknowledgement.

The secretary never stopped him from entering Taehyung's office because Taehyung had himself told her to let all of his hyungs and Jungkook in, anytime they come to visit.

Opening the door, he saw Taehyung lift up his head to look at him, jimin couldn't help but feel a chill at how his best friend looked.

Black circles underneath his eyes, face gloomy and no hint of that everlasting glow that Taehyung always had.

He looked like a corpse and Jimin was extremely worried now.

'Chim', Taehyung's voice bought Jimin out of his thoughts and he quickly made his way to Taehyung's desk.

'Tae', he said as he took the younger into his embrace.

Taehyung held him tightly, his eyes shutting as he tried to control his emotions but it was of no use.

Jimin was always his safe haven and right now, he couldn't help but let all the emotions out. All that he had bottled up. He knew Jimin won't judge him. He knew Jimin won't even question him. For Jimin always knew when he had to just hold the younger, and when he just had to listen.

Taehyung cried until he couldn't anymore, and Jimin, he was no better. Seeing his soulmate cry his heart out, he couldn't help but feel tears rolling down his cheeks as well.

The pain that Jimin felt at that moment was something he never wished to feel again. He couldn't see Taehyung hurting. He couldn't see Taehyung like this.

There were only a handful of times that Taehyung had cried in their friendship. One was when he had found out that Jin wasn't his real brother, the second time had been because of pressure from his family to ace his exams and the third time had been when he and Jin had to choose which company they were going to take. Taehyung had been so scared to lose his brother over all this inheritance bullshit. He had cried thinking the inheritance would drive him and Jin apart. But that obviously didn't happen.

Right now though, the type of sobs that left Taehyung's chest, Jimin knew that it was something big and something worse.

It had taken some time for Taehyung to finally gather himself. Jimin had taken up a seat in front of the desk and patiently waited for Taehyung to say something.

Taehyung knew he could never hide anything from Jimin and he didn't want to worry his bestfriend.

But he also knew that if Jimin found out about how Jungkook had hidden such a big thing from him, he would go berserk at the younger.

So the question was on how to handle the situation without possibly endangering Jungkook's life.

An angry Jimin is a dangerous Jimin.

'Chim.', He spoke up after a while, finally gathering enough courage.

Jimin just stared at him, not saying a word.

'I- I'm sorry for pushing you away for the past week.'

Jimin sighed. That wasn't a big deal for him honestly. He was just happy that he came when he did because the younger looked like he was dying.

'You know thats the least of my worries right now Tae. I just need to make sure that you are okay.'

Taehyung bit his lips.

'Yeah. I'm okay now. You are here so I'm okay.'

Jimin smiled at that. 'Want to tell me what's bothering you?'

'Yeah', came the response. 'But, promise me something. Promise me that you won't go berserk and you won't do anything to anyone.'

Jimin huffed. Ofcourse, only Kim Taehyung would be bothered about other people's safety at a moment like this. Jimin was sure he wasn't that bad. Like come on, he wasn't going to kill someone. He thinks atleast.

'Fine. I promise.'

Taheyung took out his pinky for the younger to link his with. He knew that Jimin will never break a pinky promise, something they both have done for a long time. Jimin linked his pinky with Taehyung's and smiled.

'Jungkook is engaged. Has been for a year', he finally said, his voice as low as a whisper.

Jimin blinked. That was definitely not what he was expecting. He knew how Taehyung felt about situations like this. Taehyung hated cheaters. It was as simple as that. It wasn't because Taehyung had ever been cheated on. No. It was because Jimin had gone through something like this in his college years.

'What? How come we all didn't know? Did- did Jin hyung know?', Jimin asks after a few seconds of silence.

Taehyung nods. He could see how furious Jimin looked at that moment. He was honestly thankful for making that promise.

'Tae', Jimin finally spoke. 'You didn't know. I know you are feeling guilty but you didn't know. Jungkook hid this from you. Even from us. You didn't know'

The way Taehyung's expression changed, Jimin knew he had hit the right spot. His friend was feeling guilty for sleeping with a taken man. But it wasn't his fault. Taehyung would never touch someone else's man.

'I- I can't help it Chim. Fuck. I just... I dont know how to feel right now. I'm angry at myself for doing something that I didn't even know was wrong. And I'm heartbroken because I feel like Jungkook played with me. I'm heartbroken because the man I love belongs to someone else. I ju- just don't know how to feel,' Taehyung's voice cracked.

Jimin couldn't help but feel for his bestfriend. He knew the guilt must be eating at Taehyung but he also knows it isn't his fault.

'No Tae. Listen to me baby. It isn't you fault. No matter what, it isn't. I know you are hurting. Hurting because your heart is broken is okay but don't blame yourself for something that you didn't know.'

Taehyung nodded, he felt some form of relief at hearing that from Jimin. He needed someone to tell him that it wasn't his fault. Someone to reassure him that he wasn't guilty.

'What should I do then Jimin'

'Take a break. You need to go away for a while. Get your feelings sorted. The more you pile yourself with work, the more suffocated you will feel because of those feelings.' Jimin answered, his voice soft, like he was talking to a baby.

Taehyung couldn't help but agree with Jimin. Yes. He needed a break. From everything.

Maybe this break can mend his broken heart which was sinking down with guilt which shouldn't even be there in the first place.

He need to go away.

Taehyung made a decision there and then.
