Ok I've always wanted to write down my Hermitcraft headcannons however I could never get them in a row but I finally did that so here they are (some hermits will be skipped mainly because I got nothing for them)

General world building:
-in this world there is one central world which acts a lot like our world but with more Minecraft logic

-the inhabitants of this world have the ability to create other smaller more limited worlds for their own purposes

-this worlds were originally made by harnessing the magic of the watchers however with the invention of more advanced technology capable of creating these worlds more efficiently, worlds are no longer created with help from the watchers and they're existence has been mostly forgotten

-there are many types of worlds that one can make the most popular being worlds made for a person to just vibe in and create whatever they want

-they way that the Nether works in these worlds is that the Nether is just a void filled with obsidian cubes filled with the regular Nether we all know and each server accesses a different mini cube in this void

-there is a main Nether that can only be accessed through the main overworld called Hels, this Nether is much bigger and more violent then any other hosting many unknown creatures that cannot be found in any other Nether cube

-the End works much differently, it is a giant void with many different islands and many different mini dragons for each server (there is a main end with a main dragon in the main overwold, but no one's attempted to kill it) it is actually not uncommon to see another player in the same end as you

-there is a certain type of server called a celebrity server which is any server that broadcasts their miss-haps to the public in any way which include radio shows, newspapers, tv shows, movies, or even social media

-Hermitcraft is broadcasted through a radio show and a newspaper both produced by the Hermitcraft Recap Team

-being an admin is something that you can actually learn to be in school and once you graduate you get a admin pass that allows you to create and host your own servers for other people

Grian:
-he came from a really big family

-one of his parents were human and one was a bird hybrid so a lot of his siblings look very bird like

-Grian is the most human looking out of his siblings but despite this he is still a bird hybrid

-he can talk to and understand birds and phantoms to an extent

-used to be a child actor which was what Yandere High school was (image his surprise when some of the actors actually got arrested for murder years later)

-went to school to study architecture/become an official admin

-one day Grian decided to make a fresh server for his friends to play on that would be broadcasted to the public as a celebrity server, however something was off about this server. It was glitched so it couldn't be updated manually (it was always his intention to make Evo update throughout the server's life) and instead it updated using these strange portals hidden around the server. There were also many monuments worshipping beings called "Watchers" but those can't actually be real? One day when they all decided to defeat the dragon Grian fell into the void and glitched so that it took a while to respawn. That and the fact that Grian thought he saw two elegant ladies before him everyone joked that he was taken by Watchers while he was glitched

-because Grian is a bird hybrid without wings he often feels like wearing elytra is more natural and treats them like a second limb

-Grian actually needs glasses but just wears contacts instead

-Kingdom of Valar was a DND session with the Yandere High School cast gone horribly wrong

-Grian has many different red shirts that are all of different designs (sweaters, hoodies,
T-Shirts, etc)

Scar:
-his scars were obtained in multiple different moments some examples being when he first met Jelly, when he first became a vex, when he died in demise, attacked by Bdubs, etc

-he was born and raised on a server where the inhabitants lived along side the villages in their villages

-despite his parents warnings he likes to hang out near the local Woodland Mansion which is wear he met Cub and was initiated into the Vex

-I've seen a lot of people try to incorporate Scar's IRL disability into his character through Robot legs but I personally prefer the idea that he uses a cane to move around (it fits the cowboy hat business man aesthetic)

-Jellie also has Vex magic, they just let anyone join cults these days

MumboJumbo:
-was one of those kids that were bumped up a few grades because they were so smart

-really doesn't show it though

-his real name is Viva and Mumbo Jumbo is just a nickname because he's always talking about random Mumbo Jumbo

-used to wear a dinosaur onesie religiously (still owns it)

-have you ever seen that one meme from the Office in of the pictures with the fancy guy shaking hands with the other guy? That's basically what it looked like when Mumbo joined

Iskall:
-ANDROID

-or al least 90% android, I came up with this idea when it was discovered that Iskall has a robot arm and I thought "what other robotic tricks are they hiding?"

-has some weird mixed up memories regarding who they were and why they were built

-the material that is used as his skin has warn off over the years which is why his eye and arm are sometimes visible

Rendog:
-grew up in a place on the main world where hybrids (particularly dog/wolf hybrids) were really common

-used to be a hippy and do weed with RenBob

-was a traveling musician for a short period of time

-while RenBob is pretty good with machinery because of a lack of supplies and a lack of knowledge on robotics Ren's robotic prosthetics are very buggy and don't work properly

Bdoubleo100:
-came from a rich family

-his father was an emotionally distant businessman and his mom was an artist that was into some weird things (he was closer to his mom)

-he eats bugs, no reason he just likes the taste

-the whole Jungle thing was caused by him getting possessed by some weird magic spirit of the jungle and as a result he feels a little uneasy around vines

-while trying to escape the Jungle in season 5 to enter season 6 the jungle ripped out his soul so now he is missing a soul, however he is unaware of this

