Chapter 4
Hyerin sat by the edge of the bed, watching him take the first aid kit from the store bag he had just purchased. He carefully removed the sponges and applied the brown liquid to them. Before applying the liquid to the wound, he cleansed the little cut on her knees.
"It's not that deep, so no need to stick it." Hyerin beamed at his kindness.
"So cute." Hyerin whispered it, which did not go undetected. Taehyung grinned evilly, exaggerating her pout.
"I didn't said anything if you heard anything, wronged it's not my problem, I cursed that cat."
Taehyung crossed his hands over his chest, covering the cut with a sponge and bandage, and looked at her, avoiding his eyes and teaching her fingers how to use the bandage. Her phone rang unexpectedly, making her jump out of panic.
"Oh it's mom." Taehyung held his chest, wheezing, and shook his head before returning the first aid kit to its table. "Mom I will come now I am at Taehyung's home."
"All right, wait. Do not worry, we are merely here." Hyerin sighed and hung up the phone.
Taehyung turned to her and nodded as he packed things away.
"Mom is too much sometimes." Hyerin attempted to stand up while gripping the wall. Taehyung observed her behavior and felt terrible about it.
"Wait I will drop you at home don't go alone that cat might be sleeping there again."
Hyerin chuckled, but was taken aback when he carried her by the waist again, just like before.
"Yahh! We're not a pair. Mom'll see."
"She refuses to say anything. And what if we become a couple later?" Taehyung gave a nasty smirk.
"Yahh." Hyerin beated and smacked his head.
"Ouch." Taehyung grabbed her hand and walked out of his house, forcing the door open with his leg. Hyerin can't help but giggle at their juvenile actions.
Taehyung unlocked her house gate and stepped into the porch, while the previous cat sprang and ran for his life. "See that cat got scared by you."
Taehyung didn't waste an opportunity to mock her. Hyerin didn't say anything but glanced aside with an angry pout. He rang the bell and grinned, waiting for her mother to open the door. After a second, the door opened, revealing Mrs. Hong's horrified expression. She became frozen and unable to move because Hyerin did not see anything, but she expected anything as she bowed her head to his chest, shielding her face from her mother's presence.
Taehyung assisted her in sitting down on her bed. Mrs. Hong entered with the same expression. She was unable to hear any words. When Taehyung left after saying goodnight, Mrs. Hong observed him heading to his house, unlocking the gate, and entering.
"So nice I wish I had a son." Mrs. Hong mumbled as she stared at her husband and their family photo, as well as Hyerin's older brother Hong Kang, who was holding her daughter's hand and smiling.
"I miss you both dears." Mrs. Hong went to her knees and silently whimpered at the moment that will never happen again in their lives.

The morning arrived, and the sun shone on the neighborhood as usual. The sun is presently shining brightly because spring has arrived in May. This is Hyerin's special month. Mrs. Hong will begin her birthday preparations early in the week. Hyerin rushed to the dining hall, dressed in professional office clothing. She always wore formal pants and fine shirts, and in offered stripped shirts with little accessories to complete her style.
"Mom breakfast uber will come now."
She was yelling. Mrs. Hong rushed in, bringing a lovely breakfast to the table. The doorbell rang, causing them to stare at each other.
"You eat I will go and check." Mrs. Hong checked out using the door's dash camera.
"Oh Taehyung my little boy come in." Taehyung entered as she opened the door for him. Mrs. Honng takes a 'wow' look at his formal working attire.
"So attractive again, I bet office girls will swoon over you, young man. Best wishes for the first day." She encouraged him as she took the keys from him.
"How about the breakfast?" Mrs. Hong recognizes him; from the minute he walked in, he was looking for her daughter.
"She is having breakfast Taehyung come in we can have together."
"No I will eat by nearby restaurant." Taehyung spoke as he stepped out.
"Why wasting the money , try to learn from her on that young man." Mrs. Hong spoke cordially. Taehyung quickly replied, checking his watch.
"No thank you, Mrs. Hong." On weekdays, I will have breakfast here. I can't be late on my first day. Okay, I'm leaving bye. Mrs. Hong's keys."
Taehyung pointed, shrugging off the thought of having the same job or having any other plans for the day. Taehyung said his goodbyes to Mrs. Hong, and Hyerin rushed in to wash her hands before peeling out via the main hall wall, where she observed her mother watching Taehyung leave in his car. She groaned, collected her luggage, and proceeded to the door to be picked up by her Uber, which had just arrived after Taehyung had departed.
"Mom bye today I am going to train the newcomers wish me luck."
"Ohmmo baby, all the best train them hard never make then cry." Mrs. Hong hugged and kissed her cheeks as she exited the house, taking her heels and dashing to the uber.
"Mom they are grown up." She yelled from the car as Mrs. Hong approached and sat on the couch, wondering about the birthday preparations.
"Now I will prepare the list and go for shopping."
