AN: I kind of suck at writing battles

The day was here the tournament was here and Ash's first battle was against Calem who was a rather experienced trainer. The opening round consisted of 2v2 battles so for his team Ash picked Sceptile, and Charizard. After the opening ceremony Ash and Calem walked into the stadium. The both of them proceeded to shake hands and then begun their battle, with Ash sending out Sceptile and Calem sending Aegislash.

"Aegislash use King's Shield" Calem commanded. "Swords Dance!" Ash called in response knowing that Aegislash could not currently attack. "Shadow sneak!" Calem ordered, Aegislash proceeded to extend it's shadow and attack Sceptile from behind who tried to dodge but failed to do so. "Sceptile counter wit-". However in the middle of his order Sceptile was further attacked by Aegislash using gyro ball with the attack knocking Sceptile out.

"Sceptile return Charizard your up", Ash said while sending out Charizard. "Charizard use flare blitz" Ash said. "Aegislash use king's shield then use toxic!" Calem ordered. Charizard whom is now poisoned was now having trouble with attacking. Ash was now desperate and decided to mega evolve Charizard with Charizard turning into it's mega evolved y form.

"Charizard flare blitz one more time" Ash commanded with Charizard engulfing itself in flames and charging at Aegislash who was knocked out after the attack. "Aegislash return, Diancie go"

Ash was shocked to see a mythical pokemon but was excited. "Rock tomb" Calem called while Diancie began to drop giant boulders on Charizard. "Charizard use sunny day!". "Diancie mega evolve" Calem called. After setting up sunny day Ash knew what to do, "Charizard use solar beam". Charizard used solar beam knocking out Diancie. After the end of the battle Calem and Ash shook hands again before Ash left the stadium.