-he also has a scar on his chest where his soul used to be

-during season 8 he started to develop some weird plant powers including being able to semi communicate with plants and having a pinching feeling whenever a plant dies near buy

-he managed to make friends with the local moss and became their king

-Bdubs also likes to sunbathe and he drinks more water than usual because of his plantines

CubFan:
-Was born vex

-grew up in a woodland mansion inhabited by players

-his hair is naturally white and the reason it's currently black is because of hair dye

-his old lab coat was specifically used for baking cakes

WelsKnight:
- was born and raised on a server that was very medieval

-Wels was an orphan raised on the server and became a powerful knight on it

-is actually a fae but doesn't know it despite the fact he has many Fae features

-during season 6 he had a "King in the Mountain" moment where he fell asleep and would only wake up when Hermitcraft needed him most, when the barrier between worlds was at its weakest

Xisuma:
-he wears his suit because he has sensory issues

-used to be a famous scientist but retired to focus more on Hermitcraft

-the reason he becomes half animal sometimes is either because of some weird coding mishap or a weirdly specific curse (no other option)

-he and Evil X are twins that had a falling out after some miscommunication

Vintage Beef:
-the reason his apron has blood on it is because that's just the design of the apron

-that's it that's my only headcannon

Etho Slab:
-was born on a server that was based in ancient Japan

-is a part of a clan of ninjas on that server

-he wanted to move to the main server to work on redstone projects however he is not allowed to leave his clan so he made a deal with the leader that he can leave whenever he wants but he will have to come on any ninja adventures when he is needed

-he decided that in the main wold his disguise would be of a character from a wildly inaccurate ninja anime that was around at the time in order to avoid suspicion through the power of reverse sociology (his hair was also already white so that means he could saw money on a wig)

-one time when he was about to show off a new redstone invention he was ambushed by some people from his server and had to fight them off without anyone noticing. During the fight he managed to get redstone in his eye which permanently stained it red which only made his disguise more convincing

-recently I found a clip of XB talking to Etho about how he looked under his mask calling it creepy and Etho responded saying that that's why he wears the mask. Soon after I found someone saying that when you remove the mask on his Minecraft skin it's just a black void, sooooooo that's that

-ok so I promised myself that I would never give into eldridge Etho headcannons but I'm this close to making him a reborn eldridge god because this Ninja backstory just isn't cool enough for him

Tango Tek:
-born in Hels as the Nether Spirit of a lava lake

-often tinkered with the redstone that a bunch of scientists left at the research cite near his lava lake

-eventually he decided to go through the portal that the scientists have set up and began his dream of becoming a professional redstoner

-his work with redstone was actually how he first met Impulse

-Since Tango's a spirit he has the ability to shape-shift however he cannot change his eye colour when he transforms

-he can also kinda control lava and fire to an extent

Impulse:
-a cryptid that doesn't know they are a cryptid

-his smile it just a bit to wide, his teeth are just a bit to sharp, his limbs are just a bit to long, his eyes are just a bit to bright, he has just a bit to much energy, he's just a bit off yet just enough for others to refrain from asking

-impulse just believes everyone is like this

-also has pretty fuzzy memories regarding his past

Zedaph:
-when he was born he was chosen to be the next grim reaper by Death himself and thus was given the power of immortality and an immunity to pain

-because of this Zedaph can't actually get injured or die, the only way Zed can die is if he falls into the void (this can be changed however with some difficult coding)

-Zedaph also has no idea that he's next in line to become the new death

-he does however get weird boosts of eldridge power sometimes and also gets weird dreams from death. Zedaph however just shrugs all this off

-not a headcannon but just wanted to point this out. In the alter ego ask and dare Worm Man is a clone of Zed however this isn't an official headcannon and I often like switching between the idea of Zed being Worm Man and Worm Man being a separate person

Zombie Cleo
-was born on a permadeath server

-died of an illness and got revived by some evil necromancer but managed to escape their control and met Joe

-a common headcannon but Cleo is really good at sewing from working with armour stands and trying to piece herself back together

Joehills:
-many years ago Joehills decided to meddle with the forces of Hels and ended up paying dearly for his exploits. He was possessed by his own Hels version who used his body to commit his acts of greed. Years later they made a deal where Joe can be in control of the body unless he encounters enough riches, that's when the BeetleJhost takes over.

-because of this there is a middle ground in which they are both in control called the Jhost, think of it like a fusion from Steven universe.

-also this possession made him kinda immortal

-I liked the idea that Joe used to be a street performer before he was asked to join Hermitcraft, idk I just think it's funny

TFC:
-he has Tea dates with herobrine (they frens :D)

-he owns a shirt that says "I killed my evil clone and all I got was this T-shirt"

Stress:
-I always liked the idea that she was a run away royal, however I just never came up with a solid backstory

False:
-again I liked the idea of her being raised in a clan of warriors but just like Stress I never came up with anything else
