Fitz POV

I watched as the scenes from Nyx's past flew by.... On and on it went, until suddenly it stopped on a single memory. 

Italic is Nyx's Memory- Third Person POV

Nyx landed in her House of Night, spreading her magnificent black wings, as she raced to her living room to relax after a hard work of bringing the night to the mortals. 

Nyx was surprised when she saw her daughter, Hemera, poking around her things, Hemera hardly visited. 

Finally, Hemera noticed her. 

"Well, hello mother..." Hemera said snootily as she started looking through Nyx's pile of books, "Do you ever, how should I say this..., live a little? Or do you just come to your little 'mansion' and sulk at the walls." Hemera strolled over to her mother, Nyx, as her mother struggled to contain her anger. 

"Hello, Hemera." replied Nyx, gritting her teeth, "And, I'm sure we had this little discussion before, but you're not welcome here..." 

"Sure I'm not...." Hemera snorted," After all, I'm the beautiful day" Hemera lifted her arms and soft light began to seep in," While you're just the dreadful night... who hides." Hemera finished pointing at Nyx's shadows as they started to retreat from the bright light. 

"Hemera.... What exactly did you come here for?" Nyx asked, trying really hard not to unleash her wrath on her daughter. 

"Well, let me just tell you this, dear old mother. I realized, that everybody hates the night... The darkness, the monsters. And I have decided to get rid of them once and for all... starting with you..." Hemera tilted her head and continued," these monsters are your spawns, are they not? Well, I'll be doing all of my little demigods and elves a favor for, and try not to take this too hard, destroy night. Believe me mother, I don't want to do this..." Hemera started to glow brighter and brighter, and with a guttural shout she unleashed all the light she had, onto her mother. 

"Oh.... my dear Hemera... I never realized that you love all this attention from your puny demigods and elves, using you as their henchmen. " Nyx interrupted herself with a cough of ichor, blood of the gods," But let me just tell you this... night always wins..." 

"Maybe so, Nyx, but not this time..." Hemera nodded to the corner while gasping heavily for air. 

Nyx took too long to tell what was going on. 

"Noooooo... You ungrateful creatures!" Nyx shouted as an elf and a demigod bounded her with chains of light.  

Fitz POV (CONTINUED)

"So that's it..." Nyx spat out bitterly as she blinked back tears," Your so-called Council and your friends, the demigods trapped me. I spent thousands of year, in agony, because of my daughter. Unfortunately, she faded away before I could fully recover, but now I'm back! So... now... "Nyx tilted her head," I can unleash my wrath on her little... pets..." 

My face paled and I tried to back away. 

"Your elf friends would try to look for you, and they will be convinced that the demigods took you away... Meanwhile, you'll be locked here, and look through the mirror, little one... You would look at it as the battle unfolds..." Nyx laughed, a dark humorous laugh. 

I stared at her, shocked and dumbfounded. 

I didn't know what extraordinary lengths she would go to, just to finally get her revenge. 

"Now, sister... The battle has begun!" 

So... I finished the part...
