Chapter 7

Antonio

"Get the damn money or I'll fuck you up!" I seethed, slamming the phone hard on my table. I was beyond pissed. What a way to start a bad morning. First, it was Camila. She sure knows how to open her mouth and blabber nonsense. I know that if I want to, I can teach her a lesson she'll never forget, one that would make her never look me in the eye and disobey me again. I didn't take advantage of her because I want her to beg for it. I want her to beg me to enter her, to feel my hardness inside her core. I'm going to make that happen. And it's going to be very soon. We didn't see each other this morning. She was acting all arrogant. But that's not my concern. She's my possession already. Whether she likes it or not.

The door to my office was pulled open, followed by Rain hot on his tails. "Good morning, Sir."

"Morning," I replied with a short answer.

"Raiden Castellano is here to see you. Your wife's brother," Rain informed me. The corner of my lips twitched, not at the mention of her brother, but at the way he labeled her as my wife. That sounded sweet. Yes. That's how I want people to label her. She's my wife.

"Let him in," I instructed, slouching down on the couch while Rain reversed his way out of the office. If Raiden was coming to beg me to save his ass, he better think of another alternative. I've exposed his dirty acts. I won't be the one to save his reputation.

Within what felt like three minutes, Rain returned with Raiden trailing behind him. Rain bowed down before turning around, while Raiden marched his way to my desk and made himself comfortable before I could invite him. "I see the boldness runs in the family," I remarked, intertwining my hands on the desk.

"What do you mean?" His tone was harsher than I'd have liked. One thing he doesn't know is that I hate it when someone acts all bold and arrogant. They have no right to behave that way towards me.

"What do you want?" I said, getting straight to the point.

"I'm here to give you a warning-"

A sound of laughter escaped me. "Warning? Have you even looked at yourself? I'm the one who gives warnings and sets the rules, Mr. Man. If this is about your sister, then rest assured she's in good hands."

"Good hands? You're nowhere close to good. You're a heartless man, manipulating situations to your advantage. Do you think you can destroy our family? Hell no." This time, a light smile erupted from me. Anger was beginning to build up in him. I sat up and took slow advances towards him.

I rested my hands on his shoulder from behind, leaning down to his ears. "Maybe you don't know this about me. When I set my target on something, I accomplish it no matter what. The same goes for your sister. She's my possession. No one will tell me how to handle my possession, be it you or your father." My words had sent shivers down his spine. I could feel how his body shuddered at my words.

"She is not your possession. She's nobody's possession. She's a human being, not an item." I dug my fingers into his shoulder, making him to wince. "Whether human or an item, she's still my possession. Get that into that tiny skull of yours and get out of here before I do something both of us wouldn't like."

He left my office weakly, passing me a glare that only fueled my determination. You could see fear all over his face. I'd call him a loser who can't do anything to protect his sister. And I will always win in a battle. That's Antonio Di Salvatore for you.

The moment I set foot in the house, I was greeted with smoke clouding the air everywhere. I coughed, covering my nose with my palms. What the hell was going on? I could barely see my surroundings. I caught a glimpse of where the smoke was coming from: the kitchen. I made quick advances, and with the smoke blocking my way, I managed to switch off the appliances. No one was in the kitchen. It had to be Camila.

Climbing my way up to the room, I banged open the door. "What the hell is wrong with you?" I roared. She was seated on the bed with earplugs in her ears, reading what I assumed was a book. She spared me a glance, her eyes dancing with a knowing look. She knew exactly what she did.

"You did that on purpose, right?" I exclaimed, grabbing her arm. "Do you want to burn down the house?"

I didn't miss the smile that curved up her lips. "It would've been better if I burned down the house together with you. I was actually waiting for you to come, to perceive the smoke of hatred, to cough out the disaster you've instigated in my heart." She sure has a mouth to talk big.

I pinned her to the bed, towering over her figure. My face was just a few inches away from hers. "Listen, you foolish woman. I will decide when you die. Burning down the house won't make me lessen my torture on you; instead, it will add more fuel to the fire. So get that in that tiny skull of yours." My grip on her arm was tight.

I released my hold and stepped back. "Get off the bed and get to work. You made the mess, you will fix it." I gave no room for explanation. I was halfway through the door when her voice resonated in my ears.

"You are not God. You cannot decide my life. You married me for your selfish desires. But know one thing, I will never succumb to your demands, alive or dead." Although her words held power, they didn't stop the twitch I felt inside. I think I'm in for a disastrous ride with this crazy woman.
