An hour within the next morning the four arrive in Dycele.

Joseph: "(in a trance) You really do know how to cook Jason."

Jason: "(cocky) Yep. I'm even self taught."

Jack: "(excited) I'm about to get the second Rune down!"

Jason: "(puzzled) I never did ask about what Runes are."

Jack: "(smiling) Basically you alter the flow of your blood to resonate with special symbols called Runes and there are currently 14."

Eryth: "Jack is going to check with all 14 masters on the Runes called Sages to one day find the 15th Rune."

Joseph: "He only has Rune #11 mastered, which is Light. We're here for Rune #8 Earth."

Jason: "(in head) Looks like Jake isn't the only one who can fuck with nature."

The four explore the town, finding pottery shops at every turn, almost like a maze, as they arrive at a house similar to the Light Sage's in Lio.

Joseph: "There is no way that this isn't where the Earth Sage lives and is definitely not another pottery shop!"

Eryth: "Is the entire economy running off pottery?!"

Jack knocks on the door.

Jack: "(smiling) We'll be fine."

The door opens, revealing a man... covered in clay.

Man: "Who are you children?"

Joseph: "Uh..."

Jack: "(smiling) I'm the chosen."

The man falls backwards.

Man: "H-How is this true."

Eryth: "Because I am here. I'm the emissary."

Man "T-Then please come in. You and your friends."

The four walk inside to find a massive collection of pottery.

Jason: "(in awe) Holy shit..."

Earth Sage: "Well you arrived here at the Earth Sage."

Jack: "(smiling) Awesome!"

Earth Sage: "Can you explain your current goals?"

Jason: "No problem."

Jason explains how Jack is here to master the Earth Rune and how he and Joseph are along for the ride.

Earth Sage: "So I shall be the second Rune the chosen masters..."

Jack: "(smiling) I'm ready when you are."

Jack pulls out a staff.

Earth Sage: "(panicking) L-Let's n-not do this here! Let's go outside."

Everyone leaves as Jack and the Sage ready for combat.

Jack: "(smiling) Don't hold back!"

The Sage has a brown light form in his hands as a similar light forms at the base of Jack's staff.

Earth Sage: "The same goes for you."

The two sends chunks of rock at each other, cancelling each others attacks.

Jason: "Just wait until I find Jake. He may not be able to manipulate as much, but he can do a lot with what he has."

Eryth: "Jason, what are these other descendants like?"

Jason has a diabolical look on his face.

Jason: "Well, Jake is socially insecure, Jay is laid-back and calm, and Jade is serious about her goals."

Joseph: "Seems like... an interesting group of people."

Jack had managed to get close during the conversation and lands a good hit with the Earth Rune, sending the Sage back a few feet and cracking a rib or two.

Earth Sage: "(in pain) I'm gonna feel that one tomorrow."

Jack: "(smiling) Now I hope you don't mind me finishing this?"

Jack begins charging the brown light more as the Sage gets his bearings.

Jason: "(curious) How many Runes are there again?"

Eryth: "Fourteen, soon to be fifteen."

Earth Sage: "I won't go down so easy!"

The Sage begins to do the same.

Sage/ Jack: "Rune #8 Earth!"

The two send boulders toward each other that keep colliding midair.

Jack: "(smiling) Sorry, you lose!"

Jack's boulders begin to appear faster and hit harder.

Earth Sage: "(in head) How is this possible?!"

Jack overpowers the Sage and injures him.

Jack: "(smiling) I win."

Jack finds that he hit the Sage with a bit more force than he expected.

Jack: "(smiling) I'll help that!"

A green light appears in Jack's hands when he gets up to him.

Jack: "Rune #2 Life!"

The light begins to heal the ribs and cuts.

Jason: "Good to know that Jake isn't the only one who can heal."

The Sage stands up.

Earth Sage: "Even I didn't know that one could produce that much energy in a single Rune."

Jack: "(blushing) Thanks."

Eryth gets back onto Jack's shoulder.

Eryth: "That looked easy Jack."

Jack: "(laughing) Because it was."

Earth Sage: "That was quite interesting Jack."

The sun begins to set.

Joseph: "We really must've been searching for your place for a while..."

Earth Sage: "You all can spend the night here. I don't mind."

Jack: "(excited) All right!"

Jason: "I'll cook."

Earth Sage: "If you say so..."

They all crash for the night...
