As Ash walked out of the stadium Serena tackled him into a hug as Max, Bonnie, and Dawn stayed back and watched the scene with Bonnie explaining to Max why she ships Ash and Clemont. "I knew you'd win!" Serena exclaimed still hugging Ash before letting go, Ash was practically gasping for air but looked at his friends with a smile. The five of them proceeded to  walk around and explore Viridian City with Ash buying a ton of snacks, with the excuse of not being able to battle on an empty stomach, Gary soon joined them and they spent the rest of the day having fun
