Childhood
Destin grew up rich and in the inner circle per  say. He however was humble about his riches and actually liked to keep to himself. His family and Serena's were close so they hung out quite often. Though they didn't like each other very much. He showed interest in the arts very young and kept that with him throughout his life.

Teenage
Since Destin wasn't really the outgoing type he retreated to his studies. He was known as the smart kid and graduated with high honors. This was also around the time he came out to his parents. His parents accepted him full heartedly but knew the press would damn him if he came out. So they faked „Ming's" Death and had Destin introduced a year later as his family's black sheep aunt's son.

Adulthood
Destin keeps his culture very close with him. Nordic and Chinese traditions are kept along with him. With his grades it wasn't hard for Destin to get into a good school and major in Business with a linguistics minor. He is mostly buried into his work though he will say that he knows he got big fast. He didn't get to where he is without hard work however. He fears it all being ruined by being outed by Gossip Girl however.
