"Inez, I want all the details about it." Betty says at lunch the next day.

Inez blows and pops the bubble gum in her mouth. "Are you sure? It's going to suck." She says looking up from her phone.

"Yes." Betty says. She had switched her home room that morning and loved her new teacher.

"Okay then. I only know a little of what happened, so you're going to have to ask James or Augusta for the rest." Inez says.

"That's fine. I'll text you later about it." Betty says. She gets up to leave, but Inez interrupts her.

"You have my number?" She says surprised.

"Of course. You texted me this summer remember?" Betty says getting up for real this time and puts her earbuds in. She opens up her phone and starts playing her favorite country playlist. She walks out of the cafeteria and goes into the library for some new books.

Betty- Hi! Is now a good time to chat?

Inez- Now works fine, but I only have 30 minutes

Betty- Ok! So I guess how did you find out?

Inez- um... I remember going to a party early in the summer maybe a week after school started and I saw them kissing. At the beginning I thought maybe she was just drunk and being stupid. But then I saw the same thing happen at 3 different parties. And I know at one she was definitely not drunk.

Betty- WOW

Inez- ya

Betty- so James said the girl was Augusta

Inez- ya

Betty- who is she? Can I have details?

Inez- she is the opposite of you

Inez- likes pop and romance

Inez- has had a few boyfriends

Betty- ok

Inez- Np TTYL!

Betty- TTYL!

"Dorothea met me at the tattoo shop in 20 minutes. We are going to get tattoos." Betty says.

"WHAT!?!?! Betty doesn't do this just because you are upset about James." Dorothea says.

"I'm not. I've been wanting a tattoo, so I am finally getting one! What is wrong with that? Now get up because I will be at your house in 20 minutes." Betty says.

"Fine." Dorothea says grumbling.

"Yay!" Betty says. "See you soon!" Betty hangs up and gets ready.

20 minutes later Betty is waiting in front of Dorothea's house. She knows not to go into the house. The one time she did Dorothea's father seemed very angry. Not even a second later Dorothea came out.

"Coming!" She yelled. She ran over and got into the car. "Ready?"

"Of course!" Betty said. Not even five minutes later they arrived. "What are you going to get?"

"I think a TPWK tattoo." Dorothea says.

"Nice! I am going to get a tattoo that says 'I Love You To The Moon And To Saturn'." Betty says.

2 hours later

"Let me see your tattoo Betty." Dorothea says. Betty unwraps her arm. "Ooh I love it!"

"Let me see yours!" Betty says. Dorothea shows Betty her wrist. "Yours is awesome too!"

"Thanks!" Dorothea says. "It'll hurt like hell though tomorrow."

"Yup." Betty says. "Do you want to go to the mall? I need new clothes for school."

"Sure!" Dorothea says. "I need a new computer too." They make small talk until they get to the mall. "Let's go to the tech shop first." Dorothea says.

"That works. I need a new phone anyway." Betty says. They walk over to the shop and enter.

20 minutes later they leave with Dorothea's new computer and Betty's new phone. "Clothes next!" Betty says cheerily.

50 minutes later

"That was so fun!" Betty says. "Although my mom is gonna be mad that I basically maxed out the credit card."

"I'm sure it'll be fine. You haven't been this happy since... well you know..." Dorothea says.

"Ya." Betty says suddenly sad. "Do you want to stop by the record store? I need some new music!"

"Sure! You are my ride after all." Dorothea says jokingly.

"Haha." Betty says. They put their things in the trunk and walk a few feet to the record store.

"What music do you want?" Dorothea says.

"I'm not sure. Any suggestions? I was thinking of parting ways with country." Betty say surprising herself and Dorothea.

"Oh! Well One Direction, Taylor Swift. Most of the music these days are awful." Dorothea says.

"Oh. Ok." Betty says.

"Oh! Louis Tomlinson!" Dorothea says remembers snapping her fingers.

"Ok!" Betty says. "I have enough money for 2 cds." She picks up the CD that says Walls by Louis Tomlinson and 1989 by Taylor Swift.

She walks over to the checkout and checks out using her own money. They leave and walk over to the car. "Let's put on the new music!" Betty says. She inserted the Walls album. The song that comes on is Always You. Betty starts to tear up over the song.

Dorothea curses under her breath and pats Betty's back. "It's ok Betty. Your gonna be fine."
