In all the years of his life, Jimin has never seen Taehyung being nervous and jittery.  Kim Taehyung was always confident. That man oozed confidence.

And yet, sitting on the bed while looking at his mess of a bestfriend, Jimin couldn't help but sigh. What a sight to see, the great Kim Taehyung being nervous like a school girl going on a first date.

The younger was pacing on the floor, trying to calm his nerves which obviously wasn't working.

Taehyung was, well, scared. He was scared of hoping for too much and getting his heart broken.

Yes. Jungkook had asked him to go out but was it really a date or a friendly hangout, he didn't know. And that in itself made him nervous and scared. The uncertainty.

As if on cue to stop his pacing, the front doorbell rang and Taehyung stopped breathing.

Jimin, who was still sitting down, stood up slowly and walked towards him, placing his hand on his shoulders.

'Breathe Tae', he softly spoke,' breathe. It will be okay. Don't worry. It's just Jungkook. Think of him like you always thought. The best friend. The guy who has a bunny smile and the starry eyes. Its just jungkook. Your jungkookie.'

That seemed to do the trick as Taehyung slowly nodded and went to answer the door, though he suddenly stopped and looked back at his bestfriend.

'You will be here when I come back right?'

Jimin smiled. 'Ofcourse. I'll be waiting right here for you with open arms and ice cream just incase'

There was no way Jimin wasn't going to be here. After all that Taehyung has done for him, he was going to be here for his bestfriend. No matter what.

Taehyung nodded and took a deep breathe, walking to the door and opening it slowly, only to find Jungkook smiling at him with that damn bunny smile.

'Hey. Are you ready?', the younger asked, his voice soft.

Taehyung nodded as he checked if he had his wallet and keys, and then stepped outside.

The drive wasn't that long. The two talked a little, sharing stories of their day.

The car stopped at a Korean BBQ place which Taehyung had never visited.

'I remembered you saying you wanted to eat Korean BBQ today, so thought why not', Jungkook spoke, holding out his hand for Taehyung to take.

Taehyung slowly put his hand in Jungkook's, a tiny speck of red spreading through his face.

They entered the BBQ place and ordered.

If anyone saw those two, they would have assumed it was two bestfriends or lovers who were out for a meal. The previous nervousness had disappeared now that the younger was with him, only familiarity and comfort was present.

Though, bestfriends never behave like that. Atleast the lack of space.

Jungkook was constantly touching Taehyung and Taehyung welcomed the touch with much glee.

They had always been comfortable with each other. From the start, they had a very different bond, a bond which didn't place any boundaries on skinship.

Even though Jimin was Taehyung's bestfriend, even he didn't have the same pleasure of skinship with Taehyung, for Taehyung didn't like unnecessary touching.

But with Jungkook, it had always been welcomed.

Today however, the skinship was a little different. It was more intimate.

The dinner came to an end and Jungkook asked Taehyung if he would like to go to a place with him.

Taehyung, ofcourse said yes.

The younger took Taehyung to a park which was facing a lake. It looked enchanting. The way the water sparkled from the moonlight. The breathe of soft wind made it even more relaxing.

Jungkook faced the water, looking slightly up towards the sky.

'Its beautiful isn't it? The way the moon makes all the stars seem so dull and yet, its because of the moon that they shine so bright', Jungkook broke the silence, his starry eyes taking in the night sky.

Taehyung looked at the younger with wonder. In that park, all Taehyung could find beautiful was Jungkook. The way the younger's skin shined and face glowed, he looked like an angel.

'Yeah. It sure is', he replied, turning to face the night sky as well.

'I used to come here with my mother when she was well. Ever since she got sick, I haven't been here much. This place makes me happy', Jungkook whispered slowly.

Taehyung turned to look at the younger again. He could see the pain in his eyes. The younger's mother had a stroke 2 years ago. Ever since than, she was unable to walk, always staying in a wheel chair.

'Thank you for bringing me here. This is a special place for you so thank you for sharing it with me', he replied, his voice sincere.

This time, Jungkook smiled. That beautiful bunny smile.

'You are just making this special place more special Tae. So thank you for coming with me'

Taehyung was speechless. He didn't know how to respond to that so he just smiled and hummed.

The air was getting chilly so they decided to go home.

Jungkook walked Taehyung to his door. As they reached, Taehyung turned to face Jungkook.

'Thank you for taking me out Kook. I had fun today'

Jungkook smiled as he took one of Taehyung's hands.

'I'm glad you enjoyed yourself Tae. I had a lot of fun too'

Taehyung blushed at the way the younger was lightly stroking his hand.

Suddenly Jungkook leaned in and pecked his lips. It was so sudden that Taehyung didn't have the time to react.

'I'll see you soon Tae. Hopefully for a second date if you agree. Goodnight'

As Jungkook walked back to his car, Taehyung was still kind of frozen on the spot.

Date? Did jungkook really say date?'

Looking at the car again, Taehyung realized that Jungkook was waiting for him to go inside the house. The younger always made sure that Tae had gotten inside before he left.

It was endearing all the time but today, today Taehyung felt extra special.

As soon as Taehyung closed the door, he heard a loud squeal and the words,:

'I fucking saw that kiss. You better tell me everything bitch '

Yep. His best friend was gonna interrogate the shit out of him.
