Apo's P.O.V:

It has been three years since me and Mile decided to keep this secret agreement.

Since then we spent almost every night together.

It was strange at first but now I was starting to get used to having him around all the time.

He appointed me as the servant responsible for cleaning his room and taking care of his personal needs so no one questioned it.

But it was still scary that someday a random servant would walk in and see us...

I was in the servant quarters working like usual when a girl servant said that the prince was looking for me.

I went to meet him in his room.

"I'm going on a hunting trip do you want to come with me?" He asked.

I nodded.

"It's been long since I've been out of the palace" I said.

"Good then go get your stuff we're leaving now" He said.

I nodded.

Then left the room.

I heard a commotion outside so I looked out of the window to see what was going on.

I saw a royal procession passing through the city and walking to the palace.

I didn't have to guess what that was.

So I went back to Mile's room.

"Are you trying to avoid the princess by going on a hunting trip?" I asked.

"No I'm not" He said.

"The procession is my hallucination then?" I asked.

"Aren't you going to help me at all?" He asked.

I raised an eyebrow.

"How am I supposed to help you?" I asked.

Then folded my arms over my chest.

"You're not expecting me to use my magic now are you?" I asked.

"Yes...That's precisely it" He said.

I turned to leave the room without saying anything else.

"Wait" He said.

Then grabbed my wrist.

"I'm sorry...But I just don't want to get married that's all" He said.

I sighed heavily and nodded.

"Please Apo...You don't want me to get married too right?" He asked.

"Fine...Let's just hope they don't get badly hurt" I said.

"You're going to do it?" He asked excitedly.

I smiled and nodded.

"I said I'll be crazy didn't I? Unfortunately that includes indulging all your whims" I said.

He hugged me.

"Thank you...Thank you so much" He said.

Then pecked my lips before pulling away quickly.

I closed my eyes and slammed my palms together then started chanting the spell.

The procession stopped after a while.

Mile's P.O.V:

I looked out of the window and saw the elephants of the procession unable to move.

The riders tried to move them to no avail.

I chuckled and shook my head then turned to Apo who was still focusing on his spell.

But frowned in confusion when he started sweating heavily then his nose started bleeding.

"Apo?" I tried.

He shook his head and closed his eyes tightly.

"APO" I yelled.

Then rushed over to him and tried to put my hands on his shoulders but I was slammed back to the wall immediately.

I stood up immediately and noticed that my cheek had a cut on it.

The air started getting hotter as I felt my breath coming out ragged.

I grabbed the bow and arrows from the wall and used the last of my strength to fire an arrow at him.

The arrow passed through the barrier and Apo opened his eyes and caught the arrow with his bare hand.

One of his eyes was black so I guessed that he used too much magic.

He raised a hand and I felt the air bending my arm so that my hand was gripping my throat.

I managed to resist when he clutched his head with his other hand and screamed in pain.

Then fell unconscious on the floor.

And everything was back to normal.

I stood up and rushed over to his side and flipped him to face me.

His nose had blood on it and he was as cold as a piece of ice.

"SOMEONE HELP" I screamed.

Two other servants rushed in immediately.

"Your highness are you alright?" One of them asked.

"I'm alright but he's not...Call Bible here now" I ordered.

Bible walked into my room hurriedly and knelt down by Apo's side.

I nodded at the other servants to leave.

"What happened?" Bible asked as he inspected Apo.

"It's my fault...I told him to use it...He didn't want to do it at first...It's all my fault" I said in tears.

Bible's P.O.V:

I started checking Apo's vitals then turned to Mile.

"Help me move him to the study" I said in the calmest voice I could manage.

He nodded then grabbed Apo's legs and I grabbed his arms then we carefully carried him to the study.

I told Mile to lay him down on the bed and started working on some herbs.

"What happened?" Mile asked.

"His heart is unstable and his body temperature is dropping dangerously...I don't know the exact reason but I'll do my best" I said.

Then tilted Apo's head back and started pouring the medication in his mouth.

"Keep his head tilted back until I'm done" I said.

He nodded and grabbed Apo's head.

I went to the supplies I had and started making an ointment.

After some time I was done and went back to them.

"Take off his clothes" I said.

"What?" Mile asked.

"Take off his clothes...Everything" I said again.

Then started working on removing his shirt.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"Mile we have to take off his clothes so that I can put the ointment on him hurry up" I said angrily.

He started removing his pants.

Then I started rubbing the ointment on his arms and legs first then his chest and face until he was completely covered.

"What kind of medicine is that?" Mile asked.

After sometime I was done.

"Then what?" He asked.

I covered Apo with towels and opened the window that was closest to his bed.

"We don't have enough heat to help warm him up so we should let the sun do it's work" I said.

He nodded.

"I'll tell you when his temperature starts getting back to normal...You can leave now" I said.

"I'm not..." He started.

"This...Was all your fault...Don't fool yourself got that?" I asked angrily.

He nodded and walked over to the other bed and sat down.

I sighed heavily and rubbed my temples then decided to just study.

(Later that night)

Mile's P.O.V:

I woke up to someone shaking my shoulder so I opened my eyes and saw Pete.

"Your highness...The king is looking for you" He said.

I nodded and stood up.

"Your grace?" I asked.

"The procession...Why didn't you go see your fiancee?" He asked.

"My friend fainted and almost died...I had to make sure that he'll be ok" I said.

"Your friend or your fiancee?" He asked.

"With all due respect your grace...But princess Nook was well received in the palace...I'm sure she was unharmed...But my friend suddenly fainted and I couldn't just do nothing" I said.

Then looked up at him.

"You taught me that a good king takes care of his people...My people took care of the princess but one of my people needed my help" I said.

My father sighed heavily and nodded.

"Go apologise to the princess and explain the situation to her" He said.

I nodded and turned to leave.

"Mile" He said.

"Yes?" I asked.

"I expect you to spend the night with her tonight...After all...You're to be married soon" He said.

I walked out of the room without saying anything.

Then princess Nook came to greet me.

"Your highness" She said smiling.

I nodded absentmindedly.

"It's nice to have you here" I said.

Then walked past her and headed to the study.

Apo must have woke up by now.
