You stirred, yawning a little. Lifting your head, you looked up. Judging by how high the sun was, the time was about noon.
Shinso was still sitting next to you. He had his AirPods in, so you tapped his shoulder. "Hitoshi. How long have I been asleep?"
He took one bud out. "A couple hours."
"Seriously?" You gasped. "I missed so many classes!"
Shinso scrolled through his playlists, chuckling. "Yeah, all the teachers are gonna be disillusioned about that good girl act you put on."
"It's not put on!" You huffed.
He smirked at you, looking up from his phone. "Don't lie to me, (Y/n). I know how much you love breaking rules. Especially since your obsession with forbidden love started."
"I've never broken a rule in my life," you countered. "I merely happen to think rule breaking is romantic! And doesn't it sound like it would be?" You looked dreamily up at the sky. "Sneaking around at night because neither of us can sleep... Skipping school to be together..."
Shinso looked back down at his phone, snickering. "Breaking into other peoples' houses to pet their cats... Yeah, I can really see the charm."
"You're awful!" You exclaimed. You stood and grabbed your bag, turning away from him.
"See you later, bad little girl!" Shinso called after you. You kept walking, the sound you made somewhere between a laugh and a sigh. You slid your embroidered bag up onto your shoulder and began to think.
What to do with my newfound free time? Library? Ooh, maybe Todoroki will be there!
"Library it is!" Your voice chirped.
Funny though it may seem, it sounded like the warbling of a young songbird who hasn't yet learned the right notes.

You walked into the library, immediately glancing around for Todoroki.
He's not here. You slumped in disappointment. Oh well, how about I do some homework then?
You plonked your bag down on a seat and sat down in front of one of the computers. Before beginning work, you decided to get your meme fix for the day. Powering the old thing on, you brought up Google.
"Aw, what?" The screen displayed an error message. "What the heck..." You slid down in your seat and moped. "Stupid fogie computer, it can't even Google right." You closed your eyes and rubbed them, stretching your legs under the desk.
"Hey, what's wrong?" You tilted your head and saw Jiro standing behind you. "You look depressed or something."
You smiled. "I'm alright. It's the computer that's all wack." You gestured to it with one hand. Jiro pulled up a chair and slid the mouse out of your hand gently. For a minute all you heard were clicking sounds as you waited patiently.
"Here's the problem," Jiro nudged you. "It wasn't connected to the internet."
You blinked at the screen. "Oh."
Jiro giggled. You turned sharply. She shook with silent laughter as you fumed at her. "Sorry, sorry... I didn't mean to..." she took a deep breath and wiped a tear from her eye.
"Well, it's set up for you now. Need any more help?" Jiro asked warmly.
"No, thanks," you shook your head. "I think I'll be good from now on."
"K." She stretched, gave you a wave, and walked off. As you looked after her, you noticed the back of her T-shirt had a group photo of the rock band Human Energy.
"Hey Jiro!" You called after her. She looked over her shoulder. "But I'm only humaaaaan!" You sang in your screechy singing voice. She looked shocked for a moment and then broke into an adorably wide smile. She sang with you. "And I bleed when I fall down!"
You belted out the chorus with gusto.

"That was so worth getting kicked out over!" Jiro's smile had stayed the same since your bonding moment in the library.
You smiled. "So worth it."
"Oh hey, it's Midoriya!" You whirled around at her words. Sure enough, there he was. Someone else was with him, but you couldn't see his face.
You ran up to him, tapping his shoulder. Jiro followed behind.
"Deku!" You exclaimed. He almost jumped out of his skin.
"(Y-y/n)! Don't scare me like that!" He stuttered slightly, and you smiled at him.
"Sorry, sorry. Couldn't help myself," you giggled. "Hey, are classes over for the day? My internal clock is off by one nap."
"The last class was two hours ago," he explained.
Silence.
"...Aizawa is gonna kill me."
"I wish I had your napping abilities, (Y/n)." He put his hand to the back of his neck sheepishly.
You shook your head. "You don't want them."
"Oh, but I do!" He nodded excitedly. "I've researched your quirk thoroughly from training sessions, and your ability to sleep for so long might be connected to it! Furthermore, the part of your brain that's catlike..."
You raised your eyebrows at Jiro. It didn't seem like he would be done anytime soon. Then, amidst that very ordinary scene of schoolchildren talking in a circle, something extraordinary happened.
Someone coughed softly behind Midoriya.
He snapped out of it, looking up at the boy's face. "Sorry!" He turned and faced us.
"(Y/n), Jiro..." he moved aside, and you saw who was with him for the first time.
"Meet Todoroki."
