Bending
He can water bend though he keeps that skill under wraps. He doesn't really like to show it off or practice it as much as Katara. Just wasn't something he was interested or liked to do. He did get a handle on it enough to use it in healing. Was a expert in that sub field of the art.

Non-Bending
Benji preferred the hand to hand combat way of fighting a lot more. He had more of the Sokka desire of wanting to become a warrior. He is great with physical combat despite his small stature. He is also great with knives/daggers and fans due to the similarities. He is not so good with swords since they seem to get too big for him to handle with the grace he likes.

Defining features
Benji has scars on his back and arms mostly from combat training mishaps. Some are pretty narly but he keeps them covered up for the most part. Not wanting to make others uncomfortable. Benji also likes to break tradition. His hair is more in the style of how fire nation would. He is frowned upon for this by the tribe but he always stands his ground.

Other outfits
Benji like the others throughout their travels gained the fashion sense of each place of designation. He keeps his necklace, and something fur on at all times. Though he keeps his outfits bulky not wanting anybody to know biologically he is female.
