The next day Jack awakens.

Jack: "(yawning) Morning."

Eryth: "It's actually noon."

Jack gets up from the bed.

Jack: "(puzzled) The Sage house?"

Eryth: "We figured you'd wake up today, so the Blood and Wind Sages are waiting downstairs ready for your test."

Jack: "(smiling) Well I'm raring to go!"

Jack rushes out the door and meets the two Sages.

Blood Sage: "Shall we, chosen?'

Jack readies his staff as Eryth jumps off.

Jack: "(excited) Hit me with everything you've got!"

The Sages ready artifacts.

Wind Sage: "Now try no to hit too hard."

Jack immediately starts with a blast of wind.

Jack: "(excited) Does anyone mind if I try something?"

Jack has his aura again.

Eryth: "Are you seriously going to have yourself pass out again?!"

The symbol appears in his eye.

Blood Sage: "Are you using the 15th Rune?!"

Jack: "Nope."

Jack's staff has a blood red light.

Jack: "Just producing more energy than usual."

Eryth: "That actually makes sense."

Wind Sage: "Then how can you focus such power with this?"

Jack is flung into the air, spinning like crazy before falling onto the ground and losing his aura.

Jack: "(dizzy) Oh god... as if!"

Jack has the crimson light.

Jack: "(dizzy) Rune #14 Blood!"

Jack stabilizes his body and cures himself of dizziness."

Jack: "(smiling) Rune #9 Wind."

Jack summons another blast of wind that slams the Sages into the wall and finishing the battle.

Jack: "(smiling) I win."

Eryth: "He's getting better and better with Rune usage."

Jack heals their wounds.

Blood Sage: "That went by faster than we expected."

Jack notices Joseph and the others are nowhere to be seen.

Jack: "(confused) Where's Joseph and the others?"

Wind Sage: "We're actually going straight to Clockwork Island."

Blood Sage: "The Sage meeting is in four days and we should might as well take the chosen with us to get the Soul Sage and one step closer to mastering all of the Runes."

Eryth hops onto Jack's shoulder.

Jack: "(excited) Sweet!"

Blood Sage: "We'll head over as soon as you're ready."

Jack: "I should pick up some medicine in case I can't heal."

Jack does a quick trip to town and buys some medicine.

Jack: "There we go."

Jack returns.

Jack: "Now let's go!"

They arrive at a boat a half you later. It's big enough for everyone to fit luckily.

Joseph: "Well good to see you up and moving Jack!"

Jack: "(smiling) Better than ever!"

Jay: "So how do you move this thing?"

The Wind Sage causes a gust of wind.

Wind Sage: "You use the Wind Rune to get the sail and this wheel going."

Jack makes the wind blow harder.

Jade: "(nauseous) Let's just hurry up."

They set sail to Clockwork Island.

Jason: "(thinking) The Soul Sage is a contender for the traitor..."
