------------------------------------------------------

It was difficult to detect what appeared to be so comfortable. It could be the light soft jazz music that surrounded the shop, but the aroma of coffee felt most passive. The mixture of these two made this Coffee Shop suitable to study in. With finals approaching, stress has approached me. It made me fear the possibilities of not passing. They were frightening thoughts, therefore, I found myself at tranquil in this shop. The Coffee Shop distracted me from the pressure of the finals and brought me in a pleasant place where to study. I've been coming here recently ordering the same drink, an Earl Grey Tea with a Cinnamon roll on the side. Briefly nipping on my dessert as I studied felt nice. However, today I felt quite distracted from my studies. For I kept on having this strange vibe that someone is watching me. It was odd and scary.

My lips pressed on the tip of the warm tea. Sipping away the hot liquid down my throat I turned the page of my Calculus book. I listened to the educational video displayed on my laptop as I skimmed through the thick book. Occasionally, I would pause the video and work a problem out. My fingers wrapped the pencil as my wrist swiftly moved. The lead of the pencil pressed on paper created a series of equations. The same equations I fumbled in class. I bit on eraser part wondering how the hell I would solve this confusion of numbers.

Without thinking, my eyes steadily glance ahead. I flinched back and glared somewhere else. For some barista eyed me awkwardly. I made an effort on focusing on the jumble of numbers scattered on my notebook however, I felt the barista's eyes on me. From the quick glances, I have concluded that the barista is slightly tanner than I. He appears to have hawk-like eyes, however, they look so sweetly when he stares at me. His shaggy hair complimented the drinks which he served. A soft brown blended perfectly with his smile. I ceased glimpsing at him once I noticed how beautiful he was. It was an odd feeling, especially how heated my face was. Almost like I was being stared by a cutie!

Brushing that thought away, I continued my studies. Peeking at the corner of my computer was 7:32 PM. Wow, have I been daydreaming this whole entire time! Guilt arose with the lack of studying. "Damn but if it wasn't for that hot barista staring at me!" I cursed at myself. Collecting my belongings as well as my earlier drink, I stood up. I walked towards the trash can, throwing the empty plastic cup away.

Facing the door, I walked away, however unknowingly I was bumped. "H-!"

"Hey, you're the kid studying right?" Turning to the voice, I froze. Oh dear, from everyone I could have encountered why is it you! Something in my chest made a beating noise, almost like playing the drums. For it was the hot barista that distracting me from my studies. And now he stood boldly with his hawk-like eyes. "Y-Yeah." Mumbled I. The barista buried his hands in his denim pockets searching for something. "Here," He handed me a written scratch sheet of paper. One side said Leo De la Iglesia in perfect cursive. "Call me anytime." He winked then left.

Turning the paper, was his phone number. I smiled a fool I am. A familiar aroma gave off the paper, almost like a scent of coffee~
