Bible's P.O.V:

I went to look for herbs as fast as I could.

Apo was clinging to the window sill hunched a bit as his face contorted in pain.

I started working immediately.

But before I could reach him again his grip on the window sill loosened and he fell forward and out of the window.

The bowl dropped from my hands and I screamed in despair.

I fell to my knees and started crying.

Then I noticed something.

I wiped away my tears and looked at one of the trees at the window.

Wik was dangling from a tree looking at me.

I put my hand out and he flew over to me.

He stopped on my shoulder and I patted his head.

But then I got an idea.

That spell is forbidden and rarely works but that was the perfect time to use it.

I took out a small knife and made a big cut on my finger then sucked some of my blood and spat it out on a bowl.

Then rushed over to Apo's blood on the floor and dipped my hand in it to get as much of it as I could.

I poured it into the bowl that had my blood using some water to clear my hand off of it.

Then poured some of the mixture on the scroll and let Wik drink the rest.

After he was done drinking I took off my shoes and started making as many cuts as I could on my feet.

Then made a small cut on Wik's chest.

He screeched in pain and flapped his wings wildly.

I took some of his blood and put it in a bowl then used my magic to force his wound shut.

He fainted after that.

I started drawing symbols with the blood pouring out of my feet then carefully picked Wik and placed him in the middle of the circle and slammed my hands together.

"I sacrifice half of my remaining years and my sanity to change the fate of this animal's soul...In its next life I wish for him to be born as a human" I said.

My blood which was on the floor started turning into black.

Then Wik's eyes snapped open and he started screeching louder then before.

"I sacrifice the sanity of my next life to make Wik remember his past life and everything he saw" I continued.

Then clutched my chest in pain.

"And I sacrifice half of Wik's life to give him a special gift in his next life...A gift similar to the one me and Apo had" I said.

My blood disappeared into the floor and Wik stopped screeching.

I wrote down everything that has happened in the bewitched scrolls along with every single spell I knew.

Then folded them to make them as small as possible before securing them with robes.

I made another cut on my forearm and poured my blood over Wik's and made him drink them.

"Now...You have to take those scrolls and fly...As faraway as you can get...Never come back here" I said.

Then tied the scrolls to his feet and secured them to his wings to make sure they don't fall.

I picked him up and walked over to the window.

"Fly and never come back" I said.

He flew out of the window.

I turned to the mess in the room and started cleaning up.

"What about you?" Narin asked.

I turned to her.

"If you listen to me carefully you'll live a perfect life" I said.

Then walked over to her.

"You want to help right?" I asked.

She nodded.

"Don't tell anyone about the spell I just cast not even after I die" I said.

She looked at the floor and started crying.

"I'm sorry I wasn't of help" She said as she wiped at her tears.

I smiled and ruffled her hair.

"You're a good person Narin...I'm sure Apo considered you a sister he never had" I said smiling.

She continued crying though so I patted her shoulder.

(Later that night)

Bible's P.O.V:

I noticed that Mile was on his way to the palace.

Narin went to the water pond surrounding the palace and started screaming as loud as she could.

Pete ran over to her.

I moved away from the window but noticed something shining through the darkness between the trees.

Wik...He's still here.

I went to my desk and sat down.

Pete's P.O.V:

I went to see what was going on and saw that the screaming voice was one of the girl servants.

She was crying and screaming at the same time as she looked at something floating on the water.

It was dark so I couldn't see anything but the sun was almost up.

I walked over to the water and could see that the thing floating on the water was a man's body.

I started crying when I recognised the person's face.

More servants and gaurds started coming.

I was supposed to keep an eye on him.

It's my fault.

I wiped away my tears and turned to the servant girl I heard earlier who was still crying.

"Go to his highness...And tell him what happened" I said in the calmest voice I could manage.

Then turned to the gaurds I led.

"Look around and see if we have any intruders here...If so then...Protect the royal family at all costs" I said.

They nodded and left.

(Meanwhile)

Mile's P.O.V:

I was on my way back to the palace after my hunting trip was successful.

When I arrived though a servant girl ran over to me.

"Your highness...You must come quickly" She said.

She looked so panicked so I got off my horse and rushed after her.

I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the body floating on the surface of the water of the fish lake that surrounded my garden.

I walked through the water ignoring the servants who were asking me to stay calm.

"Why are you in the water?" I asked Apo.

His eyes were closed and his lips were white.

It was almost sunset.

"Apo...Wake up" I said.

I shook him repeatedly trying to wake him up but he didn't respond.

I felt tears coming to my eyes.

Only last night he was laughing with me as he showed me one of his magic tricks.

"Your highness...He's dead" Pete said.

I shook my head and started crying.

