The Dance
Srry I haven't been updating any of my stories! I just kinda haven't found the time...
But that's not an excuse.
Anyways, I present:
The Dance
That sounded so corny
Linh's POV (yea I switching it)
Oh my gods.
"It's perfect!" I squealed, laying the dress on the bed to see it better.
The gorgeous dress in front of me was azure blue, with a showy mid-calf length skirt, the empire waist beset with diamonds and the skirt thinly dotted with silver. It also was sleeveless with a sweetheart neckline.
"Glad I could help," Biana replied, flopping down on her bed. Even for Biana, looking through her closet for three hours trying to find a perfect dress for me was exhausting. But not tiring enough, apparently.
"So," Biana said, sitting up and leaning towards me. "Who's the lucky lady?" Biana already knew I was lesbian.
I blushed. "Marella."
She gasped. "Really? Do you have a crush on her?"
I nodded and I felt my face grow hot. Biana might be the easiest person to talk to, other than my brother of course, but she still wanted all the gossip. So I told her the story.
"I started liking her this year, and it was so awkward. But then, as you know, Tam and Keefe were missing one day. So Marella and I went looking for them. I was so nervous! Being alone with your crush for the first time is just...insane. All these emotions were going through me and all I could think was, 'She's holding my hand!' Even though she was grabbing my wrist. But still! And...I asked her out to the dance, but then I messed up and added 'as friends'. But she agreed. Hopefully, I can tell her how I feel during the party, she'll probably Bo so drunk that she won't even remember."
"Good," Biana was nodding along, taking notes in a binder. Yes, I included the wedding binder.
"Are you writing this down?" I asked teasingly, though I knew what she was doing. Planning our wedding. She did it for every single couple or future couple that would ever exist.
"Yep. Tell me, what room did you find Keefe and Tam in?"
"Room 609."
"Hmm." was all she had to say.
We stayed silent for a few minutes until I realized Biana didn't have a dress. But when I brought that point up, she simply waved it off and told me not to worry.
So I went home.

"Tammy!" I exclaimed as I walked into Tam's room, only to catch sight of him and Keefe kissing with their skirts off. Huh. I wonder what they were doing.
"Oh...hi Linh," he said awkwardly, looking for his shirt.
"Hi," I said, raising my eyebrows. Tam blushed as he diligently searched for his shirt.
"It's right here," I told him, holding up his black, long sleeved shirt. He looked relieved.
"Thanks Linh," he grabbed it and I giggled. It was a little too large for him. Hmm...maybe I accidentally switched Keefe's hair with his. Oops.
He sighed and turned to me, giving up on the shirt search.
"What's up?" Keefe asked, wrapping an arm around Tam. I looked at him.
"Hey Keefe? How would you feel if I told you I'm lesbian?"
"Really? That's cool. I'm bi."
"I noticed. Anyways, you know how I have a crush on Marella, right Tammy?"
Keefe's jaw dropped slightly, but he didn't say anything.
"Yeah, and?"
"I'mgoingwithhertothedancebutjustasfriendsandIamsuperstressedoutand—"
"Hey, woah slow down. I get it. You'll be fine."
Haha Destiny remember how many times a day I would say that to you?
I took a shaky breath. "Okay."
He patted my back and smiled his tiny little smile. It was the biggest grin I'd ever gotten out of him. But I think he was just amused at my lesbian panic.

I pulled my hair into a waterfall braid and secured it with hairpins that matched my dress. I tuck a small silver flower behind my ear. I looked at myself in the mirror.
I really hope Marella likes it.
I arrive at the dance and see students already drunk and laughing and falling on top of one another.
I wait for Marella to arrive.
A boy approaches me. "Hey there pretty girl. What are you doing all alone out here? You know what, come to my place after the party and we'll have a fun night." He winked.
I felt a hand grab my arm.
"She's with me," Marella sassily told him.
"Alright, whatever you say," the boy said, quickly backing away.
"Why did her listen to you?" I asked after a moment.
"He's one of my exes. I told him if he ever flirted with me or one my friends, I would beat him up."
"Oh." Yet another reason why Marella and I probably won't work out: she's straight. Not only that, but she's also had many exes in the past, and is very feisty.
"Let's go get punch, I'm thirsty!" She said brightly, leading me to the snack tables. That punch was most definitely spiked. And I'm not getting drunk anytime soon.
Just thirty minutes later, Marella was wasted and hanging out with wasted Biana.
"Hey we should play spiiiinnnnn the boooottttlllleeee," Marella slurred, collapsing into my arms. I set her down gently while she looked around.
"Yeeeeeppppp alright! Linhhh you fiiirrrsssttt."
I spun the empty punch cup and it almost landed on me again, but it landed slightly to my left, which was where Marella was. Oh no.
I kissed her shyly and gently on the lips. But Marella didn't want just that. She pulled me closer, deepening the kiss as her tongue explored my mouth and she smiled.
I think she liked me.
Ah, what a wholesome ending.
Not for long tho...
Cya'll laters!
