After their adventures in Viridian City Ash and the gang returned to their hotel room. And got a good night's sleep. The rest of the tournament continued as normal up until the semi finals where Ash was up against Clemont and Gary against Max. Ash was excited to finally be able to officially battle a traitor. 

In the morning Ash walked into the stadium and across from him was Clemont who had a rather smug look on his face. "Ready to lose Red," Clemont said remembering the humiliation he had endured a few days ago at the hands of Ash and his Pokemon.

"This is a 3v3 battle now battle Begin!" the referee said. "Sceptile let's go!", Ash said sending out his Sceptile, "Metagross go", Clemont said throwing his Poke Ball of which Metagross came out of. "Sceptile use Leaf Blade!" Ash said before Sceptile used Leaf Blade, "Metagross counter it with Hammer Arm" Clemont said with Metagross slamming its arm down onto Sceptile.

Sceptile was severely damaged by Metagross' Hammer Arm, "Sceptile use Leaf Storm!" Ash ordered, "Metagross use Iron Defense and then use Meteor mash", Metagross strengthened its defense stat before using Meteor Mash, knocking Sceptile out. Ash proceeded to send out his next Pokemon, "Infernape your up!" Ash said before throwing his Poke Ball. "Metagross use earthquake!" Clemont ordered. "Infernape dodge it then use flare blitz"...