"Stop playing around and wake up already...You idiot...Wake up...Apo" I said as I hugged him close to me.

Pete started patting my shoulder.

I picked Apo's corpse on my back and walked out of the water.

Then layed him down on the ground.

"Find who did this...Find that person whoever they are...And bring them to me" I said angrily.

Pete nodded.

I looked at Apo one last time and wiped away my tears.

I went to my room after that.

Another servant ran over to me.

"Your highness...The king...He's dead" The servant said.

I frowned.

"But how? Bible said that his health was improving" I said.

I went over to my father and saw that he had blood on his mouth as he layed in bed lifelessly.

There was another physician in the room with him.

"Your highness" He said then bowed politely as soon as he saw me.

I nodded so he stood straight.

"He was poisoned your highness...I did a thorough check on him and found out that he has been drinking poisoned tea for two years now" The physician said.

"Have him buried secretly and hand over his cremated remnants to the monk at the mountain temple" I said.

"And what of the sorcerer?" He asked.

I didn't give it much thought.

"Cermate him and keep his shrine in my room" I said.

"Yes your grace" He said.

Then left the room.

Pete walked over to me after that and bowed politely.

"Your grace...There was no sign of intrusion" He said.

"You had one task...I told you to protect him" I said angrily.

Pete looked at the floor and nodded in apology.

I grabbed his collar.

"Do you realise what you did?" I asked.

"Don't take your anger out on him" Bible interrupted.

Then grabbed my arms and shoved me away from Pete.

"Acknowledge the reality that it was all your doing" Bible said angrily.

"Stay out of this Bible this has nothing..." I started.

But my eyes widened when I was cut off by a strong pain in my cheek.

Bible punched me again.

He grabbed my collar and yanked me closer to him before punching me another time.

"Of all the stupid people I've known in my entire eighteen years of life...You're the most stupid" He said.

Then punched me again.

I grabbed his collar and raised a fist to punch him but he moved out of the way and punched me again.

Then took out his dagger and raised it to my neck as he glared at me angrily.

"It wasn't Pete's fault that he died it was yours...You idiot...You stupid swine...How many more should die because of your stupidity?" He asked.

I grabbed his collar.

"How dare you?" I snapped.

Pete's P.O.V:

I looked at the prince and the young master as they glared at each other angrily.

It's the first time I've seen young master Bible this angry.

But at the same time I was too scared to step in and stop them from fighting.

Young master Bible kicked prince Mile's leg and prince Mile punched him in the face so young master Bible grabbed his collar and threw him to the floor.

The prince stood up and took out his sword.

Young master Bible moved out of the way and punched the prince again.

Then pushed him to the wall and pressed his dagger to the prince's neck.

"I'm really disappointed in you Mile...Such a shame" Young master Bible said.

Then stepped back and walk away from the prince.

I bowed to him politely when he passed my way.

(Later that night)

Bible's P.O.V:

I went to find Narin.

"You have to leave now...I want you to guard something...The only living being that knows what really happened do you understand?" I asked her.

She frowned.

I looked at the trees.

"No one will suspect it if a servant suddenly disappears...So it has to be you" I said.

Then took out my dagger.

"You must be careful do you understand?" I asked.

She nodded and I handed my dagger to her.

"There's a horse waiting for you in the garden...As soon as you are out of the kingdom safely...Kill the horse keeper and never come back Narin" I said.

"I understand" She said.

Then clutched the dagger and Wik flew over to her and stopped on her shoulder.

He looked at me briefly then Narin left.

(A week later)

Nook's P.O.V:

I looked at the cremated remnants angrily before tossing them to the floor and stepping on them.

"Look who's laughing now you disgusting sorcerer" I said.

Then spat on the ashes.

Their was a knock on the door.

"Come in" I said.

"Your grace" The head of servants said politely.

The queen of Siam...Finally this throne is mine.

"Everything is ready" She said.

I nodded.

And made my way to Mile's room.

"Your grace...I'm sorry to interrupt your mourning but the head of servants has some important information" I said.

Mile didn't turn to us.

"Your grace...Some of the servants who tended to his grace the previous king confirmed that young master Bible purposefully put poison in the king's tea daily...Apo found out and threatened him so young master Bible killed him" The head of servants said.

"I'm sorry my king but you need to get rid of that serpent...I won't wait until he kills you and takes your throne" I said.

Mile stood up and left the room.

Pete's P.O.V:

I went to talk to the princess about what the guards found but when I walked into the room I saw Apo's ashes on the floor.

I went to pick them up and put them back but my eyes widened in shock and horror and I screamed in fear.

There was a black serpent amidst the ashes.

And...

It slithered angrily.
