Narrator: "C-137, now known as Jack Yeweys had been taken care of by the Sage of Light for months. Jack had started to have his hair combed backwards, allowing it to become slightly raised above his head, his attire consisted of a navy blue jacket, yellow T-shirt, tan cargo shorts, along with navy blue sneakers with yellow laces. Jack had quickly mastered how to channel Rune energy through his hands, tomes, staves, and special charms called artifacts."

Current day Jack...

Light Sage: "You've mastered all forms of channeling in a short amount of time Jack!"

Jack: "(smiling, laughing) Thanks!"

Joseph: "Uh oh..."

Eryth: "What Joseph?"

Light Sage: "Now your time to master all 14 Runes has come."

Jack: "(smiling) But you only know Rune #11 Light."

The sage readies his battle stance.

Light Sage: "Defeat me in combat, only using the Light Rune!"

Jack pulls out a tome hanging from his side.

Jack: "(smiling) Fine by me!"

Joseph pulls out two pairs of sunglasses from his side pocket.

Joseph: "You might want to put these on Eryth."

Eryth struggles to put on the sunglasses.

Eryth: "(bluntly) I understand why, but is Jack really able to beat a Sage at this point?"

Joseph: "He has a chance."

The sage sends out a blast of light from his right hand.

Jack: "(smiling) Too easy!"

Jack quickly closes his eyes and counters with his own light that overpowers the other.

Joseph: "(covering eyes) Yep, that is way too bright!"

Eryth: "(covering eyes) I don't want to go blind!"

The sage swiftly gets behind Jack.

Light Sage: "(in head) Forgot to keep your guard up."

As the sage attempts to bash Jack with a staff, he ducks and does a low sweep that sends the sage onto his butt.

Jack: "(smiling) No I didn't."

Jack's tome opens up as light begins flowing into his palm.

Light Sage: "Do you think it's over?"

The sage attempts to hit Jack with several short bursts of light, but Jack dodges all but one or two without losing his focus.

Jack: "Rune #11..."

Eryth: "(panicking) Look away and cover your eyes!"

Joseph: "(panicking) Good plan!"

The other two look away as the light in Jack's hand grows beyond bright.

Light Sage: "This is beyond what I thought was possible!"

Jack releases the light as it blinds the entire room.

Jack: "Light!"

The sage is dazed and is unable to react.

Jack: "(smiling) I win!"

Jack does a little tap as the sage falls to his defeat.

Joseph: "(blinking like crazy) That shit was bright!"

Eryth: "(also blinking like crazy) and we weren't even looking!"

Jack: "(laughing) That was fun!"

The sage shakily stands up.

Light Sage: "(dizzy) That was quite impressive Jack! Now I know that you are ready!"

Eryth: "What do you mean by ready?"

Light Sage: "It is time for Jack to seek out the other 13 sages and master the remaining 13 Runes."

Jack: "(smiling) So I get to go on a crazy adventure?"

Light Sage: "(laughing) Of course Jack! You can leave whenever you wish!"

Jack: "(excited) I'm so excited I can't even wait! I'll go now!"

Jack rushes to the door.

Eryth: "Wait for me!"

Eryth jumps onto Jack's shoulder.

Jack: "(smiling) This'll be great!"

Jack and Eryth leave the front door.

Joseph: "Um, master?"

Light Sage: "Yes Joseph?'

Joseph: "(nervously) C-Can I..."

Light Sage: "Hm?"

Joseph snaps out of his nervous state, since he knows he won't get a second chance.

Joseph: "(determined) Can I go to with Jack?!"

Light Sage: "I'd thought you'd say that..."

The sage gives Joseph his weapons.

Light Sage: "Go. You will further improve as you experience more unique situations."

Joseph: "T-Thank you master!"

Joseph rushes out of the door.

Joseph: "Jack! Eryth!"

Jack slows down.

Jack: "Huh?"

Joseph: "I'm going with you!"

Eryth: "What about your training?!"

Joseph: "Master says that my training can progress as I broaden my horizons."

Jack: "(beyond excited) Alright!"

The three rush outside Lio with only the clothes on their back and their limited outside knowledge.

Jack: "(excited) We'll first need to handle the seven Rune Sages on the mainland and then get to the others by boat!"

Joseph: "The nearest city is Dycele. It's directly on this path and that's where the Earth Rune Sage is."

Eryth: "Seems like a good start..."

The three set off...
