Percy's POV

I couldn't believe Annabeth would cheat on me, With my brother even! I ran to my cabin to pack my belongings, It was time for me to leave.

Shortly after I close the door I hear someone knocking. I pulled out Riptide and answered the door to find Thalia and Nico.

"Don't kill me," Nico jumped back.

"Don't kill people who try to help you," Thalia lectured.

"How are you going to help?" I asked as I slung my bag over my shoulder.

"Your running." Thalia stated," We'll come with you, together we can defeat almost anything."

She was right, "Okay, lets go," I knew I needed a weapon, but I couldn't use Riptide anymore. I set it on my bed, My Jerk brother could use it. After all he was Poseidon' favorite son.

As we left neither of us looked back.

We made it too my mom's apartment the next day. It was a beautiful morning, one not fitting my mood. I knocked on the door, but no one came. I tried the door, it was unlocked.

We walked in, and the sight that greeted us was terrible. My mom's throat was slit, Paul didn't even have his head. I didn't see anything else because I blacked out. Later Thalia and Nico said they had to hide when Poseidon showed up. Eventually he left and they dragged me out to a park where they waited for me to wake.

Now we are camping in some woods. I have no idea what day it is, only that Thalia was a bad cook. Then three hellhounds appeared. We got our weapons out. Nico had given me a knife he didn't use anymore.

The hellhounds approached, but right as they lept they dissapeared. A man had appeared in their place.

"Who are you? What do you want?" Nico challenged.

"I need an army and you three need a home. A shelter from the gods that wish to kill you. With me you can have another family. A family that will not betray you. You will be more powerful than those trying to destroy you." The man said, I suddenly knew his name, Chaos.

"Why should we trust you?" This man was suspicious. Why would he offer this?

"You have nothing left, you can trust me. In the end though it's your choice."

"I'll go," Thalia stepped forward. What was she thinking?"

I noticed the look Nico gave Thalia before stepping forward. " Me too."

I sighed, I didn't trust this guy, but I couldn't leave my friends. They had given up everything for me. "Okay, Count me too.

"Great! now follow me," He ordered as he stepped through a portal. We followed him into our new lives.
